I normally don’t give only a 1 star, but that’s honestly how bad this stay was. First off checking in, the line was a half hour long, with only 1 person working. The hotel is dirty and rundown, inside the room there were stains all over the coffee table. The elevator had broken tiles. Also the lady at breakfast was extremely rude the way she talked to us as paying customers. Just would never stay here again. It’s fully run down and dirty, overpriced with extremely poor service and staff quality. Pool was also not open because it under repair. Definitely not 4 stars.

While the hotel aims to provide a comprehensive experience, it's important to consider various guest perspectives to gain a balanced understanding of what to expect from your stay.

Environment: A Mixed Picture of Modernity and Maintenance

Delta Hotels Woodbridge, as a Marriott brand, typically strives for a modern and professional environment. The hotel features a contemporary design, often including spacious public areas like a lobby and lounge. However, recent guest reviews present a mixed picture regarding the actual condition and upkeep of the property. While the intention might be a sleek and updated ambiance, some customers have described the hotel as "dirty and rundown," citing examples such as "stains all over the coffee table" in rooms and "broken tiles" in elevators. This suggests that while there may be elements of modern design, the execution of maintenance and cleanliness can vary. It's designed to be a smoke-free environment, contributing to a fresh atmosphere for most guests. The hotel's location on US-1 South places it in a busy commercial area, which can be convenient for access to nearby businesses and attractions, but also means it is in a developed setting. The hotel is situated across from a large shopping center and has easy access to major highways, providing a functional backdrop for travelers.

Services: Comprehensive Offerings with Inconsistent Execution

Delta Hotels Woodbridge offers a wide array of services typical of a full-service hotel, aiming to provide a comprehensive experience for its guests. The hotel features a 24-hour front desk, which is standard for providing round-the-clock assistance. However, some guest feedback has pointed to issues with service quality, such as long lines at check-in with limited staff, and instances where front desk personnel were perceived as unhelpful or dismissive, even taking personal calls. The hotel has an on-site restaurant, The Woodbridge Grill, which serves American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there is also a bar/lounge where guests can relax. Room service is also generally available during limited hours. For business travelers, the hotel provides a business center and extensive meeting and event facilities, including a ballroom and multiple meeting rooms suitable for conferences, banquets, and weddings. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in public areas and in all guest rooms, crucial for both leisure and business connectivity. Free self-parking is provided on-site, a valuable amenity for guests arriving by car. Other services typically include dry cleaning/laundry services, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and daily housekeeping. While these services are offered, the consistency of their delivery and the overall guest experience can be a point of concern based on recent feedback.

Features: Standard Amenities with Varying Guest Experiences

The rooms and amenities at Delta Hotels Woodbridge generally conform to the standards expected of a Marriott property, though their condition and functionality have been a point of contention for some guests. Guest rooms are typically equipped with flat-screen TVs, coffee/tea makers, and private bathrooms with shower/tub combinations and complimentary toiletries. Reviews indicate that beds are generally comfortable. However, some guests have reported issues with room condition, such as stains on furniture. For recreation, the hotel features an indoor pool and a 24-hour fitness center. It is important to note that, as per a recent review, the "Pool was also not open because it under repair," indicating that availability of amenities can be subject to maintenance issues. Other features often include a gift shop/newsstand. The hotel offers accessible rooms and facilities, designed to accommodate guests with disabilities, including features like wheelchair-accessible paths, parking, and accessible public restrooms. In-room features often include air conditioning, desks with ergonomic chairs, and iron/ironing boards, providing essential comforts and functionality for travelers.

We were told we’d be upgraded due to our Marriott status. Got there and their “upgrade” was the exact opposite. When we complained the next morning the front desk person argued with us and took a personal call on his cell phone dismissing us. I would NEVER stay here.

If this is what’s expected at a 4 star hotel in NJ I’ll stick with the 2-3 star hotels in the future. What a horrible experience. I go into my room and it stinks of cigarettes and body odor and the shades are all ripped up for the windows. So they switched me to another room which was better than that, but this one had duct tape on the window shade holding it up and the refrigerator didn’t work and had duck tape on that. Also there was no microwave in the room. They don’t accept cash like most other hotels do and they don’t even provide complementary breakfast. You have to pay for everything. I’m only staying here because it’s it was provided from my company for an event. The company event went well and the food for the event was good, but the guy that was bartending was very rude when I asked him a soda that didn’t have caffeine in it. The prices for the drinks and snacks at the front desk area are outrageously high. Thankfully I didn’t have to pay any money out of my pocket. If my company plans another overnight stay at this hotel, I’ll just travel home and back instead.

I went for a shabboton and it was very very nice. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of storage in my room. We had 2 people in a room with two queen beds. We only stayed for two days. I didn't use the shower but it looked nice. The sink was good though I just wish there was soap in the bathroom but there was enough counter space. I didn't eat food from the hotel so I can't tell you about that. All the hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. The hotel had a nice cool vibe. For someone who doesn't like a lot of bright lights it was great. The elevators were spacious and came quickly. Never had to wait more than a minute for one. I would definitely go back with my family one time.

I am a traveling sales rep and frequent this area in NJ. I usually don’t complain but I am so lost for worlds. I was upgraded two stays ago to a suite that had a roof leak in front my of door (wet carpet). I told the desk and it took an additional day to add a bucket for the drips…. Cool I most recently had 3 separate rooms for two contractors and myself. We were charged a $250 smoking fee to the bill. No one mentioned this, no email, only found out weeks later when doing my expense report. None of us smoke/vape/or would do anything to emit smoke in our rooms. The manager was persistent that he would not refund this charge (complete bs). I’m done with people who are in hospitality and don’t care. 40+ nights a year just moved down the road to a better hotel.
