DO NOT STAY HERE!!! This has been one of the most upsetting and stressful experiences I’ve ever had while traveling. I booked this hotel from Friday to Sunday for me and my children—we were driving in from Ohio and had already been on the road for eight long hours. At around 9 PM, I got a call from the hotel itself asking if we were still coming. I explained that we were running late due to traffic but were definitely still coming and expected to arrive between 1 and 2 AM. The man I spoke with told me it was fine. He even took my card information over the phone and charged me for the stay. I felt relieved, thinking everything was handled. But when we arrived—exhausted and just looking for a place to sleep—we were told we didn’t have a reservation. I showed the confirmation email. I told them I had just spoken with someone from the hotel hours ago. The same number had called me. But suddenly, the man at the front desk was acting like he had no idea what I was talking about. He claimed it wasn’t him and refused to acknowledge the phone call. I asked to speak with a manager—he said the manager was “unavailable.” I asked for the corporate number—he told me to Google it. Yes, you read that right. He told me to Google it. So there I was, standing in the lobby in the middle of the night, with my tired and frustrated children, after a full day of driving—and he refused to help. He wouldn’t call anyone. He wouldn’t make it right. He was on his own personal phone the entire time, barely even looking at me, refusing to do anything to fix the issue. I was charged for a room. I had a confirmation. I had a phone call with their staff. And still, they turned us away and left us with nowhere to stay for the entire weekend. This was not just unprofessional—it was heartless. Families should not be treated this way. Travelers should not have to deal with this kind of neglect, especially after such a long and difficult journey. Save yourself the stress. Do not stay here.

Other nearby points of interest include Old National Park and the Georgia International Convention Center, generally within a 15-minute drive. While the immediate vicinity is characterized as a business district, guests should anticipate a typical roadside hotel environment rather than a scenic retreat. Public reviews regarding the environment are mixed, with some noting the convenience of the location for accessing nearby attractions, but others indirectly highlighting that the overall ambiance might not be the hotel's strongest suit, particularly concerning common areas like hallways.
Quality Inn & Suites Union City - Atlanta South provides a range of services designed to offer convenience and value for its guests. A key offering is the complimentary roundtrip airport shuttle service, available from 5:00 AM to midnight, which is a significant benefit for air travelers. The hotel also features a 24-hour front desk, ensuring that assistance is available at any time, a crucial service for travelers with unconventional schedules. Guests can also expect daily housekeeping, though the quality of this service has received mixed feedback in reviews. For business travelers, the hotel offers a 24-hour business center with access to copy, print, and fax services, as well as a meeting room. Other general services include express check-in and check-out, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff. While some reviews praise the staff's friendliness and helpfulness, there have also been instances of highly negative experiences related to customer service, particularly concerning reservation handling and problem resolution. This indicates a potential inconsistency in service quality, and prospective guests should be aware of this variability. Despite this, the hotel aims to provide a basic yet functional array of services to meet the needs of budget-conscious travelers.
The Quality Inn & Suites Union City - Atlanta South is equipped with essential features designed for a comfortable and practical stay. A complimentary buffet breakfast is included with the stay, which, while described as "mediocre" by one reviewer, offers a convenient start to the day. Additional features include free self-parking (including covered parking), a picnic area with barbecue grills, and vending machines for snacks and beverages. For those with accessibility needs, the hotel is designed to be wheelchair-accessible with features like Braille/raised signage, wheelchair-accessible paths, and accessible registration desks.
Quality Inn & Suites Union City - Atlanta South positions itself as a valuable option for local users and travelers seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" due to its competitive pricing and convenient location, particularly for those flying into or out of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The free airport shuttle service is a strong promotional point, eliminating transportation costs to and from the airport. The complimentary hot breakfast and free Wi-Fi add further value, helping guests save on daily expenses. The hotel often highlights its proximity to key attractions like Camp Creek Marketplace and the Georgia International Convention Center, appealing to both leisure and business travelers. For last-minute bookings or unexpected travel disruptions, like the car trouble mentioned in a review, the hotel can be a practical solution due to its straightforward offerings and generally affordable rates. While the provided customer reviews present a stark contrast – one detailing a highly distressing experience with staff and reservation issues, and another praising friendly staff despite some amenity shortcomings – this highlights that while the hotel aims for a standard level of service and facilities, individual experiences can vary significantly. Prospective guests are encouraged to consider the value proposition, which includes essential amenities and strategic location, while also managing expectations regarding consistency in service and facility upkeep. The hotel participates in the Choice Privileges Rewards program, allowing guests to earn rewards, which can be an additional draw for frequent travelers. Overall, for those prioritizing proximity to the airport and basic amenities at a reasonable price, Quality Inn & Suites Union City - Atlanta South offers a functional and budget-friendly choice in the Union City area.

May 17, 2025 · Janyce BowersBooked this hotel last minute due to car trouble on a road trip. Staff were extremely friendly. I cannot understate how kind they were. The room is pretty good for the price. Most of the downsides arise from the amenities. The elevator was broken when I was there and the AC seemed to not work in the hallways. The pool was honestly kind of gross. The free breakfast was mediocre, but for a place that I needed to crash at last minute it was very well worth the price.
Apr 07, 2025 · Mahir KotaHad a great stay! The room was good, and I got a nice rest. I arrived without a booking during a layover at Atlanta Airport, but Andre at reception was super helpful and sorted everything smoothly. The only issue was the shuttle driver not showing up in the morning, but Andre quickly arranged an Uber for me at no cost. Appreciate the great service!
Mar 23, 2025 · Sebastian KurzOverall my stay was ok. Except the deadbolt on my door didnt work, the hot tub was filled with cold water and dirty and the check out staff played in my face with shuttle service back to the hotel. When I checked in I asked the concierge what time i needed to be ready for shuttle service, he said 11am. He knew i needed the service because I arrived with it. The next morning he was refusing to take me back. Then i asked the driver myself, he caught an attitude and said "now he has to stop what he's doing" but he'll take me. He left he sitting in lobby for 45 minutes while we went to the back then comes out with an attitude asking if i still needed a ride. The service is extremely shoty here beware. Otherwise the stay day stay was ok
May 21, 2025 · Stephanie GilliamAvoid this hotel at all costs. If you must stay - PLEASE be careful and monitor your credit card. This hotel is privately owned and clearly mismanaged. We tried to check in, but the room was either occupied or just filthy. They had no other rooms available, so we left and booked elsewhere. That should’ve been the end of it—but they’ve continued to charge our credit card for a room we never used. Even worse, they’re still running charges like we’re staying there. Repeated calls go unanswered—no one picks up. Try to call the property now and I bet nobody answers. Pavan at the front desk refers everything to Andy - but will not give out an email address for Andy or the property (no paper trails). This place operates like a scam, not a legitimate hotel. It’s shocking that they’re allowed to stay under the Choice Hotels brand. Unless this is resolved, consider this a warning to others. Should it resolve I will update review
