The staff was excellent! They were very nice. The Continental breakfast was ok. The rooms were clean. Maybe a little upgrades would be nice. The room key didn't work that well but it was a very nice trip! I love how it is dog friendly

Mar 30, 2025 · Kenneth SpiegelI was forced to change my reservation plans due to rudeness from another hotels manager canceling my reservation last minute, that was not your fault. However, I did call you before booking and asking specific questions about my accessibility needs. You told me you could accommodate me. Maybe you can, not sure but the room I was booked was not adequate. I could not stay here and was forced to leave for safety and wellness concerns.You did book me in what would seem to be an accessible room at the hotel as the room was in front of a handicap sign. I do not know if you had other rooms with a larger bathroom that a walker could fit in or handicap grab bars with a larger more accessible friendly toilet or not? you need grab bars around the toilet in an accessible room, you CANNOT put glass shelving directly over the handicap grab bar like you have in the lobby bathroom with grab bars and the floor needs to be slip resistant with a proper cleaning solution to help with that. You do need handicap parking at the lobby entrance as in this case with the room I was booked i needed to drive around to the lobby to get breakfast and checkin or do anything at the front desk.You need a shower with a handle for the shower head in the shower and a tub that has a flat surface. The tub in the bathroom was slippery, had paint inside the tub that came off of on my foot when I attempted to get into the bathtub. The bathtub floor was curved and extremely slippery without any slip resistant flooring or matting in the tub. That is a liability waiting to happen. The doorway into the bathroom i could not fit my walker in without folding it which i need for support and you most definitely not been able to fit a wheelchair through the door, or into to maneuver a wheelchair in this bathroom whatsoever which is a must in a accessible room. I needed my walker in the bathroom because you didn’t have any grab bars. This is a huge opportunity for you especially selling rooms as accessible. There is a large lip to step up to get into the room and it was also slippery. You could not get a wheelchair in this room without hopping the curb or a ramp to get in at the doorway of the room. I needed to be more cautious to not slip when getting into the room. The room itself did not lack space to make some alterations in the room for this accommodation. It was a decent sized room and wasn’t terrible. If i wasn’t disabled my only complaint would still be a small bathroom. The room itself was not bad. The bed was comfortable, and so were the pillows and blankets. The heat and ac worked great! I was able to use the bed for a single night bit if i could have gotten a different room or hotel that would have been my decision at this point it was too late. They told me to stay the night and wait till the morning to get a resolution. I explained i could not use the bathroom as it was a hazard . i could not clean myself properly. The staff here were friendly and understanding, but not thorough. They knew i had a walking disability and i prepaid for my room 9 days in advance they then put me in a room not adequate for my needs. I tried to call them before i drove the distance to their hotel and they would not answer the phone till after 3 pm that day December 28th.. I did request a refund which they did mostly except charged me $100 for incidentaly due to their negligence. This is fraud! I have you 9 days to be prepared for my arrival and another 3 hours i called before i drove to your hotel to be charged anything is outrageous! non of the issue that happened would have if you did your job! I tried to call them and they kept giving me the runaround and playing games with the phone. When they put me on hold the hold message was blaring so loud i had to pull my ear away from the phone. I’ve called Best Western corporate and the building dept! it’s illegal to not have an accommodated room at any hotel in the country.
Jan 11, 2025 · Kj OMearaThis is a decent hotel - bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, breakfast had basic stuff, and the fridge was helpful. Don't expect a 3- or 4-star experience, but if you're looking for a cheap, centrally-located place with decent accommodations, this is a good choice.
