Beautiful historic inn. Everything is decorated to the nines. The woman at the front desk was amazing and although our room was having repairs when we first arrived, we were offer champagne and sat on the deck to wait. It was minorly inconvenient but our room was Beautiful, they do have an in-house bar and restaurant, definitely more upscale and price reflects that. But was very romantic and well worth the visit, our second actually, and we will return. It doesn't disappoint!!

This is the BEST hotel that I have ever stayed at! The rooms were exceptionally clean and actually spotless!! We were welcomed by a lady at an antique desk who was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and charming. We were left a sweet note and candy when we arrived. We even got a free breakfast that was delicious and in their elegant dining room. Our room had a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The bathroom was spotless. They have a bar area and outdoor seating. There were not a lot of places to walk and the hotel is a little secluded but perfect for a get -a -way from regular life. We were only passing through so we only stayed one night but I would have loved to stay longer. I hope to go back someday. They even had wine glasses and ice bucket for us! The rooms were decorated with beautiful antique furniture. The bed was very comfortable!!! Great place to stay for couples. There is a lot of construction happening right now but in order to keep a place maintained you are going to have that. It didn’t bother us at all. Highly recommend this hotel. The library was also adorable!

I was torn on writing this review because I believe this place would be a 5/5 star after they finish construction - but in my case I had to give it a 3/5 stars. This B&B is located in a very quiet area, with not much to do this time of year other than skiing and eating - but very romantic. The place is very clean, rooms are luxurious, and the staff are kind. Reason I am giving it 3/5 instead of 5/5: This B&B had a fire back in August/September of 2024. They have been working on renovating the kitchen/dining area as well as what seemed like some rooms. Our room was directly above the kitchen. You would expect construction to halt on the weekend.. or at minimum have a late start / early end time considering it is a B&B - but that was not the case. Since we had arrived, there was loud cutting, nailing, screwing, etc directly under and on the same floor as where our room was. This was going on from at least 8 AM until 8 PM. One night, it went on 11 PM the night before and they started again at 7 AM when we were leaving. I feel this is unacceptable considering the reason to choose a B&B like this over a cheap hotel is for the quiet, romantic feel of it. Like I said - I am sure this place would be a 5/5 star outside of the construction.. but I do not recommend staying here until end of February/March when I believe they said construction will be done.

We've stayed here once we've eaten here a few times. It is definitely a full-on luxury boutique inn. During peak season it can be very expensive at times upwards of $600 a night. Most of the time the prices are closer to half that. Now several months ago, they had a fire in the kitchen which didn't cost too much damage but the fire suppression system certainly did. They had to literally strip everything down to the walls remove all of the carpeting replace all of the wallpaper so the place looks absolutely brand new again. There's been a fire about 20 years ago it's leveled the building and they rebuilt it, having a very quaint exterior but very modern very luxurious interior. Without a doubt probably the most luxurious inn in all of the Jackson area. Now this particular time that we were there the food was an issue. During the closing they lost most of their kitchen staff. It was pretty evident that the tenderloin that I had was not completely prepared in house but was bought grill marked from a vendor such as Sysco. Basically you're buying a slightly prepared piece of high-end meat and then you finish it off in your kitchen. Is for medium rare it came out Beyond well done. At this point my appetite was kind of gone. They insisted on bringing out another piece that looked almost identical, that's how I can tell this is pre-portioned. I'm in the food service business so I know these things. It was better than the first piece it was medium rare instead of well beyond well done. Unfortunately it had the consistency of a piece of steak that had been Frozen thawed and then fast recooked. The surprising disappointment for what I consider one of the finest dining restaurants in the greater Jackson area. I was hoping in this instance that they would have either reduced the price or even comp the meal. They did not. I was disappointed in that. If we made blunders like that we would definitely have comped the meal. We definitely will consider staying there again but I don't know whether we'll eat there. We've had far better culinary luck over at the Wentworth inn.

My wife and I booked our stay and purchased a romantic dining experience at the Inn back in Oct for end of Dec to celebrate our 25th anniversary. On our way to the Inn, an hour before arrival, we received a call from the front desk asking us if we were aware of the "fire" they had in the kitchen and the "situation with dining". Of course we were unaware of any "issues" since its not posted on their website and we were not notified at time of booking. They explained the kitchen and bar was closed and that they would be happy to shuttle us to their sister Inn for dinner and breakfast. Come to find out the fire occurred in early August. We did stay over and the room was nice but the fireplace made it extremely warm. I admit we could have opened the windows, so keep that in mind. Unfortunately around 10pm the power went out in Jackson. We sat in complete darkness for most of the night. Nobody from the Inn came by our room to check on us or provide an update. Overall, our experience was okay and the people seemed nice, but we are very disappointed in the lack of transparency with the Inn in regards to "kitchen situation". We also discovered that neither the spa, nor the wine cellar were open either. Again, nothing on their website provided that info nor were we notified at booking. They did apologize for the "miscommunication" but as my wife and I sat and waited in the lobby for our room to be ready, we heard the person at the front desk calling 4 or 5 other patrons regarding their stay that weekend - seemed like the "miscommunication" was a calculated one. As a side note, I was still charged full price with no offer for any comps or discounted future booking. Next time, we will stay somewhere else.
