However, it is important for potential guests to consider feedback from previous visitors. While some found the rooms "a little dirty" and the property "seedy," they acknowledged that "you get what you pay for" and praised the "friendly staff" and their willingness to "help." Another review, despite being in a "recently 'renovated'" room that "wasn't awful but it wasn't very nice either," reported "no issues" and that it served well as "a place to sleep for the night." This suggests that while it may not offer luxury, it provides a functional and affordable option for a basic, extended stay, supported by a helpful staff.

Apr 22, 2025 · Jarred RoystonLots of people living full time here. Pretty seedy. Was probably really nice 35 years ago lol. Our room in particular was recently "renovated" so it wasn't awful but it wasn't very nice either. We had no issues though so I'm not gonna rag on it too hard. It was a place to sleep for the night.
Apr 11, 2025 · Andrew DChecks in for an extended stay of one week. We were told to go and check the rooms and then return to the front desk and check in. The room was disgusting. Absolute filth. The floor was so dirty and hadn't been vacuumed and months probably, the toilet didn't work properly and the entire room smelled of cat urine. Disgusting this place shouldn't even pass inspections for anything. Where are the health inspectors or whoever? Do not recommend anyone stay here.
Jan 15, 2025 · Nikki HensleyStay three nights with my wife three kids and two dogs. Lady charged us $375. But red roof wasn't available we were exhausted tired she had workers follow us around ..we had no hot water ...wifi kept going out .there no pool no dining haul nothing no free breakfast no maid no clean towels nothing .. beside worker following us ..we had several safety issues... One was how the homeless came out of the woods and helped themselves to any room .seen markers were they leave key cards for them... creepy ..and we had workers that literally walk in our room for no reason just thinking we weren't there ..without warning no knocking... Walk in ...cops wouldn't do anything..then we found out two young lady's disappeared from here just a few weeks ago ... We saw people doing drugs outside our room..and cops just drove by and didn't care...cops just turned their backs on our issues.. the room smelled only two blankets on the bed and no pillow and roaches... Smell weed outside ..after the one night of hell we left and paid for a more expensive hotel in Johnson City .. they never refund us either ..been two weeks .. no I ain't posting because of that I figured they wouldn't refund us...stay away from this shady hotel .. I am just surprised by an old guy with his dog a guy who can barely walk letting his dog poo everywhere he said he has been living here for three years wow just wow ..hotel not safe and Kingsport police don't do there job to serve and protect and hopefully they find them missing young lady's ... Look it up on Google search this place is no good
Mar 20, 2025 · Rebel WithoutCauseThe pictures online are all super old, when I visited there; the pool had been filled in with dirt so no pool. The room I saw was super dingy yellowed walls, smelled of cigarettes and Marijuana everywhere, there was mold on the walls and ceiling, the curtains looked moldy and in serious need of changing. I saw several guys carrying guns openly in the parking lot this place has gone seriously downhill since the pictures online were posted. Several people were living there due to homelessness... backing out of the parking lot I almost got hit by a speeding car flying to pick up a guy carrying a gun would not recommend to anyone to stay here unless it's this or be homeless... super sketchy place be careful here.
