Our family of four loves Home2Suites. The kids love not sharing a bed with mom, dad or each other. Rooms are so spacious, comfortable, quiet and we slept great. They are more expensive than other hotels but I feel it’s money well spent. Breakfast was most delicious and plentiful. I only wish we could have had bacon one of our three mornings. Felt like close to the same thing each day but I’m not complaining. Nobody left hungry. We would definitely stay here again. Also, pool and laundry facilities were perfect and appreciated.

Jul 27, 2025 · Justin IdleWe did a digital check in via the app being a Hilton Honor member and arrived to find the door to my room was not fully closed and I opened the door to find the room wasn't fully cleaned or even ready for me even through the app already allowed me to have my digital key. The room was clearly still in the process of getting clean as the bed sheets were still off the bed and in the middle of the bed and there was dirty plates/cups still in the sink. The cleaning ladies notices us and tried to say something as we were walking to go talk with the front desk but we were unable to understand them as they didn't speak English. We talked with the front desk and they apologized for the issues and the room not being ready/clean and moved us to a different room. 2nd room - We got new digital keys and went into our second room that was given to us after the 1st one didn't go well to find issues as well. #1: tv remote was missing the battery cover. #2: sink faucet handle for the kitchen sink was starting to come off. #3: some of the counter was really old and beat up. #4: inside of microwave was dirty didn't look like it was clean. #5: the bath room shower was dirty (small cracks in the tiles, shower was leaking water onto bathroom floor) #6: bathroom toilet seat had some dry yellow urine marks under it. We did let staff at front desk know about issues with room #2 and just told them we already went to the store and purchase some quick cleaning supplies to clean the room up to our liking after finding what we found. The front desk staff did offer to move us again and even gave us a choice to inspect the room but we decided against it as we already were planning to clean the room to our liking. Overall, the staff at the front desk are GREAT and will work with you to give you the best they can with what they got. I can't speak for the cleaning staff who works at this hotel but based off what we saw the cleaning staff wasn't great. The hotel I think has seen better days and probably needs an update as we have stayed in other home2suites that are very nice.
May 05, 2025 · souaxiong18This place was a huge disappointment. I am currently a gold member with Hilton and had booked a room for work. Our automated travel system booked my stay 1 night too early. I attempted to reach the hotel via chat as it was late when I realized it. No one responded. I called them upon arriving in Chicago at 6 am. I was advised by the person at the front desk not to worry about not checking in, that the reservation was paid for, and I would simply go to the front desk upon arriving. I advised I had business and would be there until 6 pm. He said that was fine. Upon check-in, the person told me my reservation was canceled, and I would have to rebook. I explained to her the situation and emphasized the fact what I was told. She told me there was nothing she could do and I would have to rebook. I told her it was for business and I would have to call our travel agency and pay a fee for weekend charges. She again stated there was nothing she could do. I told her if I incurred the fee booking, I would book elsewhere, which I did. It is very unaccommodating and unprofessional. Upon calling corporate, I was told this is a franchise, and it was up to the local hotel regarding a refund for the one night. They said no. Unfortunately, when booking, there is no way to know if the hotel is brand or franchise but BEWARE. Never would I stay at this hotel for poor information, bad attitudes, and even worse customer service.
Apr 18, 2025 · Vickie SmithBED BUGS! Beware of this hotel. The GM is covering up the situation even when provided with photo evidence as well as a physician's diagnosis. I have been a diamond many times with Hilton and have never felt compelled to write a review about such a poor property. Do your research! This hotel is disgusting both in terms of cleanliness and professionalism.
May 30, 2025 · Anthony RocheleauI have stayed here at Home 2 Suites in Shaumburg for a month. 2 different two week stays and this is the cleanest hotel ive ever stayed in. The staff is lovely and Liezi at the front desk is such a shining light she makes you feel welcome and at home. The rooms are cleaned every couple days by a wonderful cleaning crew and they even wash your dishes. I will be back!
