I wouldn't recommend this extended stay hotel to my worst enemies. While the location was fine and the room itself wasn't bad, the experiences me and my family had with the staff were some of the worst experiences I've had dealing with people of any company in all of my 34 years of living. The manager, a rather heavy-set woman who I won't name out of courtesy, lied on multiple occasions about prices, the ability to stay, and most importantly, things my family did not do. Without getting into too many details, the hotel at first seemed like a blessing while my family was in-between permanent housing, but after only a few months in, it was clear management did not want us there and attempted using multiple different lies as an excuse to have us leave. Only after both law enforcement and higher management were involved were things resolved in even a remotely fair manner, and we left shortly thereafter. Absolutely horrible experience with horrible people as staff. I would NEVER stay here again or recommend it to anyone I care about.

WoodSpring Suites Harrisburg Linglestown is situated in Harrisburg, PA, at 6351 Chelton Ave. The specific location in Linglestown suggests it is likely positioned to offer relative ease of access to local amenities, transportation routes, and potentially major employment centers within the Harrisburg area. Extended stay hotels often prioritize locations that provide convenience for guests who may be commuting to work or need access to shopping, dining, and other essential services for an extended period. While direct details on the immediate surrounding environment (e.g., proximity to parks, commercial centers, or quiet residential areas) are not explicitly provided, its Harrisburg address implies integration within the broader metropolitan area. The user review mentions the location was "fine," indicating it might be generally acceptable for an extended stay, though individual preferences for surroundings can vary.
Extended stay hotels like WoodSpring Suites typically cater to guests requiring more than standard hotel amenities. This often includes in-room kitchens or kitchenettes with refrigerators, stovetops, and microwaves, allowing guests to prepare their own meals and reduce dining costs over a longer stay. Laundry facilities on-site are also a common feature, providing convenience for extended stays. While specific details on the breadth of services (e.g., housekeeping frequency, fitness centers, business services) are not provided in the given information, the core offering of an extended stay hotel focuses on self-sufficiency and cost-effectiveness for longer durations. The provided customer reviews, however, shed some light on what to expect. One review specifically notes "absolutely no common amenities (coffee pot, hair dryer, ect)," which is an important consideration for potential guests accustomed to these in standard hotels. This suggests a more minimalist approach to in-room provisions, aligning with a budget-friendly extended stay model where guests might be expected to bring or acquire their own personal items.
Customer reviews offer critical insights into the real-world experience at WoodSpring Suites Harrisburg Linglestown. It is important to note that the provided reviews highlight significant concerns regarding staff conduct and room conditions. One reviewer describes "horrible experience with horrible people as staff," specifically mentioning issues with a manager regarding pricing, ability to stay, and alleged false accusations. This individual's account suggests a challenging relationship with management that required external intervention to resolve. Another review corroborates negative experiences with a female manager, detailing a situation involving a late checkout request and an uncalled-for threat of police involvement. These accounts point to potential inconsistencies in customer service and communication from certain staff members, particularly management, which could be a significant deterrent for guests seeking a comfortable and hassle-free extended stay.
Regarding room conditions, one review mentions the room "smelled like a cleaning agent trying to cover up bad odors" and observed "used and stained" sheets. The bed was described as "uncomfortable," blankets "thin," and pillows "super cheap." The absence of blackout curtains leading to "bright sun" in the morning is also noted as a comfort issue. These details suggest that while rooms may appear superficially clean, deeper issues with cleanliness, comfort, and basic amenities might exist, impacting the overall quality of stay for some guests. While the review states, "I am not super picky since I didn't stay there long," the issues raised are fundamental to guest comfort and satisfaction.
Based on the nature of extended stay hotels and WoodSpring Suites' brand positioning, the primary promotional appeal is typically centered around affordability and cost savings for longer durations. These hotels often offer weekly or monthly rates that are significantly lower than nightly rates at traditional hotels, making them an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers or those needing temporary housing. While specific promotional offers or discounts are not provided in the given information, the value proposition of WoodSpring Suites Harrisburg Linglestown would likely hinge on providing a basic, functional living space for an extended period at a competitive price point. However, prospective guests should weigh the reported customer service and room condition issues against potential cost savings. The goal of an extended stay is often to provide a stable and predictable environment; therefore, any uncertainties regarding management interactions or room quality could negate the perceived value.
For local users searching within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category for extended stay options, WoodSpring Suites Harrisburg Linglestown, located at 6351 Chelton Ave, Harrisburg, PA 17112, USA, offers a lodging solution specifically designed for longer durations. While the concept of an extended stay hotel provides practical amenities for self-sufficiency and potential cost savings, the provided customer reviews raise significant points of consideration regarding guest experience. These include serious concerns about staff professionalism and communication, particularly from management, as well as observations about room cleanliness, comfort, and the lack of certain common amenities. Prospective guests are encouraged to consider these detailed customer experiences in conjunction with their own priorities for an extended stay, balancing factors such as budget, expected comfort levels, and the importance of consistent, positive customer service. Due diligence, perhaps by reviewing more recent feedback if available elsewhere, and direct communication with the hotel regarding specific needs, would be advisable before committing to a stay.

