This "motel" is NOT really a motel. It's a shelter. The people at the door were rude as hell. When my family & I approached, they blocked us at the door & said this is private property & wouldn't even let us stand inside to call a cab. They have horrible business practices & should be reviewed by whatever government entity that put them there!

Bellerose Inn Introduce

For individuals searching within the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform category, the Bellerose Inn, located at 249-5 Jericho Tpke, Queens, NY 11426, USA, presents itself as a lodging option primarily appealing to budget-conscious travelers. It's important for potential guests to approach this property with realistic expectations, as it operates as a motel-style establishment and has received varied feedback, particularly concerning its operational model and guest experience.

The environment of the Bellerose Inn is characterized by its location directly on Jericho Turnpike, a busy commercial road that stretches across Queens and Long Island. This positioning offers immediate access to various local amenities, which is a significant convenience for guests. Directly across the street, travelers will find readily accessible essentials such as a Dollar Tree, CVS, and 7/11, along with other nearby food establishments. This makes it easy for guests to procure necessities and grab quick meals without needing to travel far. However, the nature of a busy thoroughfare can also contribute to a less tranquil environment compared to hotels set back from main roads. The physical appearance of the hotel, particularly in terms of its exterior and hallways, has been described as somewhat outdated by some guests, reflecting its age and classification as a motor lodge. While some general wear and tear may be present, the convenience of the immediate surroundings for daily needs is a notable aspect of its environment.

Regarding services, the Bellerose Inn provides what might be considered fundamental for a budget-friendly motel. The staff interactions have been described as "ok and somewhat friendly," indicating a level of basic service, though not always exceeding expectations. Check-in and check-out procedures are likely straightforward, characteristic of a motel setup. While specific details on services like housekeeping frequency are not explicitly detailed, it's typical for such establishments to provide room cleaning. However, requests for additional items like blankets or irons have, in some instances, gone unfulfilled due to limited availability, suggesting that guests should not expect extensive supplementary services. The presence of a functioning ice machine is noted, which is a practical amenity. It is crucial for potential guests to be aware of a significant operational aspect mentioned in some reviews: the hotel has been described as potentially functioning as a shelter. This can lead to a different dynamic and guest experience compared to a purely transient hotel, including interactions with security or personnel at the entrance who might manage access in a way that differs from traditional hotel guest services. This aspect impacts the overall service delivery and atmosphere, requiring guests to manage their expectations accordingly.

The features of the rooms at the Bellerose Inn are generally described as functional and adequate for a basic stay, aligning with its price point. Guests have noted that while the rooms might be "kind of outdated," the online pictures accurately represent them. Key features include the ability for the room to stay cold, indicating functioning air conditioning or climate control. Essential amenities like a bed, a private bathroom, and basic furnishings are provided. The proximity to food outlets and retail stores is a de facto feature that significantly enhances guest convenience, especially for those without personal transportation. While not explicitly detailed, standard features such as a television would likely be present. Guests should not anticipate high-end or luxurious amenities, but rather a focus on providing a place to sleep and basic comfort. The "motor lodge" designation often implies direct access to rooms from outside, rather than through an interior corridor, which can be a feature for some travelers preferring quick in-and-out access, especially with luggage. Free parking is typically a standard inclusion for motor lodges, which would be a valuable feature in the New York metropolitan area.

From a promotional perspective, the Bellerose Inn's primary appeal lies in its affordability and location for specific events or basic needs. For instance, its "decent price for 4 days" during events like "Rolling Loud" highlights its utility as a budget-friendly option when demand drives up prices elsewhere. The clear value proposition is that "you obviously get what you pay for," suggesting that its lower cost is a key selling point. Promotional information would likely emphasize its strategic location on Jericho Turnpike, offering walking distance access to essential stores (Dollar Tree, CVS, 7/11) and nearby food options. While not directly connected to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) like some other properties in the area, it provides vehicular access to broader Queens and Long Island. For those who prioritize a low price point and convenient access to local amenities, the Bellerose Inn aims to fulfill a basic lodging need. Due to the varied nature of its operations as suggested by some reviews, any promotional material would likely focus on its functional aspects and cost-effectiveness rather than extensive luxury or comprehensive services. Potential guests are always advised to contact the hotel directly at (718) 343-4400 or +1 718-343-4400 for current rates, availability, and to clarify any concerns about its operational model or specific amenities offered. The emphasis for the Bellerose Inn is on providing an accessible and affordable base for travelers who are looking for a simple, no-frills stay in eastern Queens.

You obviously get what you pay for. The staff was ok and somewhat friendly. I booked this room last minute for Rolling Loud. It was a decent price for 4 days. Only a couple of things were wrong. I requested a blanket and never received one. I requested an iron and was told that they didn’t have any extra. The ice machine worked. Room stayed cold. Hotel is in waking distance to food nearby. Also a dollar tree, CVS and 7/11 literally across the street. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible stay. The room was kind of outdated, but those are the same pics online.

This motel is a disgrace you walk in and guarding the door is the military they have the national god as their security I don’t know what’s going on we’ve had more crime in this neighborhood since the hotel opened . The owner, Mr. Patel could kill us about this neighborhood. He destroyed an historic ice cream parlor, built a hotel, and filled it with low income housing and migrants that have valued the neighborhood he should rot in hell.

The first thing I am greeted with upon arriving is that the automatic sliding door didn’t work, you needed to slide it manually. No fridge or microwave in the rooms. The ice machine didn’t work, it just hums while nothing comes out. The AC doesn’t work, the fans just spin and it did not go to the set temperature. The toilets clog easy and the steam from the shower set off an alarm. Our rooms keys kept getting reset meaning we would have to walk back down stair to get new key cards. Getting nit picky, the curtains and carpets are drab and the walls are dirty. The pillows are lumpy but this is standard in most hotels. The WiFi works but it wasn’t fast. There is no free breakfast or gym but this is due to Covid. Finally, either I have great ears or the walls are thin because I could hear every smack and moan coming from the room 2 doors down. I guess that’s to be expected in a place like this. I would rate this hotel 0/5 stars but at least the receptionists were nice and responsive. Room service did a decent job cleaning.

Although the staff was very friendly and helpful that was the best part of the stay. The room was small, it was dusty, there was tape on the wall to hold the wall paper up, the bed skirt had a stain it was definitely not a nice room. Breakfast wasn't nice either. Only hot option was sausage and omlette. Other than that there was cereal and bagel. Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel.
