This place is very run down. We stayed in the sugar cabin. It has a lot of wear on the floors. The cabinets were covered with a greasy film. I had to wipe everything down with Clorox wipes. The windows are filthy. The bathroom shower head leaks behind the wall. The jacuzzi tub does not work. The hot tub smells musty. You have to keep emptying the dehumidifier or the place smells awful. I had to buy candles to cover the smell. I also had to buy toilet paper and paper towels along with garbage bags. 2 rolls of TP were provided no paper towels and only two garbage bags. We were here for 5 days. You have to take your garbage up the road to get rid of it and the second time we tried to get rid of it the dumpster was locked so we had to bring our garbage back to the room. I’m not sure how this cabin got such good reviews. It is in complete neglect. The front door is not sealed all the way. We had ants in our bathroom and I had two crawl on me in bed. Would never ever stay here again and there are no views from this cabin. Another deceiving advertisement.

The allure of a cabin stay in Gatlinburg typically includes amenities like hot tubs, fireplaces, and a chance to truly unwind amidst the peaceful surroundings. For many, it's about finding that perfect balance between rustic charm and modern convenience.
While some older reviews available online praise similar properties associated with "Cozy Cabin" or "Cozy Nest Cabin" for their peaceful location, cleanliness, and amenities, recent feedback specifically for a cabin called "Cozy Nest Cabin" on Hoot Owl Way raises some significant concerns regarding maintenance, cleanliness, and customer service. It's crucial for prospective renters to be aware of these recent experiences to make an informed decision. Our goal is to provide a factual overview based on available public data, offering a balanced perspective for those considering this option for their next Smoky Mountain adventure.
Cozy Nest Cabin is located at 526 Hoot Owl Way, Gatlinburg, TN 37738, USA. This address places it within the broader Gatlinburg area, a popular destination nestled at the doorstep of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The "Hoot Owl Way" address suggests a setting that aims for a sense of quiet and connection with nature, often found on winding mountain roads typical of cabin communities in the region.
Accessibility to Cozy Nest Cabin is primarily by personal vehicle. Like many cabins in the Smoky Mountains, the approach to the property may involve navigating some steep and winding roads. Guests should be prepared for mountain driving conditions, especially during inclement weather. For instance, some reviews for similar cabins in the area mention steep driveways. The cabin's location is intended to offer proximity to Gatlinburg's main attractions while providing a secluded feel.
From 526 Hoot Owl Way, guests would typically have a reasonable drive to reach downtown Gatlinburg, which offers a myriad of attractions, dining, and shopping options. Popular destinations like the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, and Ober Gatlinburg would be accessible by car within minutes to a short drive. While the cabin aims for a "no views" private, wooded setting as per one review, its general location within Gatlinburg places guests within reach of the area's many offerings, allowing for day trips and exploration.
Based on the typical offerings of cabins in the Gatlinburg area and details from various listings, Cozy Nest Cabin would generally aim to provide a self-catering and amenity-rich stay. However, recent guest feedback indicates significant inconsistencies in the actual provision and quality of these services. Intended services include:
It is important for potential guests to be aware that while these services are generally expected from cabin rentals, recent negative reviews for Cozy Nest Cabin indicate that the quality and completeness of these provisions may be severely lacking.
The features and highlights of Cozy Nest Cabin, as advertised or typically expected of cabins in this area, contrast with some recent guest experiences. While the intention might be to offer the following, recent reviews describe significant issues:
These discrepancies between expected features and actual guest experiences highlight a potential concern regarding the property's upkeep.
As Cozy Nest Cabin operates as an individual cabin rental (likely managed by a property management company), it does not typically offer standardized promotions or loyalty programs found with major hotel chains. Any special offers would be at the discretion of the management or booking platform.
Prospective guests might find variations in pricing based on the season, length of stay, or last-minute availability on third-party booking websites (e.g., Vrbo, Airbnb if listed there). However, recent reviews describe a "terrible company ethics" and "terrible customer service" with a refusal to issue refunds even for flight cancellations due to inclement weather, which is a significant concern for potential guests looking for flexibility or fair treatment in unforeseen circumstances. This suggests that any promotions, if offered, might come with strict terms and conditions.
It is always crucial to thoroughly read all terms and conditions and cancellation policies before booking, especially given the recent negative feedback regarding customer service and refunds.
For inquiries, booking, or to discuss specific needs regarding Cozy Nest Cabin, you can use the following contact information:
Given the recent feedback regarding customer service, prospective guests might consider reaching out with detailed questions about the cabin's condition, cleanliness protocols, and specific amenities (e.g., the functioning of the hot tub and jacuzzi) before making a reservation. It is also advisable to verify the identity of the property management company if dealing with a third-party listing, to better understand their policies.
For Tennesseans considering a local getaway to the Great Smoky Mountains, the allure of a private cabin like Cozy Nest Cabin is understandable. The idea of a secluded retreat with amenities like a hot tub in a natural setting is highly appealing for relaxation and enjoying the beauty of our state. Its location in Gatlinburg offers proximity to popular attractions, making it a convenient base for exploring the area's shops, restaurants, and outdoor adventures.
However, it is crucial for locals to approach booking Cozy Nest Cabin with caution, given the very recent and specific negative feedback. While the concept of a "Cozy Nest" sounds ideal, reviews highlighting significant issues with cleanliness ("greasy film," "filthy windows"), maintenance (leaking shower, non-working jacuzzi, musty hot tub, unsealed front door), basic provisions (lack of toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags), and fundamental customer service (rude front desk, no refunds for weather-related cancellations, locked dumpsters for garbage disposal, ants in the cabin) paint a concerning picture. For any local seeking a comfortable, stress-free, and enjoyable stay, these reported issues suggest that Cozy Nest Cabin on Hoot Owl Way might currently fall short of expectations. It is always recommended to prioritize recent, detailed reviews and directly confirm the current condition and management policies of any property before committing to a booking. While the Smoky Mountains are a fantastic destination, ensuring your accommodation meets your standards is key to a truly positive experience.

Jul 03, 2024 · Ginger CovertDO NOT RENT FROM THEM. Terrible company ethics, terrible customer service. Won’t refund you even if your flight is cancelled by inclement weather. I mean, come on who can control the weather? We had proof of weather cancellation from airline. Still refused to give refund. Terrible company. Rent elsewhere and save yourself a headache. Would give them 0 stars if I could.
