Mar 27, 2025 Β· fonerulesI stayed here for two nights last weekend and was very disappointed. We were booked into a room that the hotel was unaware had a non-functioning toilet when we arrived, and at no point during our stay was it repaired to a point that we could flush it, nor were we offered to move to a different room or to be refunded any portion of our bill. Maintenance was very kind, attentive and earnest, but to little avail. We spent the weekend holding it in and listening to the slosh of aggressive plunging all afternoon while we dressed for the wedding we were in town to attend. Beyond that problem, I was surprised by the quality of the room for the price. All of the lights were harsh fluorescents, including the bedside reading lights which were the only lamps. The phone was not hooked up. The clocks were all set several hours off. There were lightbulbs out in the bathroom and the toiletries provided were the same very cheap brand I get in two star hotels. The water pressure in the shower was poor. The coffee machine and creamer were the cheapest possible; the cups were paper and plastic. We paid $400 for this two night stay. The grounds are beautiful but the comfort and amenities in a room are much better and more reliable at a chain hotel.
Mar 27, 2025 Β· Nora DonovanGreat place. Played Sidewinder course, challenging but fun. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Grounds are well kept. Pool was nice but needed more attention towards the end of the day as the pool deck was not kept up with lots of discarded towels and garbage on the deck, and loud music always playing, which doesn't make for a relaxing poolside experience. Food was good with very friendly servers. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Apr 27, 2025 Β· Laura NelsenHad Sunday breakfast here the last three weeks. Tried different items fr om the menu each visit and all of them were well prepared and pleasing. We dined on their outside patio each time. Their outside dining is available sheltered or open unsheltered. Very pleasant location and staff.
Apr 03, 2025 Β· Fred MillerPlayed golf only today. Barely a greeting from the Pro Shop, the man seemed annoyed. (wrong business to be in) No scorecard on the cart so people I played with got me one, said standards have been slipping here. They control cart keys like they are gold ( gold canyon aptly named) We teed off later than our scheduled time. Enjoyed the first 5 holes then it was basically 2 foursomes on each tee for the rest of the day! People I was paired with left after 9. No Marshall or Ranger to be found for the entire day. I joined a threesome and was still painfully slow. Views were great- course overrated for the price and pace of play was ridiculous. Don't know if I'll be back. You have one chance to make a first impression....
