Me and my boyfriend stayed total of 2 nights. There was cigarette burn holes all in the top blanket on the bed. Old dry blood spots on the bed/ shower curtain!! Took our shoes off an our socks were black within minutes. The bathroom floor/sink covered in other people's hair an Filth. The "new soaps and lotions" that are here for the guests from the hotel were clearly USED an most likely left here from other guests and the owner was to cheap to replace them. GROSS!!!! 2 out of 8 outlets worked. And the best part the hot tub LEAKED through the WHOLE room!! Soaking wet floors most of night. Our opinion definitely worth the $120$ a night. 10000000% do not recommend!!
For individuals searching on platforms like "Hotels Near Of Me" for a highly budget-conscious accommodation option in Syracuse, NY, the Econo Lodge Dewitt I-90 may appear in search results. Located at 3400 Erie Blvd E, Syracuse, NY 13214, USA, this hotel is positioned as an economy-tier lodging choice. The hotel can be contacted directly at (315) 446-3300 or +1 315-446-3300. It is crucial for potential guests to understand that, as an Econo Lodge, the primary emphasis is on providing minimal amenities at a low cost. However, recent customer feedback suggests significant challenges with the execution of even basic hospitality standards.
The environment of the Econo Lodge Dewitt I-90, based on recent customer reviews, raises substantial concerns regarding cleanliness and maintenance. Descriptions paint a picture of a facility that is struggling with basic hygiene and upkeep. Specific complaints include "cigarette burn holes" on bedding, "old dry blood spots on the bed/shower curtain," and floors so dirty that socks turn black within minutes. The bathrooms are described as being "covered in other people's hair an Filth." Such detailed accounts indicate a significant lapse in regular cleaning protocols and overall property sanitation. Furthermore, issues like a leaking hot tub soaking floors, non-functional electrical outlets (only 2 out of 8 working), and outdated, unclean fixtures suggest a general lack of maintenance and investment in the property. These reports create an impression of an environment that is not only unappealing but potentially unhygienic and uncomfortable for guests. The atmosphere, as conveyed by these reviews, is one of neglect, which can significantly impact a guest's perception of safety and well-being during their stay. It is important to note that the immediate surroundings on Erie Boulevard East typically consist of commercial establishments and other businesses, but the internal condition of the hotel itself is the primary concern raised by guests.
As an economy hotel, the Econo Lodge Dewitt I-90 is expected to offer a very basic set of services and features. Standard amenities would typically include a private bathroom, a television, and potentially a microwave and mini-fridge, though specific details on these are not provided in the given reviews beyond a mention of a hot tub in one room which, unfortunately, leaked. The core service provided is a room for the night. However, the functionality and cleanliness of even these basic elements appear to be severely compromised, as evidenced by issues with dirty bedding, non-functional outlets, and unsanitary bathroom conditions. The review explicitly mentions that "new soaps and lotions" were "clearly USED and most likely left here from other guests and the owner was too cheap to replace them," pointing to a distressing lack of attention to guest comfort and hygiene. This suggests a failure to meet even the most fundamental expectations of a lodging establishment.
Interaction with the front desk, as illustrated by the transcript, suggests a limited ability or willingness to address customer concerns, particularly regarding financial matters like refunds or deposit authorizations. The communication from the hotel staff regarding "authorization for the deposit" and the lack of a "receipt on the charge" implies a system that can be confusing and unhelpful for guests seeking clarification or proof of transactions. This level of service could be a significant deterrent for guests seeking any form of assistance or resolution during their stay. There is no information provided about common amenities found in even many budget hotels, such as complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, or recreational facilities, and based on the other concerns, it's unlikely these would be a focus.
The Econo Lodge brand generally promotes itself on the basis of providing "easy stops on the road" and being a "simple stay." The core message is typically about offering competitive rates for fundamental lodging. However, the promotional appeal of the Econo Lodge Dewitt I-90 is severely undermined by the explicit and graphic negative feedback from recent guests. While a budget hotel aims to attract customers through low prices, the reported conditions ("worth the $120 a night. 10000000% do not recommend!!" and "You would be better off at a homeless shelter") directly contradict any positive promotional messaging of value. The customer reviews act as a powerful counter-narrative to any standard advertising, strongly advising against staying at this particular location due to severe issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and potentially unhelpful customer service. For individuals using "Hotels Near Of Me" and prioritizing low cost above all else, it is imperative to be fully aware of the significant compromises in quality and guest experience highlighted by previous visitors before considering the Econo Lodge Dewitt I-90 for their stay.

Feb 16, 2025 · Brittany ShirleyParticipant Please pull it now for assistance press zero to speak with the front desk Can I help you? You Hi, my name is Daryl Williams I still haven't received my hundred dollar refund back to my account. I contact my bank. My bank has been in until June 1 so is there any type of way I can get a receipt that storm that you guys sent the money back to my account. Participant It's just an authorization for the deposit so there's no receipt on the charge You So I'm approved for anything if I don't have any documents Participant So it's just an authorization service so basically there's not gonna be any proof for any authorization for any pending transaction. There's only approved when you charge your card for a payment. You All right
Apr 16, 2025 · DJ WilliamsI cleaned the tub bc I wanted to take a bath, let the water out to add more hot water and the water ran out on the floor, room 115, I called the office and he only asked me if I wanted more towels. I stayed here only bc this is what my company paid for. Waste of their money.
Mar 20, 2025 · Dee LucasI stayed at this hotel for a few hours, but my TV wasn't working. I called the front desk for assistance, and they told me to wait one hour. Unfortunately, we ended up checking out early because we were not satisfied. The staff didn't respond. Unless you want to stare at the walls. Save your money.