Mar 24, 2025 · Leonardo SplinterFirst impression, the room smelled like a cleaning agent trying to cover up bad odors. The room appeared clean but when going to bed the sheets appeared used and stained. The bed was uncomfortable and the blankets were thin. We were freezing all night. The pillows are super cheap and we woke up to the bright sun because although there are blinds, there are no curtains to block the light. There are absolutely no common amenities (coffee pot, hair dryer, ect) not a big deal for me but might be for most. The staff were very friendly at first, however, I had a very rude experience with the female manager. We only stayed for two nights and brought our dog. The night before check out I asked for a late check out (3pm). The guy was very nice and said no problem I'll make a note of it. So the day of check out, I receive a missed call and because I was in church did not answer. I call back and the woman said, you were supposed to check out and that she called the police. I said for why would you call the police and then advised that the guy at the front desk put a note in for a late check out. She then said well I don't see a note but everything is fine. She then said to return by 3pm. I get to the hotel, take my items and go to return the key. The guy from the night before was at the desk. I explained to him what happened and he couldn't seem to believe it. He said he did put a note and even told her the morning of. I honestly don't think that woman should ever work customer service. The other gentleman was very accommodating and kind. I am not super picky since I didn't stay there long but the rudeness and calling the police was over the top. Do not stay here....
Nov 25, 2024 · Devon HamiltonThe staff at this place are rude. They don’t clean the rooms which is somewhat okay since the rate is fairly reduced, but still odd to me! They expect you to haul off your own trash to the dumpster… are you kidding me? I have never in my life seen a hotel make you walk your own trash to a dumpster. The rooms are noisy. The halls and elevator stink. The friendliness of the staff stinks even more. The Manager (Ellen) is very short, curt, and condescending. They all need a lesson or two on professionalism. She had the nerve to knock on my door very rudely and tell me I owed money and was due to pay, and I told her I did not owe anything and was set to renew my reservation the following day. “she says oh , well let me check” She NEVER apologized or even called when she got back to the front desk to let me know I was correct. Just total unprofessional. I understand this place isn’t a Hilton or Marriott but geez have basic customer service which is warm and friendly interactions! I said that to say, don’t expect competent and professional workers here. They just look at you and act like they are doing you a favor. The one gentleman that works the front desk will literally stare at you and barely say anything if you need help. Doesn’t say thank you , doesn’t even say anything. Lol. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. Mattress has pee stains. They don’t have a mattress cover like most hotels. The linen is stained needs replaced. Pillows are disgusting and flat. Had to buy my own linen. Sorry but this place sucks.
Feb 13, 2025 · Joshua A. GrierDuring my recent stay at WoodSpring Suites Harrisburg Linglestown, I found several positive aspects but was unfortunately disappointed by a couple of significant issues. First, on the upside, the location is quite convenient, providing easy access to major highways and nearby attractions. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making the check-in process smooth and efficient. The room itself was spacious and equipped with the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, including a small kitchenette which was a bonus for those who prefer preparing their own meals. However, the experience was marred by the presence of roach's mold on the shower curtain and floor being really dirty snice we have kids that play with the toys we bring, and my children brand new socks were dirty just from walking on the floor on day 1, which significantly impacted the overall cleanliness and comfort of the room. These are issues that really need immediate attention, as they detract from an otherwise decent accommodation. It’s crucial for a hotel to maintain high standards of hygiene, and addressing these concerns would undoubtedly enhance the staying experience for future guests. One standout aspect of my visit was the exceptional service provided by Adam at front desk, a member of the hotel's staff. Adam went above and beyond in ensuring my stay was satisfactory. When I reported an issue I had, he promptly placed bug traps to address my concerns efficiently. Additionally, he provided me with a mop to clean the floor, ensuring that I had all the tools I needed to feel at ease in my space. Adam's proactive and attentive attitude reflects his dedication to guest satisfaction. His problem-solving skills and willingness to help in any way he can suggest that he would excel in a managerial position at the property. His genuine care for guests sets a high standard for service, contributing positively to the overall experience at the hotel. Another standout moment during our visit was our interaction with an exceptional employee, Jeesica. On the day of our checkout, my wife and kids were still resting and needed some extra time before leaving. Jeesica was incredibly understanding and accommodating to our situation. Her friendly demeanor and willingness to assist without hesitation made us feel valued as guests by letting us checkout little later which was really applicative. Her excellent customer service added a personal touch to our stay, ensuring that our departure was smooth and stress-free. It's rare to find such attentive and thoughtful service, and Jesssica's dedication truly enhanced our overall experience. Overall, WoodSpring Suites Harrisburg Linglestown has potential, The pricing is amazing, love the location and the overall style of the hotel making you feel like you have small apartment which I love, but the presence of roaches and mold are critical concerns that need to be addressed to ensure a more pleasant stay for all guests. With improvements in these areas, it could be an excellent choice for travelers seeking affordability and convenience. I Would definitely stay here again 100% I hope the next time I come back to see those two issues resolved
Jan 08, 2025 · Kennard Bryantroom had piss in the bed, and on the floor when we checked in. there was black mold in the bathroom. one of the other tenets fired a pistol into the wall next to my head and the staff never even checked on me or apologized etc. i scheduled the room to be cleaned several times and it never happened. then i was warned that having a pizza box could get me kicked out for "excessive trash"... the trash bin wasnt even half full. there was "fluids" of some sort in the hall and elevator every single day.
