We stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites at 455 Theatre Drive in Johnstown, PA, for a one-night layover during our family’s spring break trip, and it was an average experience overall. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made checking in and out a pleasant process. The beds were comfortable, and the room itself was clean, providing a decent spot to rest for the night. I also appreciated the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in the shower—a nice touch that’s more convenient and eco-friendly than the usual tiny bottles, something I wish more hotels would adopt. However, there were a few drawbacks that kept this from being a standout stay. The pool was a bit of a letdown—it had a strange smell, which we also noticed when taking showers, so it might just be the local water. Still, the pool itself looked a little murky and was definitely in need of relining or repainting to freshen it up. On the plus side, they had a hot tub, which is a rare find in hotels these days and a nice bonus for a quick soak. The breakfast was average—nothing amazing, just standard fare like eggs, sausage, and pastries that got the job done but didn’t leave a lasting impression. Overall, the Comfort Inn & Suites was fine for a quick layover, with a clean room and friendly staff, but the pool’s condition and the uninspiring breakfast kept it from being more than a middle-of-the-road experience. It served its purpose for our one-night stop, but we’d probably look for other options if we’re passing through Johnstown again.

Apr 19, 2025 · Justin JamesI love going to different places and staying at hotels. I was so very comfortable. The lady at the front desk was the best! She gave me a discount and all. And they have a pool! Nice place to stay. I will be going back.
May 15, 2025 · Pamela McCainLocation was great and staff was amazing. All employees that we interacted with were helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that you can hear EVERYTHING going on in other rooms.....
May 18, 2025 · A.As someone who practically lives on the road for work we stay in hotels almost all week long. This was the second time we stayed at this location. The first time the elevators amd the 3rd floor stank of rotting fish. The elevators on the one side was completely covered in filth and the other one only works half the time. The breakfast is dog food compared to other hotels that are way cheaper. I stayed there again not by choice and was put on the 5th floor. There are physical cracks and water damage to the ceilings. Mold is growing. The minimalist in our from was from the early 2k and was super loud. The tvs on the 5th floor have only 20 channels where the rest of the hotel has 65. The lady at the front desk in the morning is extremely rude. When I said something to her about it another customer jumped down my throat and basically attacked me yet she kicked me out for telling him to leave me alone and I don't care what his opinion is. Ita way over priced for the quailty of the hotel. If i wanted to atay at a quailty in i wouldve juat paid them instead. The night shift guy is cool though he is very professional. The beds are comfortable as well. But other than that I would not recommend this hotel. There are plenty of other ones in the area just make sure you make a reservation before hand cause the book up fast and I can see why
Apr 10, 2025 · Thomas ReimertWe stayed for 2 nights in April. The hotel is old, dark and dirty. In 2 nights, I went through 6 key cards because the readers kept failing. Worst of all my daughter and her friends are now covered in bumps. We assume from the pool since, 6 days later we still can't get the chlorine smell out of their hair, but we're praying it isn't due to bed bugs. I will not stay here again. ETA: There have now been more than 5 of the kids in our group with confirmed cases of folliculitis requiring antibiotics to clear. Since the hot tub is attached to the pool and the waters mix, there is no way to know which source caused it however, the hotel management as well as Comfort Inn's corporate offices could care less.
