Rates jacked up for Fort Ticonderoga 250th Anniversary. Two days with no hot water. $50 discount wasn't enough to make up for it. Blah free breakfast. Their restaurant was closed the night we had planned to eat there. No notice was evident, if there ever was any. No one came in to even empty the trash at the very least. We will never recommend this motel. Definitely not even close to the 8.6 review on Expedia.

The environment of the Best Western Plus Ticonderoga Inn & Suites is typical of a contemporary chain hotel, designed for convenience and accessibility. Its location on Burgoyne Road places it within close proximity to key local attractions, most notably Fort Ticonderoga, which is a significant draw for visitors to the area. This makes it a practical choice for tourists whose primary purpose is to visit the historic site or explore the surrounding Lake Champlain and Adirondack regions. The exterior and common areas generally present a standard, modern appearance consistent with the Best Western Plus brand. While the reviews provided focus on internal service aspects rather than the external environment, the hotel's placement within Ticonderoga ensures relative ease of access to local amenities and transportation routes. The overall environment aims to be straightforward and functional for travelers seeking a reliable place to stay.

The Best Western Plus Ticonderoga Inn & Suites offers a range of services and features that are standard for a hotel in its category, designed to provide a comfortable if basic, stay. Key services and features include:

  • Onsite Restaurant: The hotel features an onsite restaurant, which can be a significant convenience for guests who prefer not to travel out for meals. However, it is important to note that recent guest experiences indicate inconsistencies in its operating hours, with instances of it being unexpectedly closed.
  • Complimentary Breakfast: A "free breakfast" buffet is provided, a common amenity in Best Western properties. While one review describes it as "okay" or "blah," it offers a convenient option for guests to start their day without an additional cost.
  • Guest Rooms: The rooms are described as "clean." While one guest experienced issues with hot water and towel availability, another confirmed that hot water was present during their stay. The hotel aims to provide basic comforts for guests.
  • Housekeeping Services: While the expectation is for daily housekeeping, one review noted that "No one came in to even empty the trash at the very least," suggesting potential inconsistencies in service delivery.
  • In-room Amenities: While not explicitly detailed, standard Best Western Plus rooms typically include amenities like a television, private bathroom, and climate control to ensure a comfortable stay.
  • Potential for Amenities Beyond Basic: The "Plus" in "Best Western Plus" often indicates additional amenities beyond a standard Best Western, which can include features like a fitness center, indoor pool, or business center. However, the provided reviews do not confirm the presence or condition of such facilities at this specific location.

The features of the Best Western Plus Ticonderoga Inn & Suites, based on the provided reviews, indicate a practical lodging option for visitors to Ticonderoga. Its primary appeal lies in its brand recognition and its location, which is advantageous for those planning to visit Fort Ticonderoga and explore the surrounding historical and natural attractions. The convenience of having an onsite restaurant, even with noted inconsistencies, is a valued feature for guests seeking dining options within the hotel. The complimentary breakfast, despite varied opinions on its quality, provides a cost-effective and easy start to the day. The hotel's ability to provide clean accommodations is a fundamental expectation that appears to be generally met. However, it is also clear that guests have experienced service inconsistencies, such as the lack of hot water or unexpected restaurant closures, which can impact the overall satisfaction. The hotel's basic nature suggests it is a straightforward choice for travelers prioritizing location and a known brand, rather than a luxury or extensive amenities experience. It serves as a pragmatic base for exploration, particularly for those focusing on the area's historical significance.

Regarding promotional information, specific details about ongoing offers are not provided in the reviews. However, Best Western Plus properties typically engage in various promotional strategies that local users searching on "Hotels Near Of Me" might encounter. These can include:

  • Best Western Rewards Programs: Guests can earn and redeem points for stays, often including exclusive member rates or benefits.
  • Seasonal Discounts: Hotels in tourist-heavy areas like Ticonderoga often offer special rates during off-peak seasons or for specific events. The mention of "Rates jacked up for Fort Ticonderoga 250th Anniversary" indicates that pricing is dynamically adjusted for local events, suggesting that lower rates might be available during less busy periods.
  • Advance Purchase Rates: Discounts for booking a certain number of days or weeks in advance.
  • Package Deals: Combinations of room nights with local attractions, though specific partnerships are not mentioned in the provided information. Given its proximity to Fort Ticonderoga, such packages would be a logical offering.
  • AAA/AARP/Military Discounts: Standard discounts offered by many hotel chains for specific affiliations.
  • Weekend or Extended Stay Promotions: Reduced rates for multi-night stays or weekend getaways.

To ascertain the most current and accurate promotional information, it is strongly recommended that prospective guests contact the Best Western Plus Ticonderoga Inn & Suites directly via their phone number, (518) 585-2378, or visit the official Best Western website. Very basic hotel. Picked as it had a restaurant onsite & we wouldn't need to travel out. It wasn't open the night we were there & most restaurants were closed that day, Monday. 4 people in party & only 3 towels. Onsite breakfast buffet was okay. It was clean & had hot water.

Prices are outrageous, they charge this because they can. Kind of highway robbery honestly. I stayed here once then came back the next week and the price was more just a week later! NYC prices out here in the middle of nowhere, not a fan… I don’t like these tactics, the hotel is dated for the price and wifi cut in and out both of my stays and I have no service out here otherwise so that’s a bummer. Location is good and they have a restaurant inside which is about the only place to eat in town besides the crappy pizza shop but be prepared to empty your wallet for mediocre food. Sorry but I’d give a better review if they didn’t charge so much, it’s almost criminal

Everything about my stay was perfect. All of the people were so pleasant and the representative at the front desk gave me excellent directions to where I wanted to go. Everything was so clean. Comfy bed. Spacious room - not cluttered so lots of room on tables and bathroom counter for my clutter. Great shower. Everything worked! Convenient location to everything.

They definitely have you by the balls being there are not a lot of places available in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful, but for $300+ a night you expect the shower to not flood or spill onto the floor, the key cards to stay alive for more than an hour, and the complimentary breakfast to be there. They ran out of food. They had enough for some of us but not all, leaving us to decide if we go out somewhere else while half way there versus a restaurant.
