The air conditioning unit in our room was so loud we could not hear the TV. We called the front desk to move and all rooms were full except king rooms (which we were told do not have a pull out couch). The noise was so loud it kept us up all night. There was no hot water in the morning for showers. We were able to move rooms the 2nd night. However, the floor was dirty (had gummy bears and feathers all over) and there was a very heavy perfume smell as if housekeeping tried to cover a smell. I am very sensitive to smells and immediately got a migraine from the room. The front desk offered to move us again, but we had to leave for a game and did not have time. They had housekeeping stop by to do a touch-up cleaning and maintenance came in and used an air purifier to stop the smell, which helped but did not get rid of it completely. The pool was closed and the little market store had nothing in stock. The staff was the saving grace of our stay, as they were extremely helpful and understanding. They are the only reason I would even give this hotel a 1 star rating.

Jul 15, 2025 · Beth WestemeyerI have traveled to different Double Tree by Hilton around the United States this by far is my least favorite. As a hilton honors member I booked thos hotel for 3 nights when I could chose any other I have never been here so I went ahead and did it. I also paid for the breakfast. Breakfast supposed to be open until 9.30 am I went around 8.50 am took a few things. Also I noticed they didnt have any whole grain, or whole wheat bread. Just whites not like other hiltons hotels. And the variety is limited. I was eating my meal and when I finish I was ready to get some oatmeal when I turn around at 9.13 am everything from the buffet was gone! There was a client that showed up at that time to get his breakfast. He just ended hungry because he though breakfast was open until 9.30 like I am use to in other hotels. They start putting everything away at that time. Paying for a low avarage breakfast was a mistake there is a breakfast restaurant 4 minutes away that serve fresh food and values your money. Call Egg Harbor. I highly recommend it meals are big. Also my room didnt have have hair conditioner and body wash. I asked to the front on the second night about the body wash. They clean my room on the third day but they never filled up the body wash. They seem to be careless. And I hear a costumer complaining when I went on the elevator thar his room wall had blood all over that will never stay here again, plus the air conditioning was minimum. Well I hope this review serve you all travelers like me out there you are better staying at the Hyatt Regency or Hyatt Place or Fairfield in Suites.
Jul 30, 2025 · Brigitte SaundersAvoid this place! My wife and I stayed here for just one night, when we arrived at the room we were assigned it was next to some very loud guests and it was apparent the walls were thin. We went down to the front desk with all of our stuff packed up as a power move and asked if we could be re roomed to a room that could be quiet and away from others. The lady at the front we dealt with that night was nice. Upon entering the new room the ceiling had a bunch of signs of water damage and the windows weren’t sealed properly and there were a lot of lady bugs I had to kill. One of the pillows also had a blood stain on it. The fridge smelled really bad and there was no trash bin except the tiny one in the bathroom. And speaking of the bathroom, we only had one roll of toilet paper, no extras for some reason?! We ended up running out of them in the next morning. The water from the sink like other reviews mention is very milky. And of course the best part of the bathroom was the fact that the switch to change to the bath to a shower didn’t even work so we couldn’t even take a shower! The night we stayed we wanted to check out the pool and the pool water was dirty and unclean and had dead bugs, there also were no towels in the pool area so we ended up not going in. By far one of the worst hotels I’ve had the displeasure of staying in, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
Mar 16, 2025 · StonesWe recently stayed at this DoubleTree, and while the hotel has potential, it definitely needs significant updates and improvements. As a commercial interior designer, I couldn’t help but notice how poorly the room was laid out we had only one nightstand, and I had to squeeze between the bed and the wall to get out. The furniture was very dated, our refrigerator didn’t work, and there were visible repair issues throughout the room. There was also no full-length mirror, and unfortunately, the room had an unpleasant odor. Let me also notate that the elevator was broken. This was especially disappointing because my husband is a Diamond member and we expect better quality at this level. I do believe this property could be great again, but it desperately needs ongoing investment and attention. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and brings this location up to the standards expected from the DoubleTree brand. Mrs. Patterson
Jun 09, 2025 · Renee JeffersonPro's: Great location, near plenty of food, Target, Trader Joe's. Excellent, friendly staff! The warm cookie never disappoints. Glad there's a fridge in the room. Con's:The hotel itself is dated. Bathroom has no ventilation or fan....worried about mold/mildew. Brown and Black spots throughout the bathroom especially the tub and ceiling.
