Mar 08, 2025 · chas kennedyThe food and service is personalized and amazing. Hiking has varied terrain and a massage afterward is the best. Since I don't shoot or fish, my wish is pilates or yoga daily- then it would be perfect!
Nov 14, 2024 · MarilynI felt the need to share our wonderful experience this past weekend. The 4 of us were looking for a 2-night getaway within a 3-hour radius. The Glendorn was recommended so we booked. We had no idea that we would receive the attention and care bestowed as soon as we booked. Megan called us before our arrival to inquire about what activities we were interested in, and any food preferences/allergies. When we arrived we were welcomed warmly, our itinerary was reviewed including our meal time for dinner and the activities we booked. We were given a brief tour of the main lodge and the history of the Glendorn. We were then escorted to our cottage and given an overview of the amenities. We found our cottage fully stocked with water, soft drinks the infamous "Glendorn chocolate chip cookies, a delicious cheese and cracker plate, fresh flowers, a full stockpile of dry logs for the fireplace, and anything one would need as far as toiletries go. Once we settled in, we were asked to arrive 30 minutes before dinner to find a staff member at the door to welcome us, take our coats, and escort us to a beautiful gathering room for complimentary appetizers and cocktails. We were then escorted to the dining room where we received the BEST service any of us have ever experienced. We elected to order the 4-course meal prepared by their chef and were not disappointed. For breakfast every day we had the option to eat at the lodge or have breakfast delivered to our cottage, what..... we could not believe this! The following morning we awoke to our breakfast delivery, two gentlemen delivered more wood and shoveled and cleared our vehicle of snow from the night before. As you can see I am thoroughly impressed! This resort is a GEM and I highly recommend it. We look forward to returning.
Jan 16, 2024 · Becky DeYulisThis place is a national treasure! The grounds are well maintained with many trails to meander on. A time capsule to the 40s. The cabins are preserved in time. Service is impeccable and the meals are inspired. We shared a cabin with close friends and it was perfect. Caught some beautiful trout. Shot skeet and wobble trap. We will definitely be back
Feb 27, 2024 · Mitchell PaGirl trip here was a fantastic experience. Customer service was exceptional. They would have probably ran to the store for tampons if we needed. Wood burning fireplaces in every building and cabin. Gives you the luxurious cabin feel in the countryside. Shuttle service around the property if requested. Breakfast and lunch brought to your cabin if requested. Beautiful dining area for fancy dining, pictures below. Complimentary popcorn and ice cream bar available 24/7. Conference room and billiards rooms plus games and books available. Saturday evening they offer brews and a campfire with s'mores. Other seasonal experiences are fly fishing and skeet shooting. Accommodations are on the expensive side but the amount you get with it helps balance it out. Cabins are stocked with sodas, waters, fruit basket and cheese tray upon arrival. Even called during a rain storm to see if we needed help packing the car on departure. I would consider this place a diamond in the rough or a magical land that just appears in the countryside with only small town living near by.
