Mar 30, 2025 · Marina PlavnikMy husband and I traveled to New Haven twice to spend Thanksgiving and then Christmas with our son and his wife, and we stayed at The Study both holidays. The lobby is designed to feel like a Danish-style living room, with a variety of comfortable furniture arranged to delineate separate, private sitting areas. Celebrating these holidays is always best at one’s home, but it was surprisingly peaceful and pleasant to be in the lobby reading. We also found the restaurant was very good (and consistent), especially the breakfast choices. The Thanksgiving meal at Heirloom was outstanding, and the one lunch and dinner we had were well prepared and presented.
Dec 29, 2024 · Eileen SmithI enjoyed my stay thoroughly, it was very clean and pleasant. The furnishing is new looking and adequate. The morning coffee is good too. I thought they had a self service laundry area but apparently they don’t. There is one that’s about 5 mins walk away from the Study. As far as I’m concerned it was perfect for a business trip.
Feb 04, 2025 · Chaya Alexandra KongLove this gem of a hotel in the heart of Yale university - classy, cosy and comfortable. The room was bright and spacious, and the beds were comfy too. Nice touch for them to offer free coffee in the lobby every morning, and the Heirloom restaurant at the hotel also offered decent brunch options. It's also super walkable to all of the key Yale landmarks, being a stone's throw away from the Art Gallery and a 5-min walk from New Haven Green. Great stay all in all!
Dec 24, 2024 · Jennifer ChanWe went four people for dinner. Simply delicious. From the appetizers, starting with the Burrata and Ricotta, to the well-cooked pork chop, the chicken pasta, and the dinner's culmination with a delicious dessert board, including a brownie with caramel, an apple donut, and a creamy sauce, the meal was a spectacular one. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, the wine and champagne were delicious, and the local beers complemented the meal perfectly. Wedinson was an excellent host, recommending every aspect of the meal, from the appetizers to the dessert and drinks. Excellent service, and I look forward to returning soon. Congratulations.
