Courtyard Atlanta Windy Hill/Ballpark

Dingiest hotel I have ever stayed at! Avoid if possible! We've stayed at courtyards before, I couldn't believe this was one. I get it, it's an older hotel, but how could they let it get that bad?? The bathroom had no ventilation, and...is that mold with paint over it?? Paint falling off the ceilings, the faucet to the tub was coming loose, I dared not touch the walls. Also, no trash can in the bathroom either... I was woken up in the really early in the morning to the upstairs guests showering. The pipes made a horrible loud high pitched noise that kept me up until they finished. Happened again the next day to confirm it's the shower but luckily in the evening when we weren't asleep. We wanted a do not disturb sign and couldn't find one, asked front desk and they couldn't find any and one staff member suggested stealing one from another room. Would you not have enough for each room? We had to leave really early for check out, and unfortunately I left my pillow. Called that night, they said they wouldn't know anything until housekeeping got in there. Fair enough. Called next day, they said housekeeping was done for the day and call tomorrow. We did so at an earlier time, they were closed at that time as well. Finally called mid day, they said they would go check and call us back, and never heard from them. I've given up on the pillow, they probably threw it out, it's just a pillow. But still! Geez! Avoid! I would happily pay the extra money to stay at a better and cleaner hotel than this.

They had our suite ready early. Went in to examine every thing and do extra cleaning. Turned the bed covers down and noticed hair and crumbs at the bottom of the sheet. The manager was very nice and got us another room. Went to that room and it was occupied! Wow! Another sweet lady at the desk got another room for us. Thank God it was the best one. It had a bigger bathroom and everything was a little more updated. The suite was spacious and well appointed with refrigerator and microwave. Overall after all that it was a nice stay and hotel is close to everything. Would still recommend. Nowadays work ethic isn't what it used to be. You will have to clean your room if you want it done right

Excellent location for a trip to a Braves game...a little over a mile and an easy walk. The pool area is top-notch, and the lobby has ample comfy couches and chairs. The coffee bar in the lobby is also nice, with a variety of options for food and drinks. The service was very good too. Our only issues were the sightings of multiple cockroaches inside the hotel, including one in our room, and the handicap access room we were given at checkin. We didn't know it was a wheelchair accessible room until we got in there, and it wasn't an issue except for the shower. It would've been nice to know we were getting this type of room, and an explanation why...and a discussion of other options for us. That being said, we'd likely stay there again for another Braves game.

This was on of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. We were there for my sons baseball tournament for over a week and never once did they clean our room or bring us clean sheets even after requesting serveral times a day. I had to go to the front desk to finally get clean towels myself. The ceiling had moisture in the corner and there were clearly brown water spots all over our room. The ice machine never worked so we kept having to bug the sweet lady at the front desk. The Bistro Cafe and bar that they advertise was never open and we were sadly told to go to the hotel next door for food and drinks if we wanted that option. If I could give a negative star rating I would. The only thing positive I can honestly say about this hotel was the ladies at the front desk were very friendly despite all the complaints they kept receiving from all the guests about the broken ice machine and for not getting their rooms clean or clean towels either. It wasn't just us. I never ever complain but this one deserves to be out there to warn people not to waste their money staying here when there are far better and much nicer options in the area for close to the same price. Our other families stayed at a Fairfield Inn and said their place was so much nicer than our hotel. It's so disappointing that we got stuck staying here and couldn't change hotels because of the huge tournament that week. Trust me we tried to find another place to stay. They don't hesitate charging full rate for no services or amenities whatsoever.

In general it was a good experience. Reception very good, hotel clean and modern. Nevertheless it all goes sour, when the second day in a row you return to your room at 2pm and the room isn't done. I've never had such an experience in a hotel. Usually the rooms occupied by guests (the ones that are staying) are done by 12 o clock the latest. The first day i returned at 4pm to my room and it wasn't done. It get`s worse when you try to raise the concern. I asked what the usual time is at which the room should be cleaned already and the answer was that it depends on the way house keeping is organizing their rounds. I do not think it is the best way of attending a reasonable customer concern. I have been sitting now for almost 1 hour in the lobby without that anyone has informed me that the room has been done. It is very sad how a general good impression get`s ruined by such an easy to fix detail.
