Our vacation cabin was fabulous. We were in a pet friendly cabin. It was very clean. Fresh bathroom towels daily. The bathroom ceiling light has an awesome heater, which was fantastic because Denise is usually cold. Our pontoon boat was ready to go. Bob, his daughter Christina and Jermaine, our boat staff was fabulous. The staff went out of their way for us. Definitely a 10/10. Mike, Denise & Josie
Sep 14, 2024 · Michael KandratavichWe just returned from a 5 night stay at the contessa. This is our 2nd time staying here, both years we stayed in room 15 since it is a pet friendly room. Christina at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We had our boat and I didn’t follow up until day before to remind them, but they were able to accommodate us for the week with no issues. The staff are wonderful as well. We will be returning again next year. Can’t say enough about the views and my son and his fiancé would take our pup for a walk to town everyday. Great location away from busy Lake George but Bolton Landing has everything you can possible need!
Aug 10, 2024 · Katie SandersLocation was just passed Bolton Landing on a very steep hill. Not good if you're an older person. The owner is a very nice man. The receptionist at the counter seemed very short tempered. The cable box in my cabin never worked very long and then didn't work at all. Probably never going back. We left 2 days early.
Jul 24, 2024 · John CalascioneTwo of our staff members stayed here in May 2024 for a conference at Fort Ticonderoga. Captain Bob refuses to give us an itemized bill, he charged us more than the confirmation said for both rooms, also we are tax exempt and he ignored our tax exempt forms that were submitted. I have emailed and called several times and the last time, Captain Bob hung up on me! I have been nothing but polite with this man and he continues to give poor customer service. Our staff members have been told that they are not allowed to book here anymore which they responded that the place was a dump and they wouldn't want to. Avoid this place if possible.
Jun 19, 2024 · Mary WhiteI was skeptical about staying here because of the bad reviews. well, this place is definitely over priced. the rooms was for the most part clean, spiderwebs and dust on the windows but smelled clean. the shower dribbled out water but had good temperature captain bob seemed nice enough, but dont piss him off. we rented a boat from their marina and 2 of the deck mates(?) apparently had no idea that we werent allowed to bring or dogs on the boat. THERE IS NO SIGNAGE IN THE OFFICE or ON THE DECK and THERE IS NOTHING ON THE PAPERWORK saying you can not bring a dog on the boat. when we returned captains bob daughter went ballistic on her boyfriend for allowing us to have our dogs on the boat ( that should have been done in private). when we went to fill our boat up at the narwal marina, the boat started leaking gas in the line. the girl told us that the marina has tried telling captain bob and his motel that the boat is leaking gas. they have yet to fix it. i made the girl write me a note saying there was a leak in the line and that it wasnt our fault. the woman at the front desk of the motel said "well why would they tell you and not us that." [retty much saying we were lying. there is no place to swim at the resort although they do have a very very tiny "beach". its close enough to bolton landing town but there are plenty of other places to stay. if captain bob just updated the property, added firepits etc, it would be worth the money.
