The staff was warm and friendly, and the room was clean. However, I would not stay at this hotel again. I would drive further to stay at a more comfortable hotel, especially considering the price we paid, and I am pretty easy to please. - The hallway to our wing smelled like a nursing home, mixed with harsh cleaner scents. - The room smelled strongly of a different industrial cleaner. It burned our eyes and noses. We woke up not feeling well in the morning, and with swollen eyes. - There was mold (maybe dust?) in the heating unit and a leaky window, so mold could have also been the cause of irritation. - The floor squeaked when we walked on it, and when people in the adjacent room walked on it. - The doors slammed loudly when other guests entered/exited their rooms, and conversation could be heard through the walls, through the night. - The mattress was uncomfortable, squishy foam. I removed the bedding, and put it on the floor to sleep. Thankfully, it was cleaned well, despite its built-in issues. Perhaps other wings of the hotel were better constructed, as the lobby seemed lovely.

The immediate surroundings are generally suburban, offering a quieter atmosphere than the bustling downtown core. However, the presence of various dining options nearby, including local establishments and national chains, contributes to the convenience. The hotel itself, despite its size, aims to create a welcoming ambiance, with a lobby often described as "lovely" and featuring a cozy fireplace. The "serene atmosphere" mentioned by a guest suggests a comfortable and relatively quiet environment for relaxation, away from the immediate urban bustle but close enough to access all that Burlington has to offer.

I appreciated the serene atmosphere of the hotel, which contributed to a relaxing stay. The gym was also a standout feature, equipped with modern equipment, a clean environment, and even a TV for entertainment. I look forward to returning to this hotel whenever I'm in Vermont.

I was at DoubleTree on Feb 28-March 2. I liked the stay but it just wasn't the greatest. Stains on the COMFORTER , Mold in ice machine, No Conditioner in the Container, Took an 1 hour to CHECK IN, Hot around pool area, Had to keep going back and forth to the front desk for things that should have been in room. The food in the Atrium and Tavern was good. Construction all around the hotel. I liked that it was dog friendly. The pool was nice and I liked the gym. If you want a relaxing stay and a have a nice time with your family don't come her 3⭐⭐⭐

Not a good experience. We lost our white kurta and pyjama which was left on the bed. After coming back to the room, since the room was cleaned by Housekeeping team, we checked with their supervisor and she said would check on it but no reply. We informed reception and they said would follow-up with Housekeeping,. But no efforts by them. On the next day at check out again we followed up and were then advised that team would come by 8 and then only we would know. They asked us to send a lost and found email, which we did, and till date no reply received.

We stayed here for an accepted students weekend to UVM and enjoyed our stay. However, I’m sorry to say that we were overcharged on our bill and despite repeated attempts and discussions, it was very difficult to have the charges reversed. One of the charges remains on the bill. (One of the charges related to differences in a room rate—we were offered one roommate room right on the phone, but then charged a different rate on the bill. The difference was considerable.) This is disappointing as the actual stay was quite pleasant.
