We have stayed at this hotel twice, both times to go to Splash Lagoon. The first time we were there, Carrie went above and beyond to help me with items we forgot to pack. She’s the reason we came back again! And just like the first time, upon greeting us she just lit up the lobby and I instantly felt at home! There could be a little more attention to detail by the housekeeping staff, specifically the carpets all seem to need a deep cleaning. But we’ve also stayed at the hotel next door and I think it’s very typical in these turn and burn budget friendly hotel destinations. Especially when you’re attached to a waterpark! You’re constantly fighting wet carpets and mold, and all in all they’re definitely keeping up with it probably as best as they can. We were only there to sleep, so I’m able to look past some things knowing this place could get a lot more expensive based on their waterpark accessibly. The walk to Splash Lagoon is a little longer than the surrounding hotels, but if you want to get the best bang for your buck, this hotel is a fantastic option. I hope Carrie gets well compensated, she is truly a fantastic asset to this company!

Comfort Inn & Suites Introduce

For those seeking a value-driven and convenient accommodation option in Erie, Pennsylvania, Comfort Inn & Suites is a relevant choice within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. Located at 8051 Peach St, Erie, PA 16509, USA, this hotel, part of the Choice Hotels family, aims to provide a comfortable stay with essential amenities, particularly appealing to families and travelers visiting the nearby Splash Lagoon water park.

The environment at Comfort Inn & Suites is generally welcoming, though specific challenges related to its high-traffic location are noted. One guest explicitly mentioned the hotel's proximity to Splash Lagoon, highlighting that being "attached to a waterpark" means "You’re constantly fighting wet carpets and mold." While this is a common challenge for hotels in such locations, the guest acknowledged that the hotel is "definitely keeping up with it probably as best as they can." This suggests that while deep cleaning of carpets might be an ongoing struggle, the overall environment is managed to an acceptable degree for a "turn and burn budget friendly hotel." Despite these challenges, the presence of exceptionally friendly staff, particularly Carrie, contributes significantly to a positive and "at home" feeling in the lobby. The hotel's design aims to be comfortable and functional, providing a practical base for guests. As a Comfort Inn & Suites, it typically offers common areas for relaxation, such as a lobby lounge and a breakfast area, designed to be inviting for guests. While the walk to Splash Lagoon is described as "a little longer than the surrounding hotels," its overall convenience to the popular water park is a key aspect of its environment, making it a natural choice for families looking for "Hotels Near Of Me" that facilitate water park visits.

In terms of services, Comfort Inn & Suites Erie receives outstanding praise for its staff. Carrie, a specific staff member, is repeatedly highlighted for going "above and beyond" to assist guests, even with forgotten items, and for her ability to "light up the lobby" and make guests "instantly feel at home." This exceptional level of personalized and friendly service is a significant strength and is a primary reason a guest chose to return. Another review commended Nicole in the breakfast area for her "sunny personality" that "helped make it a pleasant start to our day." This consistent positive feedback on staff indicates a strong service culture dedicated to guest satisfaction. The hotel provides a complimentary breakfast, a valued service for many travelers, contributing to the "best bang for your buck" appeal. Furthermore, the staff's accommodating nature extends to specific needs, as demonstrated by their efforts to provide a "handicap accessible room traveling after a surgery," ensuring the room was "perfectly set up to make the stay easier." This shows a commendable commitment to accessibility and guest comfort. Standard services like a 24-hour front desk and complimentary Wi-Fi would also be expected from a Comfort Inn & Suites, further enhancing convenience for guests.

The features of Comfort Inn & Suites Erie revolve around providing a comfortable and value-driven stay. Key features include its complimentary breakfast, a standard amenity for Comfort Inn properties. The hotel's direct proximity and "accessibly" to Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park is a major feature, although the walk might be slightly longer than some competitors. The availability of handicap accessible rooms, specifically designed to ease stays for guests with mobility needs, is another important feature, demonstrating inclusivity. While there might be some "wear and tear" such as carpets needing deep cleaning, the general functionality and comfort of the rooms are implied, especially given the focus on a "budget friendly" destination. The hotel aims to offer a good balance of essential amenities and convenience. The presence of suites, as indicated by the "Suites" in its name, suggests that guests can expect more spacious accommodations than a standard hotel room, potentially including a living area and a pull-out sofa, which is beneficial for families. The overall value proposition, emphasized by the phrase "best bang for your buck," is a core feature for this property, attracting travelers who prioritize affordability without compromising on essential services like a friendly staff and breakfast.

