When searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Atlanta metropolitan area, particularly within the bustling Perimeter Center district, the Courtyard Atlanta Perimeter Center is a property that often appears as a convenient and functional choice. Located at 6250 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd, Atlanta, GA 30328, USA, this hotel, part of the Marriott family, aims to provide a comfortable and productive environment for both business and leisure travelers.
The Courtyard Atlanta Perimeter Center boasts a highly strategic location in Sandy Springs, a prominent area within Atlanta's Perimeter Center. This district is a significant hub for corporate offices, medical facilities, and upscale retail. The hotel is situated very close to major business centers, making it a practical choice for corporate travelers. Perimeter Mall, a major shopping and dining destination, is approximately one mile from the hotel, offering a vast array of options for guests. Additionally, Northside Hospital Atlanta and Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital are within easy reach, which is beneficial for those visiting patients or attending medical appointments.
For guests relying on public transportation, the hotel is conveniently located near the Sandy Springs MARTA station (about a half-mile away) and the Dunwoody MARTA station, providing access to downtown Atlanta and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (approximately 20 miles or 35 minutes away). The hotel's proximity to major roadways like I-285 and GA 400 offers good connectivity, although traffic can be a factor during peak hours.
The hotel property itself is a four-story building, aiming for a contemporary residential style. Guest reviews, however, present a mixed picture regarding the property's age and condition. While some sources mention a "guest room refresh" in late 2019/early 2020, suggesting updates, other reviews describe the property as "REALLY old," implying that a full, comprehensive renovation might still be needed in some areas to update certain features. The hotel features an outdoor courtyard with a firepit and a garden, providing pleasant spaces for relaxation. Parking is available for a fee (e.g., USD 8 per day for self-parking). The property is smoke-free indoors, but access to rooms is via exterior corridors, a feature that might be a consideration for some guests. There is a rooftop garden on the property, adding to the outdoor amenities. The hotel also prioritizes eco-friendly practices with LED lighting, double-glazed windows, comprehensive recycling, and no plastic coffee stirrers. Overall cleanliness is highly rated by many recent guests, despite isolated negative comments.
The Courtyard Atlanta Perimeter Center provides a variety of services and amenities designed to cater to the needs of its guests. A central feature is "The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect.", which serves American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While breakfast is not complimentary and incurs a surcharge (typically USD 10 to USD 20 per person for a full breakfast), it offers a convenient option for meals, including Starbucks® coffee. Guest reviews provide mixed feedback on dining; some find the bar "closed on the weekends" which can be an inconvenience for leisure travelers, indicating a primary focus on weekday business clientele. There is also a coffee shop/cafe and a snack bar/deli available, and fresh sandwiches and snacks are offered 24 hours a day at The Market.
For recreation and wellness, the hotel offers a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, complete with sun loungers, ideal for unwinding during warmer months. The pool is generally open from late May to early September. A 24-hour fitness center is available, equipped for guests to maintain their exercise routines. The hotel provides complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi (25+ Mbps) and wired internet access in all guest rooms and public areas, ensuring reliable connectivity. A 24-hour business center offers computers and printing facilities, catering to business travelers. The hotel also features five meeting rooms with a total event space of 1,100 to 2,268 sq. ft., accommodating various event sizes, and suitable for business meetings or small gatherings. Wheelchair-accessible business center and lounge are available. The hotel also offers a free shuttle service to nearby locations (within a certain radius, often 3 miles), enhancing accessibility for guests without personal vehicles.
Other essential services include a 24-hour front desk, ensuring assistance is always available. The staff generally receives positive comments for being "kind" and "helpful," with many guests praising their customer service and welcoming attitude. Luggage storage, dry cleaning/laundry services, and self-serve laundry facilities are also provided. The hotel offers a front-desk safe for valuables. While the hotel is generally smoke-free, one highly critical review reported a "strong mildew smell" in a room, which was "unbearable," indicating a significant environmental issue for that guest. This contrasts with other recent reviews that mention a pleasant smell and overall cleanliness, suggesting that such issues might be isolated rather than pervasive. The hotel also offers express check-in and check-out services.
The Courtyard Atlanta Perimeter Center features 145 guest rooms, including studio and one-bedroom suites, accessible via exterior corridors. These rooms are designed to provide a comfortable and functional space. A key feature is the inclusion of a mini-refrigerator and a coffee/tea maker in each room, offering convenience for storing beverages and preparing hot drinks. Some rooms, particularly suites, also feature a microwave, though one review noted "No microwave in King room," suggesting this may not be a standard amenity in all room types.
Rooms are equipped with 40-inch flat-screen TVs offering premium cable channels and streaming services like Netflix, providing entertainment options. The beds feature premium bedding, designed to offer a comfortable night's sleep. Guests have consistently praised the "comfortable" beds. Each room also includes a dedicated workspace with a desk and an ergonomic chair, along with complimentary wired and wireless internet access. Private bathrooms come with shower/tub combinations, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. While generally clean, the mention of a "strong mildew smell" in one review is a significant concern regarding air quality and cleanliness for some guests; however, other recent reviews contradict this, highlighting the rooms' cleanliness and pleasant smell. Irons and ironing boards are also standard in rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned.
