I really like the Cambria chain of hotels and this new location is perfectly situated. It was within walking distance from my family home and was beautifully appointed. I love how modern and clean all the hotels are. You're always impressed when you walk into the lobby entrances or step into your room. It's a more budget conscious option for travelers like myself without having to sacrifice on the quality of your room or the overall aesthetic and decor. For this location, the only thing I was missing was a microwave in my room. They did have one in the lobby but I would have much preferred for it to be in my room like in the Fort Lauderdale location. I know sometimes there are space constraints but there are 3 things I generally like to have when I book a hotel stay: 1) a microwave, 2) an iron and ironing board, and 3) a mini fridge. Now, 2 out of 3 is not bad. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would likely book again with them on my return to the city.

May 13, 2025 · Oneil WilliamsI recently stayed at the Cambria Hotel New Haven and regret to say that my experience fell well below expectations for a hotel of this caliber. The hotel appears to be significantly understaffed, which was evident throughout my stay. Even more concerning was that the few staff members present at any given time seemed disinterested in assisting guests. When I called the front desk and requested additional towels for my room, I was met with audible reluctance rather than the helpful attitude one would expect from hospitality professionals. The basic amenities at this property were surprisingly limited. There is only one microwave available for all guests, inconveniently located downstairs in a common area. Basic items like plates were not provided, making it difficult to prepare even simple meals or snacks using the lone microwave. Again, there was a singular water fountain downstairs (which was often empty). Not to mention that staff specifically instructed me to not refill any bottles with said water and that I should seek the bar staff for refills. Unsurprisingly, the bar usually appeared to be unstaffed. Perhaps most disappointing was the fact that none of the trash cans within our room contained plastic liners, both a major inconvenience for the disposal of leaky goods and a major violation of sanitation protocol. Overall, I was immensely disheartened by my stay and would strongly urge that others opt for other proximate and equally affordable hotels in the area.
Apr 12, 2025 · Hirad HosseiniThe CAMBRiA hotel is clean and well-designed — you can tell the owners put real effort into the interior and overall look of the place. It feels modern and comfortable, and on the surface, everything looks great. However, the management and staff are a major letdown. The concierge desk is often empty — staff are either in the back room or outside the hotel on their phones. I waited over 15 minutes at the front desk just to ask about breakfast, only to be told at 7:15 AM that the chef was running late and would be there by 7:30 AM. I came back down at 9:00 AM, and the same person casually told me, “Oh, we don’t do breakfast.” I was shocked. The hotel clearly says breakfast is offered, but the staff didn’t seem to care or even know what was going on. I ended up checking out early and having breakfast at a random spot nearby. It was frustrating and disappointing, especially because the hotel itself has a lot of potential. The owner needs to seriously consider hiring a new property management company. With better staff and proper service, this place could be excellent. As it stands, it’s a nice hotel held back by poor service and unprofessional staff
Apr 06, 2025 · Diane MohamedShowed up with my daughter to find out that the room with the two queen beds I had paid for only had one bed. Was informed there weren't any rooms to move us to and we were offered an extra blanket. Bathroom light stayed on all night and the door was opaque so I couldn't even shut the door to block out the light. There was also a flashing light on the ceiling that went off every 15 seconds all night long. Pillows are flat and bed is very uncomfortable.
May 10, 2025 · Kirsten DuggerThis hotel was good besides the very uncomfortable pillows until the day we left. We went to this hotel for our anniversary and will never ever go back there. We were charged for a night that we supposedly were not there when we spent two nights. There is no manager on site during the weekends which was a big red flag because I happen to know people who own hotels and they always have a manager on site. The manager stated that it was a mistake and we would get a refund. Two weeks went by no refund and when I called they said it was just put it when it should've been returned to us two weeks ago. It's been a month now and we still did not get our money back. They did send us the invoice but honestly I think they just want more money out of people when we already paid over $500 for both nights. I will update this review if we ever get our money back. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else because we live locally and wanted to support within our town. This is an update we got our money back but for the length of time which was a month was too long. Again hope this does not happen to anyone else. We will not be back neither will I refer clients to this hotel.
