I booked there to live until I could find a place… that was the first mistake… on June 25 we were told we can pay $350 BIWEEKLY but after two weeks it suddenly jumped to $450 PER WEEK.. I was confused. None of the manager could figure out why I was paying more.. then we got told we can pay $900 bi-weekly due to our paycheck being bi-weekly. Well we payed on Aug 14 $966 and some change.. for two weeks to check out on Aug 28 @ 11:am. Well on Aug 23 we were told we own them money and have to be out. We contact the manager and they give us 24 hrs to figure out why we owe them money but there is nothing I have four receipts showing our check out date.. I called the police and they gave the police a different paper with a different check out date now saying we owed them $600+ like the heck. Well on Aug 24 we got told at 7pm we had 1 HOUR to be out or else we would get trespassed. The manager there can not communicate they are rude the rooms are very disgusting. They don’t care about anything other then a taking peoples money. I would 10000000% recommend you go somewhere else and stay very very far from them. They are very money hungry

While the motel offers basic accommodations, its focus on inclusive utilities and a central location makes it a consideration for locals navigating the often competitive lodging market of Asheville.
It's important for any traveler, especially those from within North Carolina, to gather all available information when choosing a place to stay. Brookside Motel is situated at 100 Tunnel Rd, Asheville, NC 28805, USA. This location is one of its primary advantages, offering excellent accessibility within Asheville. Tunnel Road is a major thoroughfare, meaning guests have direct and easy access to many of Asheville's key attractions and conveniences.
Being on Tunnel Road places the motel conveniently off the Asheville Transit line, which is a significant benefit for guests who prefer to use public transportation or do not have their own vehicle. This allows for easy commutes to various parts of the city without the need for driving and parking, which can be particularly challenging in downtown Asheville.
For those who prefer to explore on foot, the motel's location is within walking distance to several essential amenities. This includes shopping centers, where you can find various retail options, and grocery stores, making it simple to pick up daily necessities or ingredients for meals if you plan on utilizing the in-room kitchenettes. Brookside Motel's features are geared towards providing a functional and self-sufficient living space, particularly appealing for extended stays:
For Brookside Motel, specific, regularly advertised promotions are not as commonly detailed as with larger chain hotels. However, given its structure as a motel offering furnished studio apartments, it often functions more akin to short-term or extended-stay housing, where the pricing model itself can be considered a form of promotion for affordability.
For North Carolina residents considering Brookside Motel, the key "promotional" aspects lie in its inherent offerings:
While you might not find a "20% off weekend stay" type of promotion, the motel's business model inherently offers what could be considered a continuous value proposition for those seeking cost-effective and functional lodging in Asheville. It's always advisable to contact the motel directly to inquire about their current rates for your specific duration of stay, as rates and availability can change without notice. For many North Carolinians, especially those looking for practical, extended-stay solutions or budget-conscious travel within our own state, Brookside Motel in Asheville offers a distinct set of advantages. Its suitability for locals stems primarily from its focus on affordability, convenience, and a more self-sufficient living arrangement compared to traditional hotels.
The concept of furnished studio apartments with inclusive rent covering utilities, cable, and Wi-Fi is a significant draw. This model can be incredibly appealing for individuals or families from other parts of North Carolina who might be relocating to Asheville, undertaking temporary work assignments, or needing transitional housing. The clarity of an all-inclusive price eliminates the hidden costs often associated with extended hotel stays, allowing for better budget management – a common priority for local residents.
Furthermore, the motel's strategic location on Tunnel Road offers an undeniable convenience. Being on a major transit line means that even without a personal vehicle, navigating Asheville's various districts, from the vibrant downtown to essential shopping centers and grocery stores, is straightforward. This accessibility reduces the stress and cost of transportation, a factor particularly relevant for those on a tight budget or exploring the city without their own car. The walking distance to amenities like grocery stores also supports a more independent living style, allowing guests to prepare their own meals and save on dining out, which is a significant advantage for longer stays.
While some past guest experiences highlight areas for improvement in communication and room conditions, the motel's 2019 renovations and new management indicate a commitment to addressing these aspects. For North Carolinians who prioritize value, self-sufficiency, and a central location for their Asheville visit, Brookside Motel can serve as a practical and accessible base. It caters to a specific need in the market – that of affordable, extended lodging – making it a relevant option for those seeking a functional and cost-effective place to call "home" during their time in the beautiful mountain city of Asheville.

Aug 25, 2024 · Selena BarrettLarge rooms, old but clean. No towels or washcloths left by housekeeping. Roaches, rambin under the door got our stuff wet. No employees on site after 10 p.m. so we accidentally locked ourselves out of the room. No one at the desk. Called emergency number listed on the door, owner answered and explained that number is for TRUE emergencies and could we wait in our car until someone came into work the next a.m. MiND YOU IT WAS 11 P.M.! However after suggesting we climb the back balcony to which we denied and much complaining and many "WOWS" he came and opened the door for us. Despite that the place is quiet. No 2 bothers us. We now have many towels!!!

Sep 11, 2020 · Amber Coffey (Krazy)A bit dated probably but who cares. All the hotels and motel are expensive in Asheville and this place is a gem for what the charge. The room is exceptionally spacious and it’s even got a balcony. They don’t take reservation but I emailed the owner in advance to see if they have a room. I was on a biketour on Blue Ridge Parkway and couldn’t be sure when I’d arrive in Asheville but they gave me a peace of mind letting me know there’s be a room when I got there. They’d let me extend my stay at the last minute too. Yes there are minor downsides but this place made it possible for me to check out the great city during a stop on my tour. It’s a bit away from where everything is happening but a going through a tunnel to get downtown is kind of a charm too.
