Great location. My family and I had easy access to downtown but nestled good in the mountains. Initially, the cabin we stayed in was the not cabin we booked. I was skeptical after reading reviews (I know after booking π). I decided to call to make sure what I was reading wasn't actually the case (The Cub House), and the gentleman was very kind. He read some reviews with me and looked into the cabin reports to see if there were any recent inquiries. After some small talk, the gentleman decided to call the owner and ask if we could stay in the newly built cabin he owned. The owner agreed, with no additional charge. I did not expect such kindness, considering the new cabin was triple the price. Once we arrived at the Misty Mountain Getaway cabin, it was more than what we expected. Double decks with a beautiful view. The layout of the cabin was perfect. The cabin was clean. The only thing that was a bummer was that the pool wasn't ready in our section of the community. But things do happen, and the staff were working on it to have it back up and running. I highly recommend Mountain Shadow Resorts for family, friend gathering, and couples looking for alone time. Also, I can't forget mention a bear was spotted at the cabin beside us. Kids loved it! π
Hello, fellow Tennesseans! When the call of the mountains beckons, and you're dreaming of a true escape to the tranquility and beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg often comes to mind. For those looking for more than just a hotel room β perhaps a cozy, spacious cabin with all the comforts of home and access to resort amenities β Mountain Shadows Resort A Log Home Community stands out as a compelling option. As a professional content writer specializing in local businesses, I'm here to provide you with a detailed, factual, and engaging overview of what makes this resort a popular choice for visitors from across our great state.
Mountain Shadows Resort isn't a single hotel building; rather, it's a community of individual log cabins, each offering a unique charm and a range of amenities. This "log home community" approach provides guests with the privacy and space of a private rental, combined with the convenience of resort-style facilities. It's designed for families, friends, and couples seeking a memorable and immersive Smoky Mountain experience.
While some past guest experiences, as with any rental community, might highlight specific unit-level issues or maintenance timing, the overall sentiment points to a strong focus on location, comfort, and the helpfulness of the management. This article will explore the resort's prime location, the services and features you can expect, potential offers, and why it's a fantastic fit for locals looking to explore their own state's treasures.

One of the most significant advantages for visitors is its close proximity to downtown Gatlinburg. Jun 12, 2024 Β· Heather HottBeautiful cabins. Full kitchen. We have a hot tub on the back deck and a jacuzzi inside. Front porch back porch. There's a pool were a little early in the season so not open yet for us. Our suitcases exploded over the couch so excuse the mess lol. But this place is awesome. My husband is diabetic so we can't go out to eat all the time. I need to be able to cook us meals he can eat. The hot tub is amazing. It's quiet here enjoying each other's company. Great wifi and tv.
