A random guy used his room key to open my door while my girlfriend and I were there on the morning of 6/8/25. Immediately called staff to inform them of this and spoke to them about it before leaving shortly. It was said, cameras were being checked and that upper management would give me a call that following day due to their absence. It’s 6/11/25, and haven’t heard anything back. Overall, the location was fine, the indoor pool was pretty good, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good also. I’m hopeful my issue isn’t experienced by others and that staff’s communication and safety measures are priority moving forward.

The positive mentions of comfortable rooms, a good breakfast, and notably, the accommodating and friendly staff, are strong indicators of a generally pleasant experience. A personable and helpful team, as described by guests, can often make a significant difference in a hotel stay, particularly when navigating any minor issues that might arise.
However, it is absolutely essential for locals to consider the very serious security incident reported in a recent review (a stranger using a key card to enter an occupied room) and the subsequent reported lack of follow-up from management. Additionally, the mention of a "moist" and "damp" smell in a room is an important detail to be aware of. While hotels can quickly address specific room issues, a security concern like the one described requires a high level of transparency and demonstrable action. Therefore, while Comfort Suites Simpsonville - Greenville offers many desirable features for a local stay, prospective guests are strongly advised to inquire directly about safety measures and recent improvements to ensure their peace of mind before booking, allowing them to fully enjoy the otherwise positive aspects of this Simpsonville accommodation.

Jun 11, 2025 · KTF MotivationManager Rob is very accommodating and personable. The young lady who's name i can't remember was very knowledgeable and friendly. The downside is that the room we stayed in smelled... moist, it was damp and the smell was strong. The shower was hot and powerful as it should be. The staff made the difference for us.
Jun 01, 2025 · Tiffany SanfordStayed there last week. Checked in Thursday, left Sunday. Can’t say enough about the employees; Extremely helpful. We had to switch rooms after the first night. In our original booked room, the sink was clogged. You couldn’t run the water for more than a few seconds before it would be backed up into the sink. We called the front desk, and our options were limited. However, they were able to find us another room. The second room was worse than the first. Mold on the ceiling from a roof leak, drywall above the window was falling apart, stains on the curtains, mold on the bathroom wall next to the tub, mold on the shower walls, and what can only be described as a booger on our room number in the hallway. Again, the employees were as helpful as can be, but there were several large groups booked for that weekend, and that’s what was available. I can not in good conscience recommend this place to stay.
Apr 30, 2025 · Chris BrayWhen checking in on Monday, I was welcomed by an amazing woman who was incredibly friendly and helpful. That was where the positive part ends. The hotel has one elevator which is a little frustrating. The room and the shower grossed me out, and there was a decently-sized moldy water stain on the ceiling which was my view from the bed. The breakfast was ok the first day, and the second day, it felt previous food items were being reused. I will definitely not be going back and would not suggest you visit either. There is a Holiday Inn Express in the area that is only a little more expensive and is way cleaner.
May 08, 2025 · Christina RetzerLast week was one of the worstest stays I've had at the comfort suites in Simpsonville SC. I wish I could give 0 stars. I requested the 1st floor for medical reasons(seen staff was staying in the 1st floor rooms) but was placed on the 3rd floor at the end of the hallway in the same room that had mushrooms growing in it at our last stay. I have been staying here for the last 3 years once or twice a year there has been problems with the roaches (Big Palmetto Roaches) in the room had to have staff come spray the room then seen two more roaches before laying down so our room got switched and we still seen a roach in that room the next night (2nd stay), spiders in the room twice (this stay) I had to buy raid because of my last stay so we was prepared, mushrooms growing in the room under the bed and air conditioner(2nd stay), mold and mildew in the shower and rooms (each stay), blood like stains on the carpet, dirty linen, birds and bird dropping in the pool which the kids noticed after being in the pool (this stay). The rates have went up each year that I have stayed here at least $100 each year. The customer service from management and assistant was very rude and unpleasant they had babies and little kids behind the desk with them (I believe their names were Vanessa and Christy)(I had to call corporate because Vanessa was trying to charge me more than my reservation stated and give me a king bed when I reserved a double bed and corporate called her on the other line and they told me they spoke with Vanessa and my rates will not change). This hotel has went way downhill since our 1st stay. I will stay at another hotel the next time I am in Simpsonville. The only thing that was ok was the breakfast.
