Let’s start with the place is an old apartment looking motel . Only cash accepted more than obvious they are still operating in the last century. The location is out in the woods of washington . I had a very unpleasant visit and surely didn’t stay . The person at the window was more concerned to know who my boyfriend was since he was sitting in the car . Asked me for his identification and rudely asked for him to come in and see him. I told him why if I was the one paying and he proceeded to tell me if he didn’t come in for me to rent elsewhere . I felt profiled since I’m Spanish and my boyfriend is black not to mention the attendant seen from India or somewhere similar. Have better customer service so u won’t wonder why ur business is struggling to stay afloat. That’s why I stick to real hotels … and Ofcourse I rented a nice room in a nearby town .
For those seeking accommodation in the Washington, New Jersey area and exploring options within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, the Broadway Motel located at 2300-2306, 2300 NJ-57, Washington, NJ 07882, USA, presents itself as a budget-conscious lodging choice. As a motel, its primary focus is on providing straightforward, accessible rooms for travelers, often at a lower price point compared to larger hotel chains. It caters to individuals or groups who prioritize affordability and a convenient location over extensive amenities or luxury services. However, prospective guests should be aware of specific operational practices and past guest experiences that highlight notable concerns.
The Broadway Motel appears to be an older establishment, with some guests describing it as "an old apartment looking motel." Motels typically offer ground-level access to rooms directly from parking areas, providing a practical setup for those with vehicles. Its location on a state highway, NJ-57, suggests it is positioned for ease of access for vehicular traffic, making it a potential stopover for road travelers or those with their own transportation exploring the Washington Township and wider Warren County area. Unlike modern, amenity-rich hotels, the Broadway Motel likely focuses on providing fundamental lodging services, emphasizing a place to sleep and refresh. Information regarding its history or specific ownership structure beyond general customer interactions is not widely available, but the nature of the reviews suggests it may be an independently operated business with established, perhaps traditional, operating procedures.
The Broadway Motel is situated along NJ-57 in Washington, New Jersey. This location implies a roadside setting, which can typically be utilitarian in nature, focusing on accessibility for drivers. One review describes the location as "out in the woods of Washington," suggesting a more secluded or rural setting rather than a bustling town center. This could appeal to guests who prefer a quieter environment away from urban noise. As a motel, the property likely consists of a series of rooms with direct external access, often arranged around a central parking lot. The overall appearance, as per one review, may resemble an "old apartment looking motel," indicating an older architectural style and potentially a focus on functionality over modern aesthetic design. The immediate surroundings would likely include other commercial establishments common along a highway, such as gas stations or other small businesses. The tranquility of the "woods" setting might offer a peaceful atmosphere for resting, but guests should not anticipate extensive on-site recreational facilities or meticulously landscaped grounds. The environment is geared towards providing a basic, practical stop for travelers, blending into the less densely populated areas typical of parts of Washington Township. It's important to note that the environment, particularly regarding guest perception, can also be influenced by the interactions and atmosphere created by staff and other guests, which, as per some reviews, have raised concerns about feeling unsafe or profiled, impacting the overall perceived environment of the stay.
The services offered at Broadway Motel appear to be very basic, with certain operational policies that are crucial for prospective guests to understand. A key point highlighted in customer reviews is that the motel accepts only cash payments. This is a significant deviation from standard hotel practices in the current era and indicates a traditional, perhaps dated, operational model. Guests planning to stay must be prepared with cash for payment, as credit or debit cards may not be accepted. The provided phone numbers, (908) 689-3366 and +1 908-689-3366, allow for direct contact for inquiries and reservations. However, customer service experiences have been a significant point of concern in guest reviews. One review describes a rude interaction with the attendant, mentioning being "profiled" and feeling that the attendant was "more concerned to know who my boyfriend was" and "rudely asked for him to come in and see him," even demanding identification. This type of interaction is highly unusual and problematic in hospitality, leading to a "very unpleasant visit." Another severe review details a situation where the owner allegedly informed social services of a room availability but then denied it upon arrival, subsequently telling the guest to "get off his property bc I'm trespassing" and making the guest feel "very much in danger." These accounts suggest significant issues with customer service, professional conduct, and potentially discriminatory practices, which are critical considerations for anyone looking for lodging. Basic services like check-in and check-out would be available, but the quality of the interaction seems to be a major variable. While most motels provide free self-parking, and often complimentary Wi-Fi, these specific amenities are not explicitly confirmed by the negative reviews provided, which focus on more critical aspects of the interaction. Given the reported issues, the level of other typical motel services like housekeeping or guest assistance cannot be objectively detailed from the given information.
Based on the provided information, the Broadway Motel likely offers fundamental features typical of a budget-oriented motel. Rooms would generally include a private bathroom and a bed, serving as a functional space for sleeping. Given the description of it being "an old apartment looking motel," the decor and furnishings are likely to be simple and utilitarian, rather than luxurious or modern. Standard amenities usually found in such establishments might include air conditioning/heating, a television, and perhaps a small table or desk. However, no specific details about in-room features such as refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, or particular bed types are mentioned in the available reviews. The most prominent "feature" highlighted by reviews, albeit negatively, is the cash-only payment policy, which is a significant operational characteristic. The fact that the owner's behavior and customer service interactions are so heavily emphasized by past guests suggests that the human element and operational policies are more defining features of this motel than any specific physical amenities. The design likely prioritizes efficiency and cost-effectiveness, without significant investment in recreational facilities or upscale services. The direct access to rooms from parking spaces, a hallmark of motels, would be a structural feature. The basic nature of the establishment means guests should manage their expectations regarding modern conveniences and aesthetic appeal, focusing instead on the core function of providing a place to stay. The potential for encountering an "unpleasant visit" due to staff conduct is unfortunately a prominent feature drawn from the customer feedback.
For local users searching within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, the Broadway Motel would typically aim to attract guests seeking the absolute lowest price point for accommodation in the Washington, NJ area. Its primary promotional appeal would likely be its affordability and a straightforward, no-frills approach to lodging. However, the available customer reviews present significant challenges to any positive promotional efforts. The explicit mention of "only cash accepted" immediately narrows its target audience and may deter many modern travelers. Furthermore, the severe negative feedback regarding customer service, perceived profiling, rudeness, and feeling "in danger" poses substantial hurdles for positive promotion. The review stating, "That’s why I stick to real hotels… and Ofcourse I rented a nice room in a nearby town," directly undermines the motel's appeal and advises against staying there. Given these strong negative sentiments, any promotional information would need to address these issues directly, or the motel would likely rely on its absolute lowest price as its sole draw for a very specific segment of the market that prioritizes extreme budget over all other considerations, including service quality and safety concerns. It's difficult to objectively present positive promotional information when direct customer feedback is overwhelmingly negative regarding crucial aspects of a hotel stay. Prospective guests are strongly advised to consider these reviews thoroughly and perhaps explore alternative options in the area, even if they come at a slightly higher price point, to ensure a safer and more pleasant lodging experience. Direct contact at (908) 689-3366 is recommended for any inquiries, but guests should be prepared for the operational policies and potential customer service interactions highlighted in the reviews.

Nov 08, 2024 · KaylaThe couple that runs the motel were always going in my room when I was not there. They refused to give me a key to the room, I literally had to climb through the window, leave the door unlocked and open to theft, or ask the managers to come unlock my room. Absolutely ridiculous they don’t respect anyone.
