I’ve stayed at a few different hotels before, but this one really stands out—and it’s all because of the staff and management. From the moment we checked in, we were treated with kindness, patience, and professionalism. You can tell the team genuinely cares about the guests and takes pride in keeping the place running smoothly. The front desk staff have gone out of their way more than once to help us with little things that made a big difference. Whether it was a room request, fresh towels, or just answering questions, they never made us feel like a burden. And I have to give special credit to the manager Natalie. You can feel the difference when leadership actually leads by example. The energy is calm, respectful, and welcoming. Problems get solved quickly, and guests are treated like people, not just room numbers. It’s not just a place to sleep—it’s a place that feels a little more human in a world that often forgets to be. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a comfortable, well-managed place to stay long-term or even just somewhere to get away for the weekend.

Jun 12, 2025 · Kelsey BavermanZERO STARS!. I stayed here for 1 week (Mon-Mon) and checked in to a room with left over take out in the refrigerator and several items left in the shower and kitchen. I checked out around 6:30 am on my check out day leaving nothing of mine behind and I even took out the trash. A day after my check out, I was billed an additional $147.40. I called yesterday to inquire about this and spoke to Jeff who said the extra charge was because I'd extended my stay from Monday to that Friday, they checked the room the Wednesday after my departure and my stuff was still there, and I left a note at the front saying I'd be back at 6pm. None of this is accurate. I never extended my stay and when I initially attempted to check in, I was told to return at 5 or 6pm and my room would be ready. Surely the note left in their system was from the day I checked in when THEY told ME to come back. Also, it would have cost far more than $147.40 to extend my stay by several days. I tried to explain this to Jeff. I hadn't spoken 2 words before Jeff unprofessionally said, "Be quiet and listen. I'm trying to help you but you keep talking over me." I kindly advised him I'd come in and have someone at the desk help me; to which he said, "Don't waste your time driving over here. I will tell you to your face the same thing I'm telling you over the phone." I asked if there was a manager I could speak with and he abrasively said, "I am the regional manager." Then he hung up. I contacted Choice Hotels customer relations. I was shaking with frustration when the representative, Juan answered my call. Juan listened patiently as I word vomited the details of my sitch. Juan then gave me a sincere apology and attempted to contact Woodspring Suites while I was on hold, to no avail. This isn't surprising; during my 7 day stay, the receptionists were rarely at the desk to answer the phones. Most often, they were found smoking right in front of this smoke free establishment. Juan handled the matter the best he could following his unsuccessful attempt at contacting Woodspring Suites and he opened a case on my behalf. Choice Hotels seems great, but do NOT stay at Woodspring Suites. If you do, here is the number for Choice Hotels customer relations (800-300-8800 opt. 4), you'll need it. Shame on Woodspring Suites. ZERO STARS!
Mar 21, 2025 · KrissyHonestly, one of the weirdest hotel experiences, in terms of getting your room. I booked via Expedia and I chose the pay later (pay at hotel check in) option. I get a phone call at 12:00pm (when the check in starts at 3pm), telling me my card was denied. So they asked me to come to the hotel RIGHT NOW (at 12:00pm) or else my booking would be canceled. I usually don’t answer numbers that aren’t in my contacts, but the voicemail that she left me caught my attention. Asking me weird questions like “why didn’t I pick up the first time?” The person also asked me a lot of small talk questions as well, trying to gauge who I am as a person. I like small talk but it was a mix of small talk and interrogation questions. The basis of these questions the lady asked me: I think all of these small questions they were asking were to gauge the type of guest that I am. I think they have all the different type of guests, and they ask various questions to check if you’re gonna be trouble or not. I’m just in town for the week, I’m not trying to move in. They made me sign a bunch of pages and documents like I am closing on a house. They kept on reiterating to me to NOT bring guests to my room. They kept on telling me I am the only person allowed to my room. I am there for work, I am not bringing guests to my room. Interesting clientele. I mean everybody was nice. Maybe some of the guests are down on their luck and live there. People don’t know how to park within the lines properly in this hotel. I couldn’t even access my driver door one of the nights I was staying here. You have to take out your own trash. No housekeeping. Room was nice. I enjoyed the room. Soundproofing to the hallway can be a bit better or need to install those things that prevent the noise of the door being slammed. Microwave didn’t work. I told them about it and they never sent anybody there to fix the microwave. Overall, I would never stay here again, but it was definitely an experience.
Apr 07, 2025 · Andrew AMetal spring frame to support a pull out style mattress and pillows. The floor was dirty as indicated when we turned the bathmat over after a shower. Many of the outlets did not work and I was expected to flip my own breaker to solve the problem, I figured it out. Additionally, the bathroom sink did not drain well. I asked for a refund for the second night and was told there were no refunds. The clerk was not at the desk when arrived at 4 and again when I came down an hour later to ask for a refund for the 2nd night. There is a no refund policy regardless of the situation. Having 35 years of hotel and travel industry experience. Please do not stay here.
Apr 09, 2025 · Robin PrattMy husband and I have spent several weeks at a time at the WoodSpring suites Phoenix- Deer valley. Our experience has been nothing but amazing. I need to give a shout out to Renee and Brandy. They are the absolute best! They care so much about the people staying there. Many people are in our boat where they have to live somewhere for an extended period of time and these two ladies make sure it’s a great experience. It’s in a good area close to shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel be it for one night or a month. Anytime we’re in the area we will be staying at this hotel!
