For local users in Union City, GA, or travelers seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" with convenient access to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Union City, located at 6743 Shannon Pkwy, Union City, GA 30291, USA, offers a budget-friendly accommodation option. This hotel aims to provide essential amenities for both short and extended stays, catering to a diverse range of guests looking for practicality and value in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Union City is strategically situated in Union City, Georgia, a suburban area southwest of downtown Atlanta. Its location provides easy access to Interstate 85, a major thoroughfare connecting it to the heart of Atlanta and its various attractions, as well as business districts. The most significant environmental advantage of this hotel is its proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), typically a short drive away. This makes it a popular choice for air travelers, offering a convenient stopover for early flights or late arrivals. The surrounding area of Shannon Pkwy is characteristic of a commercial and light industrial zone, common for hotels offering airport access and roadside convenience. While not a scenic destination, the immediate environment focuses on providing essential services and accessibility. Guests can find various dining options and retail establishments within a short driving distance. However, it's important to note that the environment is utilitarian, prioritizing function and access over aesthetics or natural beauty. The hotel property itself, typical of this category, would likely feature a parking lot, a main building, and perhaps some limited outdoor common areas. The focus here is on providing a practical base for travelers, rather than a resort-like atmosphere.
Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Union City provides a set of core services aimed at meeting the basic needs of its guests. These typically include a 24-hour front desk, ensuring that staff are available around the clock for check-in, check-out, and guest assistance. Daily housekeeping is generally offered to maintain room cleanliness and comfort. For those relying on digital connectivity, complimentary Wi-Fi is usually available throughout the property. One of the advertised services is complimentary breakfast, though a customer review specifically noted this consisted "only muffins and juice," and that staff were "very rudely replied that there was not" anything else when asked. This suggests that while breakfast is offered, its variety and the manner of service might not meet all guest expectations. The hotel likely offers amenities such as a business center for guest use, possibly with access to printing and copying services, and vending machines for snacks and beverages. However, a significant concern highlighted in a customer review pertains to staff conduct and service quality. This review describes "Terrible service!" with accusations of "nosey and stereotype their guest," specifically mentioning staff "watching you on camera all day to see if your smoking then tells you you cant stay even if you smoke outside in designated are." Furthermore, the reviewer claims this treatment was "only told to the young black people they dont voice these concerns to the other races seen smoking," suggesting potential discriminatory practices and a lack of professional hospitality. This feedback indicates a substantial inconsistency in service delivery and guest experience, which prospective guests should be aware of when considering their stay.
As a Days Inn & Suites property, this hotel typically offers standard features designed for a comfortable yet budget-conscious stay. Guest rooms would generally include air conditioning, a television (likely flat-screen), a private bathroom, and basic toiletries. Many Days Inn properties also feature amenities such as a microwave and refrigerator in rooms, which are valuable for guests planning extended stays or those wishing to store and prepare light meals. The hotel likely provides comfortable beds, though one review simply stated the "room and bed were only useful for an emergency," which could imply a basic level of comfort rather than luxury. For recreation, some Days Inn & Suites locations offer a fitness center or a swimming pool, but specific details for this particular property are not available publicly. However, the mention of "Suites" in the name implies that some rooms may offer more space or additional living areas compared to standard hotel rooms, which can be beneficial for families or guests on longer trips. The hotel is typically accessible, with features like ramps or elevators for guests with mobility challenges. Free parking is a common feature for hotels in this category and location, making it convenient for guests traveling by car. The availability of amenities like free Wi-Fi is crucial for modern travelers, whether for leisure or business. However, the operational efficiency and quality of these features, particularly the breakfast and potentially other shared facilities, may vary based on the recent customer feedback.
