Thankfully we are only staying one night. My family and I are traveling, long drive, so we stopped to spend the night here. It seemed decent online, the lobby was nice but after walking to the hallways to get to our room we quickly realized the mistake we made. The carpets are nasty, when the elevator opened there was a dirty washcloth on the ground along with other filth. Once we got to second floor & exited the elevator we were met with an awful smell. Can’t tell if it was cigarette, dog or body odor. Just absolutely atrocious. The rooms are small and far from comfortable/clean. I don’t think I’ve ever had a worse experience at a hotel, can’t wait until morning..

Jun 10, 2025 · Haley CanterI checked in Friday afternoon on March 28, 2025 and had booked two rooms that were ajoined. One for myself and one for my teenage daughter. When I checked in, I asked the lady at the front desk to confirm if the rooms were adjoining, and was assured by her as well as another employee that it was. When I got upstairs to the room, I immediately called the front desk and was told that they were sorry but that's what they showed. She told me I could check out with no penalty but I said no because my money would be tied up in the other room until after the weekend. I was told I could get something free from the marketstore for free for the inconvenience but when I went down at 12 midnight, I was told I would have to pay for the item and they were not told anything about being given anything for the mistake. No issues that Friday night. When I approached the front desk about the Friday night issue, Langston handled it right away. But the next night 3:30 am on Sunday, March 30th, my boyfriend (who had stayed with me that night ) and I were awakened to someone knocking on my door. He appeared to be intoxicated. He was on the floor with security, and he was knocking on every door. Security was asked to have him stop knocking on doors, as our daughter was also on the floor, and it was inappropriate. We think it’s over and go back to sleep to be awakened by the same guy knocking on our door at 8 am, and this time I answer it with a T-shirt on, thinking it was my daughter or housekeeper, but it was this same guy. He looked at me, looked me up and down, and said "Oh my bad" and then continued to go up and down the hall, knocking on doors. By the time I could get back to the bed to get my phone, my daughter was texting me, saying she was scared because someone had knocked on her door. At that time, I messaged the front door using app, advising what happened. I will say it was strange because he didn’t stand directly in front of the door, so he could be seen, but off to the side. That’s weird. This is when I was told the situation was being handled, which I found out later was by the General Manager. When I checked out the next day, I called and requested a manager. I was told one wasn't available and they would have one call me. I received a call within 5 minutes of hanging up from the GM. She explains that she handled the issue on Sunday but wasn't sure what happened the night before, but would look into it. She said that the person was intoxicated, but they were a guest of another guest who forgot the room number. I was told that I would be credited points for the inconvenience on Sunday, and that never happened. I contacted Marriott and they won't do anything about the situation either, saying it's up to the hotel. What’s also a big coincidence is that when I had rooms next to each other the night before this didn’t happen. Only when the rooms were 2 doors down. But I booked rooms thinking we were going to be safe and not have any issues. I know things happen, but I want to feel safe while staying in a hotel. I know things happen, but this is unacceptable. This isn’t the first time I stayed at the property, the first time no issues. That’s why I came back. I always stay at a Marriott property and somewhere in that area. Never had an issue. I frequent Greensboro a lot my son attends college there, and have many friends who live within the area. I’m there a couple of weekends out of month and would love to stay again, but would like to feel safe while visiting. I'm a valued Marriott rewards customer and have been for years. Never have I ever witnessed anything like this. I have stayed in hotels before and never had anything like this happen before. There should be other safety protocols in place to secure the safety of guest. Its at the point now with the property not caring why should I want to stay at the property again better yet stay at Marriott property.
Apr 22, 2025 · Sharri DuellWe checked in for the weekend to attend a wedding. Found out we booked the wrong Courtyard and management was willing to waive the cancellation fee so we could be closer to our family. Room was very clean as was the lobby. Terrific service from all staff and we’d recommend this hotel to friends/family next time we’re in town.
