This was the absolute worst resort I have ever stayed at. I stayed in 2021 and I am still upset by the service I received. I’m leaving this review so late because I just figured out the name of this resort. DON’T stay here. These are my reasons: 1. We had dead mice behind our dressers and mini fridge. They snuck into our drawers and ate our food. There were at least 5 in total between two rooms. 2. The rooms are littered with bugs. It is absolutely filthy. I woke up with at least 30 new bumps on my arms and legs. The lanterns outside of the rooms attract bugs like there’s no tomorrow, so there are bugs both dead and alive that stick to the blinds and door. 3. The sheets have brown stains on them. I couldn’t sleep directly on top of them because they were so nasty. 4. The beds are rickety and stiff. 5. The one dresser in the room had 2/4 drawers that would open halfway. The others wouldn’t budge. 6. The closet we got had a mix of plastic Walmart hangers (the kind you get when you purchase clothing, not a set of them) that were all sorts of different colors, it was very cheap. 7. The boat dock is basically in ruins. 8. The signal is awful. 9. The water is very shallow when you get closer to the dock, so our boat got stuck on the rocks. 10. The girls that do laundry and take trash are very rude. They have no sense of customer service. 11. The showers were stained and disgusting, I didn’t feel clean after I got out. 12. There’s no air conditioning and the rooms are ridiculously muggy. 13. THE ONLY GOOD THING about this resort is the broccoli and cheese soup. It was excellent.

Northern Lake George Resort Introduce

For local users exploring options through platforms like "Hotels Near Of Me," Northern Lake George Resort is located at 8074 Lake Shore Dr, Silver Bay, NY 12874, USA. For inquiries, the resort can be reached by phone at (518) 543-6528 or via mobile at +1 518-543-6528. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the resort based on available public information, including recent guest feedback.

The environment of Northern Lake George Resort is situated on Lake Shore Drive, offering a lakeside setting in Silver Bay, New York. While the location by Lake George inherently offers natural beauty, the condition of the resort's facilities, as described by guests, significantly impacts the overall environmental experience. Reviewers have noted issues with the boat dock, which is described as being "basically in ruins" and "falling apart." Furthermore, the water near the dock is reportedly "very shallow," causing boats to get "stuck on the rocks." These observations suggest challenges with lake access and the maintenance of lakeside amenities, which are critical for a resort in this type of location.

The services and features at Northern Lake George Resort, as perceived by recent guests, appear to fall short of expected standards. A critical point highlighted by multiple reviewers is the lack of visible or accessible management. One guest explicitly stated that "management was absolutely nowhere to be found" upon arrival, and that their pre-paid deposit and room booking had no record. This indicates significant issues with guest reception and reservation management. Furthermore, the overall condition of the amenities is described as "outdated or broken."

Regarding accommodation features, guests have reported numerous concerns. Rooms are characterized as "filthy" and "littered with bugs," with one guest waking up with "at least 30 new bumps." The presence of "dead mice behind our dressers and mini fridge," which reportedly snuck into drawers and consumed food, points to severe pest control issues. Cleanliness extends to linens, with reports of "brown stains" on sheets, making them unappealing for direct use. Bathrooms are described as having "stained and disgusting" showers, impacting the sense of hygiene. The beds are reported as "rickety and stiff," affecting comfort. Practical room features like dressers also reportedly malfunction, with only a fraction of drawers opening properly. Even basic items like hangers are noted to be "very cheap" and a mix of disposable types, suggesting a lack of investment in guest room essentials. Furthermore, a significant comfort issue is the absence of air conditioning, with rooms described as "ridiculously muggy."

Connectivity is also an area of concern, as guest reviews indicate that "the signal is awful," which could impact communication and access to online services for visitors. Staff interactions, particularly with those doing laundry and taking trash, have been described as "very rude" and lacking "sense of customer service," further detracting from the guest experience. One guest even reported concerns about an employee appearing to be "on some type of hard drug," which, if true, raises significant issues regarding staff conduct and safety.

Despite numerous criticisms, one specific positive comment was made regarding the food. A reviewer noted that "THE ONLY GOOD THING about this resort is the broccoli and cheese soup. It was excellent." This singular positive highlights a stark contrast to the overall negative feedback received about other aspects of the resort.

Promotional information regarding Northern Lake George Resort is not available within the provided reviews, and the overwhelmingly negative feedback from recent customers makes it difficult to objectively present any positive promotional aspects based solely on this information. Guests have strongly advised against staying at the resort in its current state, with one reviewer concluding, "Do not recommend staying here until improvements are made," and another simply stating, "DON'T stay here." The sentiment conveyed is that the resort, despite its potential due to its location, is currently a "dump" due to significant maintenance issues, poor cleanliness, inadequate amenities, and unsatisfactory service. The resort's phone numbers are (518) 543-6528 and +1 518-543-6528, which guests can use for direct contact, but based on the provided reviews, potential visitors should proceed with extreme caution and manage their expectations if considering a stay at Northern Lake George Resort.

Where do I start. When we arrived management was absolutely no where to be found. We booked in February and put down a deposit and didn’t hear back until we arrived. Upon arrival management had no record of our deposit or what room we were staying in. We were supposed to stay in a Villa the first night but ended up basically staying in a locker room that was hotter than the Sahara desert. One specific employee seemed to be on some type of hard drug. A lot of the amenities were outdated or broken. Docks are falling apart. This place has so much potential to be an amazing place. Right now this is a dump. I do not recommend staying here until improvements are made.

Our stay at Northern Lake George Resort was wonderful. We were there for a fall romantic getaway. The cabins are townhouse style and have spectacular views of Lake George because all of them are right on the lake. There are complimentary kayaks and we had such a fun time kayaking on the lake. There are amazing hiking trails nearby too. Good restaurants nearby as well. The host David was very friendly. Stargazing at night is a must! You can see the milkyway in the front yard of the resort.

Last minute room availability was appreciated but upon arrival, became clear as to why... Straight out of Scooby Doo this resort could provide an adventure for you? The rooms in the lodge were very outdated and the bathroom smelled very strong of cleaning products. The porch view of the lake was nice but was the only access to fresh air in the room as the only window in the bathroom was sealed shut. Also it is bring your own towels currently because of covid 🤷 We were promised a king size bed but it was just two twin beds pushed together on the same platform. We tried to be optimistic and enjoy beautiful Lake George but the kayaks and canoes offered did not have life jackets and they were no where to be found. The benches by the water front were a thoughtful touch but, some were broken. For $140 a night we could have stayed somewhere a lot nicer and a little less like something out of a cartoon mystery. Jinkies thanks for the free breakfast.

Taking a spontaneous trip here was one of the best decisions my boyfriend and I have ever made! We absolutely loved everything about staying in the adorable cabin at the resort. From the relaxing fireplace and beautiful loft, to the accommodating service-it was absolutely perfect. Not to mention getting out on the water and looking up at the breathtaking view. We cant can't wait to come back!
