Room couldn’t hold a temperature even though thermostat wasn’t messed with. Hallways are hot. Room was not serviced in the 3 nights we were there even though the policy days every other night. Hilton should be embarrassed to call this a Hilton brand hotel. Only good thing is it’s close to the downtown area; within walking distance. Tear this place down and build a nice hotel.

Customer reviews for Hampton Inn New Albany Louisville West present a mixed picture. While many guests praise the hotel for its "very nice and clean" rooms, "delicious breakfast," and "friendly and accommodating staff," there are notable concerns. Some guests have reported issues with room temperature control, hot hallways, and inconsistent room servicing, with one review stating the room was "not serviced in the 3 nights we were there even though the policy days every other night." This particular guest went on to say, "Hilton should be embarrassed to call this a Hilton brand hotel. Only good thing is it’s close to the downtown area; within walking distance. Tear this place down and build a nice hotel." Another long-time guest noted "pretty bad deterioration" in the room and difficulty getting partial cleaning and towels, along with an unpleasant interaction with a night manager who "questioned my wife and I as to where the bottled water we had in hand came from i.e. had we stolen it from the desk?" This guest also suggested, "somebody needs to spend money and get it back to stayable."
Despite these criticisms, other reviews, particularly on platforms like Booking.com (rated 8.7 based on 177 reviews, with high scores for cleanliness and staff), and Expedia (4.0 out of 5), indicate many positive experiences. Guests frequently commend the cleanliness, comfortable beds, quiet location, and good air conditioning. The breakfast consistently receives high marks for its variety and quality. Staff friendliness and helpfulness are also frequently highlighted in positive reviews. The contrasting feedback suggests that while the hotel has many strengths, particularly its location and core Hampton Inn offerings, there might be inconsistencies in maintenance or staff interactions that can significantly impact individual guest experiences. Potential guests are advised to consider recent reviews to get the most current understanding of typical guest experiences.

May 18, 2025 · Luke HI have been staying at this hotel since it was turned Hampton and renewed about 6? years ago. It's always been a good room and good staff until this time. The room show pretty bad deterioration, and it took three days (and three requests) to get a partial clean with towels. This time the night manager (older man, short, glasses, gray hair and pretty snotty) questioned my wife and I as to where the bottled water we had in hand came from i.e. had we stolen it from the desk? I really don't steal much..... Anyway, this was a decent place, but somebody needs to spend money and get it back to stayable.
Mar 29, 2025 · J WWhat should be a fantastic location near a beautiful downtown is a mediocre operation that's aged and in dire need of refreshment. Pillows are uncomfortable, beds lumpy decor is dated. Not bad, not great.
Mar 20, 2025 · Todd AndersonI missed my first night because of strep throat, I had attempted to reach out, to inform them I wouldn’t be there on night one. I was unable to reach anyone by phone, and the Hilton app wasn’t working properly. I showed up on night two and was charged $350 for the original three night reservation because I “no called, no showed”, and it’s their policy…however if the policy is that strict and expensive it should be advertised with transparency I then had to pay an additional $250 for the remaining two nights, as they refused to reinstate my reservation; despite being told earlier in the day they had 19 king rooms available. When I got to the room, I couldn’t control the heat, or cooling, and the bathroom appeared to have water damage, overall just appeared dirty. I messaged Hilton’s cooperate, with no response. However, I KNOW the messages get forwarded to the hotel manager; partially because the next day I came back from work to find my door had been left unlatched by maintenance after fixing the heat, so basically anyone walking by could have went into my room. I guess there isn’t a policy for that right? Overall, I spent $600+ on two nights here, and cannot get a response regarding this ridiculous policy which basically states they can steal my money. I’ll never stay again, and that’s a shame because had this not have happened, they would have a loyal customer for the 13 week duration of my work contract.
