Days Inn by Wyndham Philadelphia - Roosevelt Boulevard Introduce

For local users in Philadelphia utilizing a "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, the Days Inn by Wyndham Philadelphia - Roosevelt Boulevard, located at 4200 Roosevelt Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19124, USA, is an accommodation option that warrants a thorough and objective review. The hotel can be contacted at (215) 289-9200 or via mobile at +1 215-289-9200. Drawing from various online sources and customer reviews, this introduction will detail its environment, services, features, and any relevant promotional information, offering a balanced perspective for potential guests.

The environment at the Days Inn by Wyndham Philadelphia - Roosevelt Boulevard appears to be a point of significant contention among guests. While some official descriptions might highlight a "newly remodeled" appearance with new carpeting in public areas, numerous customer reviews paint a less flattering picture. Guests have frequently reported that rooms look "shabby," with "paint peeling" and issues such as a "tub didn't drain like it should." Concerns about cleanliness are recurrent, with phrases like "nasty dirty, grimy" and warnings not to "walk on your bare feet." There are specific complaints about "dirty floors and carpets," "bathroom in disrepair," "leaky shower," "slow draining sink," "dirty sheets and towels," "stains and holes in walls," and "roaches in rooms," including reports of "urine odor." Several reviews mention a strong smell of cigarettes, even in non-smoking rooms, indicating challenges with smoke remediation or enforcement of non-smoking policies. The general atmosphere has been described as "unsafe" by some guests, with one recounting a "situation as we walked in" that made them and their child feel traumatized. The neighborhood itself, Roosevelt Boulevard, is known to be a high-traffic, complex roadway, and some online discussions even refer to it as one of the "most dangerous roads in America," although this pertains more to driving conditions than direct hotel surroundings. While the hotel is conveniently located on a major thoroughfare, its immediate vicinity, according to some guest reports, might feel less secure due to observed activity. The visual appearance of room doors, with one reviewer noting a door that "looks like it's been broken into" but has a "chain lock," contributes to a perception of questionable security. Overall, the environmental conditions are frequently cited as a major drawback, impacting guest comfort and sense of safety.

Regarding services, the Days Inn by Wyndham Philadelphia - Roosevelt Boulevard offers a basic set of amenities typical for a budget-friendly hotel. The hotel generally provides a "free light breakfast item together with your choice of coffee, tea and juice," although one very negative review explicitly stated, "There was no breakfast at all!!!!" This suggests inconsistency in this service. Complimentary Wi-Fi is advertised as available in rooms and public areas, but one guest reported not being given the password and being hung up on when calling the front desk, highlighting potential issues with customer service or connectivity. The hotel offers 24-hour front desk service, and some guests have praised staff for being "professional and pleasant to speak with" or "respectable," though others have reported "unhelpful staff" and instances of rude behavior, including being rushed out of the room before the stated check-out time. Housekeeping services are available, but as evidenced by guest reviews, the quality can be inconsistent, with reports of rooms not appearing to have been cleaned between guests. The hotel provides free parking, including for RVs/buses/trucks, which is a convenient service for guests traveling by vehicle. Smoking and non-smoking rooms are available, catering to different preferences. While some official listings mention a "small fitness center" and a "hot tub" (with "Super Deluxe Jacuzzi rooms" also featured), recent detailed reviews often do not confirm the operational status or quality of these facilities. Some sources indicate the hotel allows pets, though this is not universally stated or reviewed. Other basic services include free local telephone calls, vending machines, and an on-site ATM. There have been serious allegations and legal findings against the hotel's ownership regarding human trafficking, with a court ordering a significant payment to victims, implying a failure in oversight and security that could affect the perceived safety and reliability of the establishment, especially for sensitive guests. This serious legal issue indicates a profound problem with the management and security of the property, which is a critical service failure.

