Gal at check in was an absolute delight.She alone made me want to come back. Although this hotel is a bit older, it is well kept. Their outdoor pool area is very nice for a relaxing afternoon after a day on the town. Plus it has grills if you want to barbecue. Rooms are very standard for a three star hotel. It's just fine.

Worst experience ever- the night we came to the dells everyone was excited. We reserve multiple rooms, Before heading to the hotel we called and told them we were going to be a late check in because we drove far and there were construction. They told us no problem there will be people at the front desk 24hr. We got there and check in, we had kids with us too. We were only there for 2hrs at the most and got kicked out. The kids were tired and was fuzzy and we were settling in. We finally found our room and made our way to get our stuff from the car. The kids were loud the first time they called because we were settling down. The first time we apologize and the kids went to sleep. About 30 min later the front desk called again and said we were loud and we need to get out now or they are going to call the cops. I walked down to speak to the front desk person but the manager and they were hiding in the back and speaking from there saying they walked up stairs and listen by the door and we were loud. If we were loud wouldn’t they knock on the door? Also the people Across from us were still up partying and karaoke as well. But we were targeted. We had to wake all our kids up and take them to the car and rush out of that hotel and drive back home at midnight . Super disappointed and unprofessional. We weren’t even rude at all. Will never reserve room here ever again. As a manager you need to be more competent and talk to your customer.

The staff at the Best Western Ambassador Hotel in Wisconsin Dells were the highlight of our stay—friendly, helpful, and responsive. Unfortunately, the hotel itself needs significant attention. While some updates like new carpet are noticeable, it’s not enough to make up for the overall condition. The bathroom was not clean when we arrived—floors were filthy, and I had to clean it myself before we could use it. The pull-out sofa mattress was stained and unpleasant, with no mattress pad provided. I ended up purchasing one just to make it usable. The worst part of our stay was the behavior of other guests. Almost every time I used an entrance other than the main lobby, people were smoking cigarettes or marijuana. The hallways often smelled of pot, and on two separate occasions, the smell even made its way into our room. We tried using the outdoor pool one morning around 10:30 AM and encountered groups drinking, vaping, and smoking both cigarettes and marijuana—right at the pool and nearby tables. The language used was foul and inappropriate for families. A hotel employee did stop by to enforce the no-smoking, no-drinking policy, but as soon as they left, the guests resumed what they were doing. We ended up leaving because the smell was unbearable. The location is also less than ideal—far from the main attractions of the Dells—and the price does not reflect the quality or experience. For the same cost, you can stay at much nicer hotels like the Hilton Garden Inn or Holiday Inn, which are in better locations and far better condition. The staff truly did their best, but the condition of the hotel and the behavior of other guests made for a disappointing stay.

This hotel is advertised as 100 percent smoke free. It is not ! There were people smoking throughout the hallway’s cigarette’s and pot our room reeked of cigarette smoke. My son and I have asthma and both became ill having to use asthma inhalers multiple times. We have been trying to reach out to the hotel for almost a week for a refund. They keep dodging our attempts to reach them. If I don’t hear back from this hotel to make this situation right I will contact the consumer protection agency as well as consider legal action! We rely on information being advertised properly for our health since this hotel can’t control and enforce its policy. It has the duty to display the correct information that it is a smoking facility! Instead of lying and scamming people into booking with them!

Laura is the absolute best! She really came through for our family after we had a horrible experience at another hotel and had to change hotels abruptly. The accommodations were great We also needed an accessible room they only cones the hoyer didn’t fit under the bed but the room size was great. The rooms we had were clean and it’s conveniently located but all the attractions. We will be coming back!
