We booked an eight day stay here. We booked it out of there after five hours. We didn't find bed bugs, which was the highlight of our stay. The lobby looked as if it hadn't been remodeled since the place was built. The furniture looked as if it was all found on the side of the road. The bedding was so dirty and gross. Our "non-smoking" room smelled like a chain smoker once lived there. Speaking of living there, I had no idea I booked a room in an apartment complex. The block party started as soon as we arrived at five. We finally checked out when two guys had their own little get together outside our window. If you like horror movies, you'll like this place. I gave high marks for location, because we ended up staying in a nice place across the street.
For those of us in Wisconsin, especially when traveling, finding a suitable place to stay is a top priority. A crucial part of making a good travel decision is having access to all the available information, including the experiences of other guests. In this spirit, this article provides a factual and comprehensive overview of the Value Inn Kenosha I-94/Exit 344. We aim to present a clear picture based on publicly available data, including direct feedback from customers, to help you understand what this establishment offers. This approach allows for a well-informed decision, ensuring your expectations align with the reality of the lodging option.
The Value Inn Kenosha I-94/Exit 344 is an establishment located in the Kenosha area. Public reviews and feedback from guests provide a significant amount of detail regarding the overall experience. The comments indicate that the hotel's facilities have seen better days, with some guests describing the lobby as appearing to not have been remodeled in some time and the furniture as being in poor condition. One of the primary concerns noted by visitors is the cleanliness of the rooms. Specific mentions include dirty bedding, unclean microwaves, and unhygienic bathrooms. This feedback is a consistent theme in the reviews, which highlights a need for potential guests to consider these points seriously.
Another significant issue raised by customers is the general environment of the property. Guests have reported that rooms often smell like smoke, even when designated as non-smoking. The atmosphere is described as being more akin to an apartment complex than a traditional hotel, with "block party" behavior and loud gatherings outside of rooms. Some reviews mention feeling unsafe and refer to the place as a "dump." Guests have also reported visible signs of disrepair, such as broken windows and debris in the parking lot. These accounts from real customers are vital for anyone considering this hotel as a place to stay, as they paint a picture of an experience that may not be suitable for all travelers.
The Value Inn Kenosha I-94/Exit 344 is located at 7221 122 Ave, Kenosha, WI 53142, USA. Its location is a key point of discussion, with some guests giving it high marks. The "I-94/Exit 344" in its name indicates its convenient proximity to the interstate. This accessibility is a major benefit for travelers who are simply passing through Kenosha or need a quick stop off the highway. The location makes it easy to get to and from major roadways, which can save time on a long journey. However, it's worth noting that one reviewer gave the location "high marks" not because of the hotel itself, but because it allowed them to easily find a "nice place across the street" after they decided to leave. This feedback provides a unique perspective on the practicality of its address.
The hotel is situated in an area that allows for relatively straightforward access to other parts of Kenosha and the broader region. Being near a major interstate like I-94 is a practical advantage for business travelers, long-haul drivers, or anyone who needs to be mobile in the area. However, it is also important to consider the immediate surroundings as described by guests, which may not align with the expectations of all travelers seeking a peaceful stay. The ease of access to the interstate is the primary benefit of the location, offering a functional advantage despite the negative feedback regarding the hotel itself.
Based on the available public data and customer feedback, the services offered at the Value Inn Kenosha I-94/Exit 344 are difficult to assess in a positive light. While a traditional hotel would list services such as clean rooms, friendly staff, and amenities, the reviews for this establishment do not support such a description. Instead, the feedback highlights a lack of effective service and management. The services and amenities that are expected at a hotel appear to be subpar or non-functional.
Given the strong negative sentiment in multiple reviews, it is challenging to confidently list services that meet a satisfactory standard. The consensus from guests is that the establishment falls short of providing a typical hotel experience, with one guest stating it is "not a hotel" but a "place where people live." This indicates a fundamental issue with the type of service provided.
When considering the features and highlights of the Value Inn Kenosha I-94/Exit 344, it is crucial to rely on the provided guest feedback. The reviews present a stark contrast to the standard promotional content of a hotel.
These highlights, as presented by guests, serve as a warning rather than an enticement. They are factual accounts of the conditions and atmosphere of the establishment, and they are essential for anyone considering a reservation.