For promotional information, Comfort Inn & Suites Erie, as part of Choice Hotels, leverages its participation in the Choice Privileges loyalty program, offering members points and benefits. The hotel would likely promote its complimentary breakfast, pet-friendly policies (if applicable, though not explicitly mentioned, staff accommodation for guests with specific needs hints at flexibility), and its strategic location near Splash Lagoon as primary selling points. The exceptional staff, particularly those highlighted in reviews like Carrie and Nicole, could also be emphasized in promotional materials to assure guests of a warm and helpful experience. Potential guests can inquire about current rates, availability, and any special packages, especially those bundled with Splash Lagoon admission, by contacting the hotel directly at (814) 315-3669 or +1 814-315-3669. The hotel's position as a "budget friendly hotel" that offers "fantastic option" for value, despite being attached to a waterpark, would be a key message for those searching within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category for affordable family-friendly options.

In conclusion, Comfort Inn & Suites Erie offers a strong value proposition for travelers visiting Erie, PA, particularly those heading to Splash Lagoon. Its most significant strengths are its exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff, consistent efforts in cleanliness despite high traffic, and a convenient location with complimentary breakfast. While some minor maintenance issues common to high-volume family hotels may be present, the overall experience delivers "best bang for your buck," making it a reliable and welcoming choice within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category.

Needed a handicap accessible room traveling after a surgery. Staff was very accommodating and room was perfectly set up to make the stay easier. Nicole was working the breakfast area and her sunny personality helped make it a pleasant start to our day.

Let me start by stating the staff, was extremely friendly and helpful. The girls taking care of the breakfast area, were so nice and kept that area clean. The housekeeping staff were great too. We needed more bath towels and toilet paper, and they got those to us quickly. My review is at no way a reflection on them. Let me start with the beds/mattress. If you like sleeping on cinder blocks, then you’ll have the best nights sleep ever. I could barely walk the next morning because my back was so sore from the rock hard bed. The pillows were the best part of the room. The sheets were clean. The water pressure must all be going towards the water slides, because it was like a spring mist over my body. I still have soap in places I didn’t know I had. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner if you want some resemblance of normal hair. And thank goodness I brought my own soap. Whatever the hotel provided, is not something I would ever use. The pool was not bad. The kids actually loved it. They do not have a steady supply of pool towels. There is a space for them, but there won’t be any for you. So you’ll have to drip dry back to your room. Also, if you think by plugging in your devices into the outlets in the room will get you the full charge you expect after a night long charge, you’d be wrong. I barely had 50% charge. I get this hotel chain is more of a budget friendly option, but that shouldn’t mean the customers get subpar quality. Corporate needs to do better. Shout out again to the staff, they work hard and deserve a raise.

We had an excellent experience staying at the comfort inn! The staff was extremely helpful. Did not expect a hot breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised by the relative quality and quantity. We were able to bring our pup and she enjoyed herself as well!

I booked the room almost a week ahead of time and we had a late check in. The front desk clerk called maintenance and asked them if the room was ready and said we could go to our room. When we opened the door to the room, there was an overwhelming air freshener smell that was sickening. We went back to the front desk and asked if we could switch rooms and were told they didn’t have anymore left. They must have accommodated other customers and left the “bad” room for us. They gave us a blower to try to air the room out and took down a huge air freshener off of the wall. We asked the housekeeping staff if any other rooms had this kind of air freshener in them and they told us no. It appeared as though they were trying to cover over another smell in the room. I had trouble sleeping… the smell gave me a headache and I awoke in the middle of the night choking and gagging from a scratchy throat. It ruined my whole next day at splash lagoon. The pull out bed was also in very bad shape. When we complained, we were offered 2 free ice cream cones and 2 arcade cards, equivalent to about 3 free games a piece. When I filled out a survey, the manager offered $40 off our next stay at the hotel. Needless to say, we will not go back.
