We recently stayed over night at Caesar’s hotel. The room was adequate but nothing special. We spent time in the casino and in the room watching NCAA tournament games. The first issue was our neighbors in the next room. They entered their rooms with a bang and began screaming at the top of their lungs for the next two hours. We went to the front desk to complain to be told they. Couldn’t (“Wouldn’t”) do anything about it. The second issue was when we received our credit card bill. There were additional charges for the wonderful service and for water. SERVICE. We were charged a surcharge for their wonderful glorious service. A service that didn’t have the ability to go up and speak to a room full of screaming banshees. We reminded them of this situation when we called after we realized that we were provided these surcharges. They then told us they couldn’t do anything about the situation. They had no ability to do anything. It amazes me that they have no ability to control the people in their hotel rooms. It is their hotel. WATER. There were two bottles of water in the room that we didn’t use. We brought our own bottled water. We were told that we touched the bottles or moved them to the side. That is all it took to be charged for using the water.

The environment of Caesars Southern Indiana is that of a large-scale casino resort. It is purposefully designed as a self-contained entertainment hub, minimizing the need for guests to leave the property. The setting is in Elizabeth, Indiana, a location chosen for its proximity to the Louisville metropolitan area while adhering to Indiana's gaming regulations. The complex itself is substantial, featuring a hotel tower, a sprawling land-based casino (which replaced a former riverboat casino), multiple dining establishments, entertainment venues, and recreational facilities. The architecture and interior design often reflect a modern aesthetic, with ample space dedicated to gaming floors. The overall atmosphere aims to be vibrant and stimulating, particularly within the casino area, with the sounds of slot machines and table games creating a dynamic backdrop. Public areas are typically well-lit and designed for guest flow, facilitating movement between the hotel, casino, and restaurants. While it's a short drive from downtown New Albany (approximately 12-15 minutes), and accessible from Louisville, it's not nestled in a bustling city center but rather a destination unto itself. The complex includes a four-level parking garage and is primarily accessed by Indiana 111. There is also a nature preserve located nearby, offering a contrast to the indoor excitement.

Beyond basic hotel services, Caesars Southern Indiana's offerings extend to the casino and entertainment aspects. This includes dedicated staff for managing the gaming floor, facilitating transactions, and providing assistance at various gaming tables and slot machines. While customer reviews indicate some inconsistencies in staff friendliness or responsiveness, particularly concerning noise complaints and incidental charges, the hotel aims to provide a full-service experience. Services like room service (during limited hours), luggage storage, and a coffee shop/cafe are available. For those planning events, the resort offers extensive meeting and banquet facilities, including a ballroom and various meeting rooms, supported by event coordinators for weddings and other gatherings.

It is important for prospective guests to note that a resort fee is typically applied per night (around $18-$20), which covers certain amenities such as business center/computer access, fitness center access, internet access, and phone calls. Additionally, while the resort strives for high service standards, some past customer feedback indicates potential issues with noise control from other guests, and charges for in-room items like water, even if unused or minimally handled. The property may also have a deposit requirement upon check-in (e.g., $100 per stay or $75 per stay). It is always advisable to clarify charges and policies at check-in. Apr 04, 2025 · Carl AlveyVisited the casino while visiting New Albany. This location is a little off the beating path, which is totally fine. Just expect about a 12-15 minute drive from Downtown New Albany. The security at the entrance checking ID’s showed the biggest lack of care I had ever seen from an employee. Did not greet me upon entering. Did not offer any instruction of what I needed to do. I tried to hand him my license and he just points to the machine that scans it. He was slouched over on his stool resting on the podium in front of him. I told him thanks and to have a good night.. no response. It makes it hard to want to spend any money here when the staff is so unfriendly. The casino floor was nice, but absolutely nothing to call home about. No wow factor. Kind of a maze to get through the machines. $15/minimums on blackjack tables on a Monday night is a little steep I think. Nothing here was super impressive at all. I will probably not be back. Take your money an hour up the road to French Lick Resort and Casino where they appreciate their guests.
May 14, 2025 · Ben CrandallSo there is a bartender here named Chris. He makes the casino so much better. You've gotta go see him. I had the best time last night because of him. Thank you Chris. You're awesome
May 13, 2025 · Whitley HollowayI stayed at Caesars Southern Indiana Hotel as a mother's day getaway. I was not impressed with the room. It was nice but really needed to be dusted. I found cobwebs on both bedside lamps. The bathroom could have been cleaned better and I found mold around the vent in the bathroom. That is not my idea of a quality room. However, I have giving this hotel 4 stars (3.5 but I can't do the half) because of the spa. It is not much to look at but OMG the service is amazing. I had the Legendary Package and it was so good. I literally left the spa and fell right to sleep. I have never been so relaxed in my life. I also loved that fact that the tables were accommodating for plus size individuals. If you are looking for a quiet location with scenic views, this is an ideal location. Louisville is about 25 minutes away and Clarksville is 15. I enjoyed the incredible views I had from my room. I would stay at this hotel again. I would just ask for housekeeping to come and reclean the room when I arrive.
May 12, 2025 · MelanieI want to leave an honest review here. I have never been to a casino before because I just turned 21. When I pulled into the parking garage, and walked into the hotel I was greeted with smiles! The people at check in were very friendly & answered all of my questions. The food here is amazing & so are the drinks! Food prices run about 15-18 dollars a person which is average at any restaurant. ( Gordon Ramsey restaurant might have higher prices ). The room was very clean and affordable! I came on a week day so the rooms ran about 115 a piece! Casino- When entering the casino I was thrilled to see how BIG this place is. There are tones of machines & table games. I hit a a bunch of bonuses on multiple games! Cons- The only reason why this casino/hotel did not get a 5 star is because some of the restaurants were closed & the vending machines do suck. My room didn’t have a microwave which isn’t the biggest deal in the world but if I spend a chunk of money on food I would like to reheat it & not waste it. Overall this place is FANTASTIC!! Don’t miss out.
