The Legacy Resort is strategically located at 6808 S 32nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85042, USA. This address places it at the base of South Mountain, providing a picturesque setting with views of the golf course and the surrounding desert landscape. For individuals traveling by car, the resort’s location offers relatively straightforward access from various points within the Phoenix metropolitan area. It's approximately 7-8 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), typically a 10-15 minute drive, making it convenient for both arrivals and departures. Its proximity to major thoroughfares, including the I-10 freeway (about 1.9 miles from Exit 151b), ensures excellent connectivity, whether you're coming from downtown Phoenix, Tempe, Chandler, or Scottsdale.
While the resort offers a serene and expansive environment, it's important for guests to consider transportation, as noted in customer reviews: "Limited access to food if you traveled without vehicle. Nothing in walking distance other than the clubhouse on property." This means that having a car is highly recommended for exploring beyond the resort grounds. However, for those without a vehicle, taxi services, ride-shares (like Uber, as mentioned by a guest), and public bus routes (with transfers to light rail) are available to connect to various parts of Phoenix. The address is uncomplicated to locate using standard GPS devices or popular navigation applications, ensuring a smooth arrival. The resort's design, featuring 12 separate buildings spread across the property, means that reaching your specific room after check-in, especially with luggage, might involve a walk. While golf carts are available on-site for staff, guests noted that "no one offered us a ride" after arriving by Uber, suggesting it’s a good idea to inquire about assistance if needed, particularly with heavy bags, or to be prepared for a walk of "nearly two football fields" to reach certain buildings. Despite the need for a vehicle for off-site excursions, the resort's tranquil location at the base of South Mountain provides a peaceful retreat away from the immediate city bustle.
The Legacy Resort, operating with a focus on a more independent, timeshare-style guest experience, provides an extensive array of services and amenities designed to ensure a comfortable and self-sufficient stay.
The Legacy Resort distinguishes itself with several unique features and highlights that enhance the guest experience, particularly appealing to those seeking a more relaxed and activity-rich stay.

Apr 17, 2025 · Erika CookOverall: A nice place to stay, though it felt more like an Airbnb than a traditional hotel. Rooms: The rooms were comfortable but featured slightly older décor. The main downside was the doors—they were difficult to close and very loud. It wasn’t just our room; you could hear doors slamming throughout the village. Cleanliness: The room was clean upon arrival, but there was no daily turndown service. During our four-day stay, no one came to collect trash or provide fresh towels, which was disappointing. Service: The front desk staff was polite and courteous during check-in. However, we received no assistance getting to our room. After arriving by Uber, we had to walk nearly two football fields with our luggage to reach our building. Although golf carts were available, no one offered us a ride, which would have made the experience much more pleasant. Location: Limited access to food if you traveled without vehicle. Nothing in walking distance other than the clubhouse on property.
Nov 22, 2024 · Jason KingThe rooms are sizeable. However, the closet was missing a knob. The door to the bathroom was very difficult to close and needed to be fixed. There is a nice pool area. The water was too cold for most of the people sitting around the area, including myself. The pool closed at 6:00 due to no pool lights on one side. We arrived at the property at 11:00am. and requested an early check-in. The staff said they would contact us when the room was ready. It was after 3:00pm before we were able to check in so there was no accommodation for us. Also, upon check-in, be aware that there is a $300.00 deposit per room. I was not aware of this and had reserved 2 rooms, so $600.00 deposit was a little suprise to me. You are also asked to watch a 90 min presentation of the resorts that are offered. This was not disclosed either prior to check-in. We did have a njce stay, but for a Whyndam property it was not up to my expectations.
Oct 19, 2024 · Jo Beth LatimerThe rooms are nice, but they have forgotten how to use the vacuum and wash the floors with water! Security doesn’t watch the building very well… There was a homeless car parked in the parking lot and the guy was taking a pee in the parking lot and security walked right past. Disgusting! We complain to the front desk and the manager, Kelly just made excuses about everything. Security came and talked to us and said they handled the situation. Unfortunate that a customer has to bring it to their attention. we watched housekeeping walk past garbage that was on the ground twice and finally we picked it up in front of them to prove a point. Sad for people who pay a lot of money to be part of this membership. we pay a lot of money in dues each month to not worry about these kind of situations.
Sep 21, 2023 · Mike HarveyGreat place rooms very clean. Problems with reservation's we were locked out of our room because they had rented it even though we had it for two nights.