Some rooms may feature a balcony or patio, offering an outdoor space and in some cases, pool views. Blackout drapes/curtains are standard, aiding in a restful environment. Connecting/adjoining rooms are available upon request, catering to families or groups. Free cribs/infant beds are also available. Accessible room options are provided, including those with roll-in showers, adapted tubs, grab bars near toilets, lowered peepholes, flashing door knockers, and visual fire alarms, ensuring accessibility for guests with disabilities.
As a Marriott property, Courtyard Atlanta Perimeter Center participates in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, allowing guests to earn and redeem points for stays and enjoy member benefits. The hotel positions itself as a convenient choice for travelers needing access to the Perimeter Center's business and commercial areas.
Guest feedback for the Courtyard Atlanta Perimeter Center is varied, yet recent reviews generally lean towards positive. Many guests consistently praise the "clean," "quiet," and "comfortable" rooms, and commend the "kind" and "helpful" staff, with numerous mentions of excellent customer service. The location receives high marks for its convenience to shopping, dining, and corporate centers. The Bistro's breakfast, though not free, is often described as "delicious." The free Wi-Fi and accessible entry with keycard only (enhancing security) are also appreciated.
However, some significant concerns have been raised by a minority of guests. The primary negative issues highlighted in past reviews include a pervasive "strong mildew smell" in specific rooms, indicative of potential humidity or mold issues, which greatly impacts guest comfort and health. Other criticisms pertain to the property being "REALLY old" with "small rooms" and "TINY refrigerators," suggesting that despite minor refreshes, the underlying infrastructure or design might be dated. The limited weekend services, specifically the bar being "closed on the weekends," points to a strong weekday business traveler focus that may neglect the needs of leisure or group travelers, as experienced by a group during a high school reunion. The cost of breakfast and the parking fee are also noted as additional expenses. The property does not allow pets, except for service animals. Check-in is typically at 3:00 PM and check-out is by 12:00 PM, with a minimum check-in age of 18. A deposit of USD 50 per stay is generally required upon arrival. The hotel implements enhanced cleaning measures, including daily disinfection in all rooms and common areas, hand sanitizer availability, and contactless check-in/check-out options.
In summary, the Courtyard Atlanta Perimeter Center offers a functional stay with a highly advantageous location for business and convenience in Sandy Springs. While it provides essential amenities, comfortable beds, and generally helpful staff, potential guests should be aware of the reported issues regarding outdated aspects of the property and isolated cleanliness/odor concerns, particularly if sensitive to such environmental factors or if planning a weekend stay expecting full service. It remains a viable option for those prioritizing location and value within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in the Perimeter Center.

Mar 28, 2025 · STNHost hotel for my high school reunion. 100+ rooms booked. REALLY old property with small rooms, TINY refrigerators and bar closed on the weekends. Definitely focused on Sun - Thursday evening business travelers and screw the weekend crowd. Too bad that they didn’t realize the massive financial/customer experience opportunity and totally blew it!!
Apr 26, 2025 · Chuck BuisI am very uncomfortable sleeping in hotels and I was comfortable here. Clean linens and comfortable mattress. Only con was no microwave in room and no breakfast included. There is a bar and restaurant on premises. Location is Great!
Jan 26, 2025 · A. B.DO NOT STAY HERE ! I booked 2 nights for my bf and added him as a guest on my account. The manager at the front and an associate stated that there was a different name on the account when my bf showed them the confirmation sent via email with HIS name on the reservation. The manger then states she sees my bfs name and that they needed his card when the room was already paid for. The manger then states that because another name was on the account (which there wasn’t) because I had proof there was going to be issues with booking. I asked for them to cancel the room for the 2 nights because of the horrible service and the attitude provided by the management here. Imagine traveling and getting to your hotel and trying to check in for an HOUR and they are denying you service and creating problems. Do better I’ve stayed at plenty of Marriott’s and have NEVER had this problem.
Jan 31, 2025 · Tamia BermudezWent for the evacuation due to Hurricane Milton. Arrived at 7 am in the morning. 23 hrs no sleep, check in and at 8 am they start going around hammering, moving ladders and making a huge racket with painting. Further, when they painted the balconies, the smell of the paint leaked all the way into the rooms and hallways. The response from the folks down stairs was, oh well, painting is gonna be done and can't get around it. Basically a don't like it, leave type of reply knowing full well that other places were booked up. Don't even get started on the laundry room. Apparently someone else had already complained about it prior to us and people using it dontnknow how to read either since they kept putting detergent in the softener bin. Apparently the people cleaning knew more about what was available and what to find where than the actual people working in the lobby. An older lady working in the lobby was the only one who seemed to have a lot of knowledge. For the type of brand it is, you'd think service was gonna be amazing. So much for hospitality central, the slogan for the city the hotel was located in.