The features of the Days Inn by Wyndham Philadelphia - Roosevelt Boulevard are geared towards providing essential lodging. Guest rooms are equipped with air conditioning, flat-screen televisions (though one reviewer noted the TV worked, but didn't mention its quality), desks, and phones. Some rooms offer premium cable television with HBO. Certain "Super Deluxe Jacuzzi rooms" are advertised as a feature for "romantic getaways," suggesting an attempt at offering a higher tier of comfort, although specific guest experiences with these are not detailed in the provided reviews, and some guests reported not having a jacuzzi despite booking a room advertised with one. The presence of a "small bathroom vanity" and issues like non-working outlets, the lack of a microwave or refrigerator in some rooms, are specific features (or lack thereof) noted by guests. The hotel comprises 116 or 117 guest rooms, indicating a moderate size. Its location on Roosevelt Boulevard positions it near shopping malls and several restaurants, offering practical access to dining and retail options. The free parking is a significant feature for guests with cars. The official website states the property has been "newly remodeled with brand new carpeting in all public areas," which, if true, would be a positive feature, aiming to improve the overall aesthetic. However, the guest reviews indicate that this might not uniformly extend to the guest rooms themselves, or that wear and tear is rapid. The fundamental features are those of a budget motel, emphasizing affordability and a place to sleep rather than extensive in-room luxury or on-site recreational facilities. The inconsistency in amenities like breakfast and Wi-Fi further complicates the assessment of its advertised features.

From a promotional standpoint, the Days Inn by Wyndham Philadelphia - Roosevelt Boulevard's appeal, particularly on a "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, would primarily be its affiliation with the Wyndham brand, suggesting a certain standard, and its "affordable" pricing. The mention of "FREE PARKING," "free light breakfast," and "free Wi-Fi" are typical promotional hooks for budget travelers, emphasizing value for money. The convenience of its location on Roosevelt Boulevard, with proximity to shopping and dining, would also be a promotional highlight for those familiar with the area or needing easy access to that part of Philadelphia. The availability of smoking and non-smoking rooms caters to different guest preferences, allowing the hotel to promote this flexibility. However, the pervasive negative reviews serve as a strong counter-promotion. Phrases like "Horrible, I would give it zero stars," "nasty dirty, grimy," and "too expensive for the whole experience" act as significant deterrents. The specific complaints about safety ("feeling unsafe from the start," "argument in the beginning"), customer service ("hung up on me," "rushed us out"), and cleanliness (roaches, strong smells, dirty bedding) directly contradict any positive promotional messaging and highlight serious concerns for potential guests. The explicit warning, "Don't spend your money here," and the request for a refund from one traumatized guest are powerful negative endorsements. The widespread reports of unpleasant odors, lack of cleanliness, and disrepair suggest that the hotel's actual condition often falls far short of what might be implied by its brand affiliation or basic amenity list. Therefore, while the hotel might promote itself on price and basic amenities, local users researching it would quickly encounter a wealth of highly critical feedback that significantly impacts its overall appeal and trustworthiness as a lodging option, making it difficult to recommend without significant caveats regarding potential adverse experiences and safety concerns.

Horrible, I would give it zero stars if it allowed. There was a situation as we walked in, an I had a child with me. The feeling unsafe from the start. It’s nasty dirty, grimy, and they rushed us out, an out check outs at 11:00 a.m it wasn’t even 10:20a.m cleaning lady, also walked into the room stating we had to check out. I wouldn’t stay there ever again even if you paid me. It’s too expensive for the whole experience I would like my money back this expensive traumatized my child. The argument in the beginning, a the cleaning lady walking into the room. Don’t spend your money here.

Book for 3 nights for vacation. I can stay only 1 night than find another hotel with zero refund. It is a trash hotel never see before. Feeling unsafe, the room very dirty and smell bad, bathroom leaking and the lamp not working. I ask for new room they answer with a short word ( no, i will fix it) they keep talking each other don't care about me. I waited 30 minutes for fixing lol.

I want to congratulate the attention of the girl who was there in the mornings of my stay at 11 am, but not to the girl at night nor to the man who was with her on Tuesday, January 16 at 10 pm for their attention. . The rooms have holes that mice enter through and they had to change our room thanks to the prompt help that the girl in the morning gave us. However, since they canceled my flight, I returned to return to the room they had changed me to, telling what had happened and the staff laughed and paid no attention to what I had told them. Because the weather was so cold, I had to accept a room that even had holes in the blankets. I hope these things help to improve the hotel because what is shown on the page is different from normal rooms to King size rooms.

I do not recommend. Rooms are very small and smells. We had to get candles. There is no continental breakfast like advertised. It took almost an hour to get checked in. Just a horrible experience and overpriced for what they offer. It was too late to cancel after getting here, and I guess I should be thankful we had a place to sleep. Also the bed was uncomfortable as you can feel the springs in the mattress. I did wake up with horrible back pains. This was like a little back street ghetto motel.
