Dear [Hotel Manager’s Name], I wanted to take a moment — mostly because I’ve been awake since 7 AM due to your avant-garde window treatment choices — to share some feedback on my recent stay. When I checked in at 2 AM, I was under the wild assumption that your hotel room included one of the standard features most travelers seek: sleep. Unfortunately, the room lacked proper curtains — you know, those magical fabric things that block out the blinding lights of the pool that shined directly into my room all night like an airport runway beacon. Blinds are cute, but they don’t stop industrial-strength floodlights from turning my bed into a 24-hour tanning booth. The result? 5 hours of tossing, turning, and developing a personal relationship with every shadow pattern on the wall. I paid for a hotel room. What I received was a bright, sleepless performance art piece titled: “Circadian Rhythm: The Revenge.” For future guests — and quite honestly, for the reputation of your hotel — I highly suggest investing in actual blackout curtains. They’re not expensive, but they do perform miracles. Sleep is, after all, kind of the whole point of booking a hotel. Looking forward to your response, ideally accompanied by either a refund, a room credit

Best Western hotels, including the Best Western Gold Canyon Inn & Suites, often participate in various promotions and special offers to attract guests and reward loyalty. While specific deals can change, it's always advisable to check their official website or contact the hotel directly for the most current information. Common promotions you might find include:
Due to the serious concerns raised in recent reviews regarding pest control and customer service, it would be prudent for potential guests to inquire directly about the hotel's current pest management protocols and how they address guest issues before booking, especially if a good night's sleep and a bug-free environment are high priorities.
If you're considering a stay at the Best Western Gold Canyon Inn & Suites, or have questions about their facilities and services, here’s how you can get in touch with their team:
Direct contact with the hotel is always recommended to get the most up-to-date information, confirm amenities, and discuss any specific concerns you might have prior to your visit. Its location offers a refreshing change of pace from the city bustle, and amenities like complimentary breakfast and a pool add convenience.
However, recent critical reviews, particularly concerning bed bugs and inadequate window treatments, raise significant concerns that locals should seriously consider. While the idea of a serene desert escape is appealing, the fundamental expectations of cleanliness and a good night's sleep appear to have been compromised for some guests. If these issues have been addressed and improved, the hotel's location and general amenities could make it suitable for a relaxing Arizona getaway. But for now, any local considering this option should exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence, perhaps by checking very recent reviews or speaking directly with the hotel management about their pest control and guest comfort policies, to ensure their stay in Gold Canyon is truly a pleasant one.

Jun 01, 2025 · Maria MBed Bugs!!!!! Update: They never did anything to remedy the situation! If you go here, get bed Bugs from them, you then get criticized for reporting bad behavior. Absolutely Horrible! I talked to the manager and she tried to say that I exaggerated about how many bed bugs there were and she wanted to assure me that there were no nesting areas and no congregations. She didn't even get there until Monday, how dare you tell me that I am wrong here! I have two full videos that are 5 minutes long showing all of the babies and all of the mothers, if you would like to we can count them, I bet there's even more than what I said. We got a deluxe premium room with a jetted tub so that we could splurge for the vacation. Got in and settled, my mom laid down to get an hour of rest while the kids, family and I swam in the pool. Afterwards, I brought the children home to San Tan Valley, then came back, I was very tired and got to the bed and pulled the sheets back only to find something moving. Upon further inspection, there were several things moving, at this point I immediately woke mom up and told her to get up and get off the bed!!!! I then pull the sheets back and find 100's of baby and adult bed bugs. I saw visibly, about 50 that were where mom was laying. After notifying the front desk, we were put into quarantine until everything we had was thrown in a dryer that had been in that room. Mom had to wash her hair over and over. They gave us another room, directly next to the room we just had. At this point, I am itching and scratching everything because I feel like something is on me all the time. I could not go back to sleep, I got horrible sleep the next day. I was at the salt River with family and somebody mentioned the horrific story and I immediately started itching and scratching everywhere. Was not offered anything for this happening. The lady at the front desk, said, there was an exterminator here recently and should have got that. They did not, now we have to suffer mentally, wondering if they are going to show up at my house of five children and dogs, wondering if they are on me all day long and actually thinking I'm getting bit! Couldn't have offered a comp or something? I mean, what kind of world do we live in? When a company treats you bad, I guess it's no longer in the best interest or policy to make sure that their customers are taken care of 100%. They did not even check on us again and when talking to the manager the next morning by Mom, she came back and said all they had to say was, sorry hopefully we got all of them! Completely unacceptable in my eyes. I understand, sometimes these things happen, but this is why we have protocols in place for proper pest control. Obviously we were a victim of bad pest control. This is not our fault
Jun 14, 2025 · Miles StoneWe are on vacation for 10 days and hopping hotels. This one was by far our favorite! Super clean and friendly staff. Breakfast is amazing. Carla, at the front desk went above and beyond in assisting anything we needed. We loved the swimming area and our room was very comfortable. Will miss it here and would definitely come again. 10/10!!!
Apr 23, 2025 · Angela FullerVery clean rooms we like it so far. Just did not get water in room. It has a nice small bar with some food attached and we found it very pleasant. Would return to this location if ever we come back.
May 12, 2025 · John FreedWhat an amazing stay!! Staff here were so friendly and always available to help, answer questions, and give ideas of what there was to do! Carla was so kind and helpful. The pool was clean and refreshing! The beds were the most comfortable I’ve slept on in a hotel! I’m here on vacation but will definitely be back to this Best Western Gold Canyon!!
