We walked into our room and was hit with a smell of mold, cigarettes, and wet dog. If the fee wasn’t non refundable, I would have left. There are cobwebs on the curtains, no updated outlets, the lamp has dust and stains on it. How this place got any good reviews is beyond me. Do not recommend!!! Same price as other hotels. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!! When I open the window for fresh air, it’s interstate noise. Very noisy!

The Best Western Executive Inn Kenosha/Pleasant Prairie has a reputation that is a bit of a mixed bag, which is something a local guide should be upfront about. On one hand, many guests have had a very positive experience, praising the convenient location, comfortable beds, and a good selection at the complimentary breakfast. One customer, who stayed for a swim meet, noted that "The kids really enjoyed the pool" and that "The breakfast had a good selection of items." This kind of feedback highlights the hotel's appeal for families and those attending local events. The on-site bar, Rush Street Lounge, is also mentioned as a highlight, with planned nightly activities adding to the appeal for adults. On the other hand, some reviews have been less favorable. One customer described their room as having a "smell of mold, cigarettes, and wet dog" and noted a lack of modern amenities and cleanliness issues like "cobwebs on the curtains." These reviews suggest that while some guests find the hotel to be a great value, others may find it to be dated or in need of better maintenance. It's also worth noting that the hotel is located near an interstate, which can lead to noise, as mentioned in one review. This guide will present both sides of the coin to give you a realistic picture of what to expect. The hotel has 114 rooms and is a smoke-free property. Jul 31, 2025 · Laura EstleWe stayed in town for an open water swim meet that was held in Present Prairie. This location was very convenient for us. The kids really enjoyed the pool. The bar has activities planned nightly. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast had a good selection of items. We would stay again if we were traveling through the area.
Jun 26, 2025 · Matt GlentzerOur family couldn’t have been happier with our stay! The beds and pillows were super comfy. The hotel was quiet and VERY clean. Breakfast was great. The showers were hot. Very kid friendly. The pool and hot tub were nice. Plenty of restaurants, gas stations, and shopping near by. We will definitely be back!
Apr 14, 2025 · Toni BeardI had a house fire 2 months ago and have stayed at all the hotels in the area, best western has been the best so far. I’m usually in contact with Stephanie at the front desk and she’s nothing less than great- everyone has been really helpful and doesn’t treat me or my kids like a bother. Housekeeping is super nice and has even helped me bring my stuff downstairs. I have never had an issue with noise even when the parking lot is full. I’ve been staying here over a month now and my kids think it’s home away from home during this rough time, all the staff is super sweet to the kids.
May 02, 2025 · Alexandra LOverall, we had a good experience. It had everything you would expect from a Best Western. During our trip, this was the 1st out of 4 Best Western's we stayed at. They required a pool key in addition to your room key to swim which seemed odd but it also controlled that the people swimming were actually guest. The room was clean, the breakfast was okay, staff were friendly. The only thing we ran into was the smoking area was at the entrance and you had to walk through smoke to enter/exit the building.
