Warning: do not stay here. This is the grossest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Three night stay. Discovered on second night there were major issues with the plumbing. The room was fine, could use some fresh paint, but the floor looks brand new and the bed was clean and comfortable. Great pizza place across the street. But that’s where the list of good things end. The bathroom was disgusting. There was a mystery puddle of water on the floor at all times. I noticed on the second night that there was some gross gunk in the shower (the tub took hours to drain after my shower earlier that afternoon). The next morning I learned why… when my toilet or the one upstairs flushed, it back-flowed up into the tub 🤢🤮 I got absolutely no sleep the last night either because of the heat/AC unit made a horrible vibration noise even after I turned it “off” it wouldn’t stop. Woke me up every 15min or so. There was also occasional bad smells like cigarette and weed smoke that wafted in throughout my stay.

East Norwich Inn Introduce

For individuals exploring the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in the East Norwich, NY, area, the East Norwich Inn presents a moderately priced lodging option. Located at 6321 Northern Blvd, East Norwich, NY 11732, USA, this hotel is positioned along a main thoroughfare, offering a convenient if not bustling location for travelers. For direct inquiries, the hotel can be reached by phone at (516) 922-1500 or via mobile at +1 516-922-1500. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on available customer feedback, highlighting both positive aspects and areas that potential guests should be aware of to manage their expectations.

The environment of the East Norwich Inn, situated on Northern Boulevard, places it within a commercial corridor that offers some local amenities. While the immediate surroundings are not characterized by serene landscapes or grand architecture, the location provides practical access to the broader East Norwich and Long Island areas. Guests might find a "great pizza place across the street," indicating convenient dining options close by. The environment of the rooms themselves, as described by guests, can be mixed. While some areas, such as the floor, might appear "brand new," other parts, like the paint, "could use some fresh paint," suggesting a variable state of upkeep within the accommodations. The presence of "occasional bad smells like cigarette and weed smoke that wafted in throughout my stay" indicates that the internal environment can sometimes be compromised, which is a significant factor for guests sensitive to such issues. Despite these potential drawbacks, some reviews mention the rooms being "quiet," suggesting that external noise from the busy boulevard might not always be an issue, though internal disturbances from other rooms or HVAC units can be a concern.

The services offered at the East Norwich Inn, based on customer feedback, appear to be limited and guests should adjust their expectations accordingly. A significant point of contention highlighted by reviewers is the absence of breakfast service. Despite their website potentially indicating otherwise, the hotel "do NOT have breakfast" and "haven't had it 'since the pandemic.'" Furthermore, there isn't "even coffee in the lobby when you get up in the morning," which can be an inconvenience for guests expecting basic morning refreshments. This lack of a fundamental service, often a standard offering at moderately priced hotels, is a critical piece of information for prospective visitors. While no specific positive remarks about staff service are provided in the available reviews, the issues mentioned by guests suggest that the operational aspects of service, such as timely maintenance responses to plumbing issues, may not consistently meet guest expectations. Therefore, visitors should be prepared for a more self-sufficient stay when it comes to amenities and potentially service response times.

Regarding features and amenities, the East Norwich Inn presents a mixed bag. On the positive side, "the bed was clean and comfortable," which is a fundamental aspect of any hotel stay. The rooms are also noted as "very clean" by one reviewer, suggesting that despite other issues, general cleanliness can be a strong point for some guests. However, several critical issues related to room features have been reported. A recurring problem is "major issues with the plumbing," specifically a "mystery puddle of water on the floor at all times" in the bathroom and a shower/tub that "took hours to drain." More disturbingly, "when my toilet or the one upstairs flushed, it back-flowed up into the tub," which is a significant hygiene concern and a major detractor from comfort. Another notable feature issue is the "horrible vibration noise" from the heat/AC unit, which reportedly continued "even after I turned it 'off'" and caused sleep disruption. These functional deficiencies in critical room amenities significantly impact the guest experience. The hotel's website might advertise certain features (like breakfast), but guests should verify current offerings. It's also noted that the place "used to be owned by Burt Bacharach," which is a historical tidbit but does not relate to current operational quality or features.

From a promotional standpoint, the East Norwich Inn positions itself as a "moderately priced hotel." This suggests an appeal to budget-conscious travelers seeking a basic and cost-effective stay in the area. However, potential guests using "Hotels Near Of Me" search tools should be aware that the actual guest experience might not align with typical expectations for a moderately priced establishment, especially concerning amenities like breakfast and functional room features. The available reviews serve as crucial, albeit negative, promotional information, advising future guests to "keep your expectations realistic, and you'll be pleasantly surprised." This candid advice underscores that the hotel's value proposition lies in its potentially lower price point, rather than a comprehensive suite of services or consistently maintained facilities. While specific promotions or discounts are not mentioned in the provided text, the pricing strategy itself is a form of promotion. For those prioritizing a very low cost and requiring only a comfortable bed and a relatively clean room, and who are willing to overlook other significant issues and the lack of standard amenities like breakfast, the East Norwich Inn might be a consideration. However, the severe plumbing and noise issues highlighted by guests warrant significant caution for anyone considering a stay here, despite its moderate pricing and convenience to Northern Boulevard.

This is a moderately priced hotel. Despite their website, they do NOT have breakfast. They haven't had it "since the pandemic." There isn't even coffee in the lobby when you get up in the morning. On the plus side, the rooms are very clean and quiet. This place used to be owned by Burt Bacharach. So it's got that going for it I guess. Keep your expectations realistic, and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

If you have allergies to dust or mildew, be sure to take your meds before checking in. The room was "clean" but musty and dank. There's a room for continental breakfast, but they don't have it anymore. However, my husband and I just went to the Landmark Diner not too far away for a great breakfast. I would not walk barefoot on the hotel room carpet if I were you... maybe burn your socks when you get home while you're at it. The bed was so squishy and there were only 2 very lumpy pillows for a king sized bed. Thank goodness I had an extra blanket in my car that I was able to roll up under the pillows for more support. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1, because I've actually stayed in worse, which is hard to believe honestly. The guy at the counter seemed like he didn't want to be there and was doing us a favor by coming in today.

The rooms are very big. Nice big beds. Bank and deli is walking distance. A quite out of the way place. If you need fast food just Google map it in ten minutes I got there even at 1 am.
