Jun 29, 2025 · Nate “Doggie” LDefinitely don't recommend this hotel and will never stay here again! Husband and I stayed here for one night in July of this year 2025. We live in Appleton, WI but our flight to Hawaii was leaving super early in the morning so we stayed one night near the airport so we didn't have to get up as early to drive. Things were okay until the morning when we got up and I was putting away my clothes and a roach fell out of my shirt. I hate any kind of bug especially roaches, have huge anxiety... thankfully my hubby got the bug for me but ya definitely didn't need any caffeine to wake up after that. Hubby let the front desk know as we checked out and lady just shrugged it off as if it was nothing and normal. Ewwww!
Jul 27, 2025 · Carolyn MI’m a faithful Best Western customer, this hotel disappointed me. It was clean but older. The floors going into the breakfast area were sticky but they looked like they had been recently washed, maybe it was the cleaning solution that made it sticky. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were friendly. My impression of the hotel is probably affected by our experience checking in. 2 women were fighting in the lobby and the front desk personnel seemed to be in over their heads. A security officer came in and de-escalated the situation but it left me wondering what kind of place I was staying at. Apparently the women were strangers and one was mad about the other ladies dog for some reason. The dog was SUPER friendly and lazy so I’m not sure what the problem was. Our room was clean but there were no extra pillows or blankets and only 2 on each bed. It just wasn’t the space I have come to expect from Best Westerns.
Jun 18, 2025 · Aj ShallowThe hotel is certainly run down. Stayed 3 nights in a room that smelled of marijuana every day. Complained about it every day. Told to open the window...couldn't no screens. Tried an ozone machine and oops didn't work. Had air on for 4 days and by the time we left our clothes were really damp as were the beds. Carpet is buckling, floors are slick, outside door didn't lock unless pulled shut, mold on the windows in the pool area, etc. Not a nice place to stay. Needs a major renovation and a serious inspection.
Jul 18, 2025 · Diane LovaasThis hotel is a weird nexus of great price, good rooms, and strange customer drama. Let me start by saying that Raven was amazing. Great front desk lady. I arrived early and had to wait for my room. No problem. That's on me. But five people at the front desk with no activity seemed weird. The place has a pool and is filled with families… I assume locals… who swim all day in that giant pool. Not an airport hotel I've ever stayed at, but it was nice. The entire place smelled of chlorine from the pool and pot from the… well… pot. At around 7pm, I went to buy some snacks at the front desk. Really cheap snacks. Bravo. And there was all this drama, which Raven handled well, all by herself. Apparently someone locked themselves out of their room and wanted a new room. I couldn't figure it out. I left and paid for my snacks later. Morning breakfast was a disaster. Do not recommend.
