This inn was old but quaint. We had a room on first floor which was clean with a very comfy bed. Frank, the owner, made us delicious waffles (his own recipe) but there was lots to pick from besides that for breakfast. Location was very close to town and we would definitely come back.

My wife and I spent two nights here last weekend and place was great. Frank made awesome, home made waffles that were delicious. Short ride into town and Mad River Ski area. Comfortable and relaxing. Nice place to stay.

DISAPPOINTING. GROSS. LEFT AFTER ONE NIGHT. One of the most unpleasant places we have ever stayed. We booked 3 nights and left after our first night. The inn is old and while it looks cute at first, it is not well kept. The host admitted that he usually leaves the front door unlocked. On top of that, the door to our room didn’t close unless you used your entire body to slam it shut. The furniture is so worn down, tarnished, and squeaky that it is almost not unusable. The bathroom still had the previous guest’s bar of soap and the shower squealed due to bad pipes. Most of the needed upgrades would be an easy fix but the host seems to not care. He leaves the second after he checks you in and didn’t offer any recommendations or a warm welcome.

Came to this lovely Inn for a retreat this past weekend. The venue is quaint and cozy. The hosts are absolutely incredible, providing delicious food and excellent service with love. The backyard is a magical wonderland with a beautiful inviting landscape, tall trees, the sounds of trickling water through the pond and trails to an amazing hike into nature. The room was comfortable and felt like home. Thank you Swanson Inn!

I truly could not give higher praise for the Swanson Inn, from check-in to check-out. Tim and Rick's communication and responsiveness throughout our stay could not have made it any smoother. Not to mention, the comforters on the beds were insanely comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was more than I ever could have imagined--homemade muffins, local yogurt, homemade specialty items (like eggs to order and quiche). The outdoor space is also a fantastic to enjoy nature. Overall, a fantastic way to enjoy Vermont, and I will definitely be back!
