We loved our three night stay at East Wind Inn. The meals are excellent with fresh ingredients, variety and lobster caught that morning! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Oct 14, 2024 · Karla ThomasBeautiful location and a true Maine experience. Fantastic food and service. I don’t have enough great words to say about this Maine treasure.
May 02, 2025 · Karry LeparuloOverall experience is top notch. Lovely location away from the crowds yet close to Rockland and Owls Head Museum. Views are as good as they get. Staff is absolutely excellent. Food is outstanding (breakfast and dinner). Rooms: my room was a 4/5. Comfy bed/linens, nice bathroom (older insert-type tub/shower with ill fitting shower curtain) but 2 things didn't rate 5 stars. First, the pillows were a kind of bouncy foam. I'm used to softer feather/down pillows and found these just a tad uncomfortable. We all get used to what we have at home, so maybe this criticism is a bit unfair, but the pillows didn't match the bed in comfort and were a level below what you'd find in a 4/5 star hotel in a city. Second: after we finished dinner and drinks around the fire pit, I thought I'd watch a bit of TV. The system seems quite sophisticated but I couldn't get view any channels (all stuck on "loading"). I should mention that one of our group found their bed a bit lumpy and saggy. My room (Captain's house, 2nd floor) was really nice. Overall, I'd put this at the top of my list for the area, and I will be going back (hopefully often).

May 10, 2024 · Kendra SchaeferOur stay at the East Wind was the highlight of our two week Maine adventure. It’s a lovely place and all the staff we interacted with were warm and welcoming. We enjoyed our waitress Kate, who appears to be the hardest working woman in Maine. We are now mid-coast Maine converts and look forward to future trips to the East Wind and sharing with our family and friends. We *really* appreciate this very nice, dog friendly accommodation option. Oh, and the food was delicious. There seemed to be some nice places to eat in the area, but we were content to have our meals at the bistro onsite.
