Great location just minutes from the mountain! Nick is an incredible host and is so easy to get in touch with! The house is spacious and there is more than enough room. We are so happy we chose to stay at Triple Tree and would definitely recommend this as a great spot if planning to ski Mount Snow! Loved the hot tub and the layout of the house.
For those seeking an unforgettable mountain escape in Vermont, Triple Tree Lodging, located at 617 Vermont Rte 100 West, West Dover, VT 05356, USA, presents an excellent option within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. Unlike traditional hotels, Triple Tree Lodging specializes in providing spacious, private home and condo-style accommodations, perfect for families, groups, and enthusiasts of outdoor activities, particularly skiing and snowmobiling.
The environment at Triple Tree Lodging is perfectly suited for a Vermont adventure. Situated just a short distance from Mount Snow – specifically, about 1.25 miles north of the main Mount Snow entrance on Route 100 – the location is incredibly convenient for skiers and snowboarders. Beyond its proximity to the slopes, the property boasts a significant advantage: it directly abuts the Green Mountain National Forest and offers direct access to the vast Vermont Association of Snow Travelers (VAST) snowmobile trails. This makes it an unparalleled "home base" for snowmobilers. The surrounding landscape provides a tranquil and natural setting, ideal for those looking to immerse themselves in Vermont's scenic beauty year-round. The lodging options are designed to feel like a "complete home base," offering a private and comfortable space for relaxation after a day of activities. The property includes two parking lots; a North lot primarily used for trailers and snowmobile access, and a main lot for general parking, with clear instructions to prevent snowmobiles in the main lot during winter. Guests are also advised about snow falling off roofs in winter. Outdoor living spaces are available, with some units featuring furnished decks with dining tables, gas grills, charcoal grills, and secluded backyards. The natural surroundings mean wildlife is present, and guests are encouraged to secure trash and doors to maintain the peaceful coexistence.
The services at Triple Tree Lodging prioritize comfort and convenience for group stays. The focus is on providing self-contained units that offer all the necessities of a home away from home. Each condo-style unit and private home comes with a fully equipped kitchen, including stainless steel appliances, dishwashers, microwaves, Keurig coffee makers, blenders, toasters, and granite countertops, allowing guests to prepare their own meals. This is a significant advantage for families and groups who prefer to cook and dine together. Essential amenities like free WiFi, linens, in-unit washer/dryers, and travel cribs are provided, ensuring a hassle-free stay. The host, often identified as "Nick," is consistently praised in reviews for being "incredible" and "so easy to get in touch with," indicating a responsive and helpful management style that contributes positively to the guest experience. While there isn't a traditional front desk like a hotel, the direct communication with the host facilitates a smooth stay. There's also a small coin-operated laundry facility on the premises for guest use. Trash disposal is made easy with a dumpster on site, picked up weekly.
The features of Triple Tree Lodging are designed for comfort, space, and group enjoyment. The accommodations vary, ranging from two-bedroom one-level units that sleep up to four guests, to townhouse-style two-bedroom units accommodating four to six guests. There are also larger private homes, some with as many as eight bedrooms, capable of sleeping up to 12 adults and 8 children, with a total capacity of up to 20 guests. These spacious layouts ensure "more than enough room" for everyone. Key features in the units often include a living room, a gas fireplace for a warm and inviting atmosphere, and flat-screen TVs. Many units also have pull-out sofas for additional sleeping arrangements. A standout feature, specifically mentioned by guests, is the presence of a private hot tub in some of the larger homes, offering a perfect way to relax after a day on the slopes or trails. Indoor living spaces typically include open floor plans, multiple levels of living space, and separate dining areas. Some units feature a wet bar or a lower-level bar with seating, ideal for social gatherings. While the properties generally do not have air conditioning, the Vermont climate often makes it less necessary, especially during the cooler seasons. For safety, units are equipped with carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, first aid kits, and fire extinguishers.
Triple Tree Lodging is especially known for its appeal to snowmobilers, with some guests noting that seasonal renters even help groom the VAST trails that connect directly to the property. This sense of community and direct access to recreational activities is a strong selling point. During warmer months, the property is an excellent base for hiking and biking, with trails accessible directly from the property. In summer, picnic tables and BBQ grills are put out for guests to enjoy outdoor dining.
From a promotional standpoint, Triple Tree Lodging emphasizes its prime location for accessing Mount Snow and the VAST snowmobile trails, making it ideal for winter sports enthusiasts. It caters specifically to groups and families seeking a "home away from home" experience rather than a traditional hotel stay. The spacious accommodations, full kitchens, and amenities like private hot tubs are key highlights. The friendly and accessible host is also a significant selling point, ensuring a personalized and supportive experience. The lodging promotes itself as a year-round destination, appealing to skiers, snowboarders, snowmobilers in winter, and hikers, bikers, and nature lovers in summer. The "neat, tidy, modern" appearance of the properties, as described by visitors, contributes to its overall appeal. Guests looking to book can contact Triple Tree Lodging directly at (516) 474-0883 or +1 516-474-0883. Mar 17, 2024 · Adrianne CassidyOnly visited a friend, but the property looks neat, tidy, modern and provides a complete home base for snowmobilers visiting Vermont for the VAST trails! My friend says the people who rent here usually rent for the whole season and some of them like to help out grooming the trail that connects to VAST when the fresh snow falls. So, if you're looking for a home away from home on vacation, this place is it!
Jan 27, 2024 · Gayle NicholsonMy family just spent a week in one of their 2 bedroom units and the place was great! Clean accommodations, fresh linens, gas fireplace, and fully stocked with kitchenware and appliances. The staff (Mary and Gary) were very friendly and helpful too. All that and only a 2 minute drive from our parking place to the slopes of Mount Snow. Looking forward to our next ski trip there!