For local users searching "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Union City, GA, area, Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Union City typically promotes itself on its affordability, convenient airport proximity, and essential amenities. As part of the Wyndham Rewards program, guests can earn points for their stays, which is an attractive incentive for frequent travelers who are members of this loyalty program. The hotel would highlight its "free breakfast" and "free Wi-Fi" as key value propositions, contributing to overall savings for guests. Given its location, it is often marketed as a practical choice for airport layovers, business travelers, or families on road trips seeking an economical overnight stay. However, potential guests must consider the significant negative feedback regarding customer service and staff conduct. The review detailing accusations of racial stereotyping, intrusive monitoring, and rude behavior is a serious concern that directly impacts the guest experience. While the hotel aims to offer a functional and budget-friendly option, the highly critical feedback suggests that the actual experience might fall short of expected service standards. Therefore, while promotional materials might emphasize value and convenience, prospective guests should factor in these reported issues and manage their expectations accordingly. It would be advisable for individuals to review recent guest comments on various platforms to get a current understanding of the hotel's operational quality before booking, especially if they are concerned about staff interactions or amenity quality. The hotel’s primary appeal lies in its utility as a basic, accessible accommodation option for travelers needing to be in the Union City area or near the Atlanta airport on a budget.

Dec 01, 2024 · J JacksonThe room and bed were only useful for an emergency since our flight was cancelled. We were looking for a hotel with breakfast since it would be our meal of the day and there was only muffins and juice. When we asked if there was anything else, they very rudely replied that there was not. Terrible service!
Sep 01, 2024 · Carolina QuezadaI stayed there way back and I felt like it was cameras in the room based off a statement one of the staff members had made . I referred someone else there 2 weeks ago and they suggested the same thing cameras in the room . Watch you to much
Jan 29, 2025 · jamal walkerIf looking for a bed to sleep in and a bathroom to clean up in, this is the place. The room was nice. TV worked, bed was comfortable. The area around was quiet, plenty of space to lay suitcases. 2 places to have suitcases off the floor. Very disappointed with "breakfast " offering. The word 'light' is used to describe the breakfast offering. Standard size chocolate chip muffins. No butter/margarine, no microwave, no plastic ware. The juice machine was off. The front desk person was apologetic and reset the machine. The juice was cold. Hot water for tea was available. From the taste of the tea, it seemed that the hot water ran through some of the same tubing as the coffee. There was a coffee flavor to the tea. 'Light' breakfast would in addition to muffins, juice , coffee and tea, include bagel, bread, toaster, butter/margarine, jelly, yogurt, and milk. At similar hotels, waffle ( cook your own) and cereal have been included in the breakfast offerings. Service rating is based on the expectation of light breakfast vs actual presentation.
Jun 11, 2024 · Karen HookI am writing to express my profound disappointment and extreme dissatisfaction with the treatment I received during my recent stay at your Days Inn hotel. I arrived with high hopes, having read positive reviews about the hotel and its staff. However, my experience was marred by an incident that not only shocked me but left me deeply hurt and disrespected. On the 2nd night of my stay, my daughter, a 24-year-old adult, visited me at the hotel. When she approached the front desk and requested access to my room, the supervisor on duty, whom I assume is the daughter of the owner or manager of the property, demanded to know whom she was visiting and the room number. My daughter, rightfully offended by this invasive questioning, chose not to disclose this information. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the supervisor rudely informed her of the hotel's "NO GUEST" POLICY. What followed was a series of disrespectful, condescending, and outright insulting behavior from the supervisor. When I confronted her about the issue, I was met with hostility and aggression. She raised her voice, pointed her finger at my daughter, and repeatedly insulted our intelligence, stating, "IT'S SIMPLE!!!" while belittling us. This level of disrespect was utterly mind-blowing and completely unacceptable. Furthermore, the supervisor's behavior extended to prior incidents during my stay. I was subjected to threats of eviction and the loss of my deposit due to alleged violations of hotel policy. This treatment was degrading and humiliating, especially considering my professional background as a college graduate and government employee with a respectable salary. Despite being a paying guest who followed all the rules and policies, I was made to feel like an unwelcome intruder, unworthy of basic courtesy and respect. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism displayed by your staff, particularly the supervisor, whose behavior tarnished my entire experience at your hotel. I must emphasize that I packed my belongings and left my home to seek solace and a peaceful environment, not to be subjected to discrimination and mistreatment. As a result of this ordeal, my daughter, who initially intended to spend time with me, refused to return to the hotel, and my overall emotional well-being was severely affected. I urge you to thoroughly investigate this incident, take appropriate action against the supervisor involved, and implement necessary training to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Guests, regardless of their background or ethnicity, deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and professionalism. I sincerely hope you address this matter promptly and effectively. My experience at your hotel has left me deeply scarred and disillusioned, and I trust that you will take the necessary steps to rectify this situation and prevent it from happening to other guests.