From a local perspective in Wisconsin, it is vital to provide an honest and factual account of this establishment. Based on the overwhelming consensus from multiple guest reviews, this place is not suitable for the average traveler, whether local or otherwise. The repeated mentions of dirty rooms, a run-down environment, and safety concerns should be a strong deterrent. The reviews warn that this is "not a hotel" and that potential guests should "book at your own risk." The most suitable recommendation for locals would be to seek out other lodging options in the area, such as the "nice place across the street" mentioned in a review. The location’s primary benefit is its proximity to I-94, which could be useful, but the negative aspects of the lodging itself appear to far outweigh this convenience. It is not an establishment that locals can confidently recommend to friends or family visiting the area.

Jul 21, 2025 · Lou Ann GramlichDO NOT even think about staying at this dump. Broken windows, awful smell, rooms the aren't clean, as in dirty microwaves and disgusting bathrooms. This is not a hotel. It is a place where people live. It is run down and disgusting. We left immediately and booked a room somewhere else. This place should not be listed on any booking site. Book at your own risk. You have been warned. Can't give zero stars.
Apr 26, 2025 · John MoraskaI got bit up by bed bugs. DO NOT USE THIS DISGUSTING PLACE. Typical owned by foreigners with no American values so they do nothing to take care of the place. Also the floor was flooding??
Jun 22, 2025 · Jeremiah BanasiakVery outdated, pictures online are not accurate, heat barely works…heat was off in room and was freezing. Door to room blasting in cold air. Toilets and bathroom disgusting. Tv remote had no back, microwave absolutely disgusting. Blankets on beds terrible all around terrible place never again
Feb 11, 2025 · Matthew JaneczkoStayed here out of necessity on a father son road trip in 2022. Being that I was on a tight budget and losing $140 earlier in the week by another hotel we didn't even stay at, this was our only option. Let me just say that this place sticks out like a sore thumb! I'll just say it, this place was a dump! It is so incredibly outdated and in need of soooo much work! They should just take a wrecking ball to it. The hotel looks like its from the 80's and does not come close to its other competition just across the street. Understandably, I'm not expecting a 5 star luxury hotel but they should meet minimum requirements. It felt like you entered the "bad part of town" when you drove in. I ended up paying $128 for a double bed room(weekend rate) and they could not get my credit card to work. That hassle took 45 arduous minutes and it was 90 degrees outside. AC was on but behind the enclosed counter! I had to stand there and roast to death. When we finally got our room, it was not very nice. I found dirt everywhere, mouse droppings, damaged walls, doors and floor boards. I checked the mattresses for bed bugs. Luckily, none to be found but there was trash between the mattress and box spring including a chip bag, used Kleenex, hair balls, empty beer cans under the bed and a dirty sock! Gross! The bathroom was appalling! Shower and tub were filthy and stained. Toilet was clean but very old and stained. Bathroom door had a hole like someone threw a bottle at it. The pictures I see online are nothing like what I saw. It's possible they had a remodel since then! (God, I hope they did!) We couldn't shower because of the bathroom. Just brushed our teeth in the sink and used a washcloth for a wipe down of our bodies. We kept our socks on any time we moved around in the room. The room and hotel felt unsafe. I'm an officer by day and a pretty good judge of shady people. There seemed to be a few of those types hanging around a parked van down a ways from our room. I saw them drinking and going in and out of multiple rooms so, I brought it to the attention of the manager. He told me they were "maintenance guys" and was not concerned. I told him they were drinking beer and going in and out of multiple rooms. He just said, "yeah, those are the rooms they're working in." Wow! I couldn't believe it! I felt totally dismissed but mostly, I didn't feel safe. My sidearm is always with me and that night, I slept with it on my pillow. I know hotels are popular places for "campers" looking to take advantage of visitors. Thankfully, we had no issues with them or anyone else. The day previous, the ice machine wasn't working. The manager said it would be fixed that evening. In the morning checking out, surprisingly it was. He was kind enough to allow me to fill my cooler with ice before we got back on the road. I'll say this, if the hotel was in fact remodeled, it looks decent now but the whole vibe of the place seems very off. When we stayed in 2022, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Now...it's your call!
