Not a bad place to stay. Not a 5 star motel by no means but definitely not a 1 star. Take it or leave it, was working construction around the area and have had far worse places I've stayed in. If you're looking for a budget friendly place to sleep and clean up in this is the place for you. I wouldn't necessarily steer away from the place with all of the negative reviews 🤷‍♂️. Not a terrible breakfast either for the price.

Econo Lodge Neenah Introduce

This article is written from a local's perspective to provide a clear, engaging, and informative overview of what you can expect from this establishment. We will take a factual approach, based on publicly available data and real customer feedback, to help you make an informed decision. The Econo Lodge brand is known for its budget-friendly approach, and this Neenah location is no exception. It's a hotel that serves a specific purpose, offering basic necessities without the extra cost of luxury amenities. Our goal is to give you a genuine sense of the place, highlighting its strengths as a budget option while also acknowledging its limitations. By understanding what it offers, you can better determine if it aligns with your specific needs, whether you're a traveler just passing through or a local arranging a stay for guests. We believe that every place has its role in our community, and the Econo Lodge Neenah's role is to provide a straightforward and economical lodging solution.

The Econo Lodge Neenah is a hotel that embodies the "take it or leave it" attitude often associated with budget-friendly lodging. It is a no-nonsense establishment that prioritizes providing a clean, safe, and affordable place to sleep. It is not a five-star hotel, nor does it pretend to be. Instead, it serves as a functional base for those who are in the area for work or a short trip and don't need all the bells and whistles of a more expensive hotel. The hotel’s reputation is built on its ability to offer a simple and uncomplicated stay at a lower price point. While some reviews mention issues with cleanliness and maintenance, others appreciate its value for money, especially for those working in the area or who have had worse experiences elsewhere. This is a crucial distinction to make when considering a stay here; it's a place for travelers who are primarily looking for a bed to sleep in and a place to clean up, and who are not planning to spend much time in the room. The hotel’s management and staff work to provide a decent experience for the price, and the focus on affordability is a key part of its appeal. This local's guide will delve into the specifics of what makes this hotel a viable option for a particular type of traveler, giving you an honest and balanced perspective on its offerings and overall value to our community. Understanding the hotel's target audience is key to appreciating its place in the local market.

The Econo Lodge Neenah's location is a key factor in its appeal, especially for those who need easy access to the surrounding areas. The hotel is situated at 2000 Holly Rd Bldg. For those who are working construction or in other trades, as one customer review mentioned, the location is ideal for commuting to various job sites in the region. The hotel is also not far from the Fox River, providing easy access to the natural beauty of the area for those who wish to explore. The accessibility of the location is a significant benefit, as it allows guests to spend more time on their activities and less time navigating traffic. This is a major plus for locals who are booking for guests, as it ensures they can get around the area with minimal fuss. The hotel's position in a commercial area also means that there are other businesses nearby, adding to the convenience of the stay.

It was an ok place to stay for a night. Not sure I would stay longer than that. The grounds were decent, could use some work, and our room, while comfortable, needed some additional cleaning and attention to detail. The bathtub was dirty and we had residue next to the bed that I'm hoping was soap or lotion. Additionally, one of the beds had candy stuck to top the sheets. The front desk worker came to replace the sheet and used tissue to wipe up the residue. Breakfast was certainly not ideal, as the folded eggs were unappealing and the sausage was cold. We ended up just grabbing coffee and checking out.

I was pretty disappointed with the room for all the other Econo lodges I stayed at with the same price tag. The rooms seemed to be recently “remodeled” but you also can’t really tell by poor upkeep and still using furniture from the 60s. Floors were clean but not clean. Like walking barefoot, my feet stayed clean but they still felt dirty…. The nicest part of the entire room was the bathroom! It was clean and bright! I could see! The rest of the room was incredibly dark with terrible lighting and definitely gave motel no tell vibes…. However! The bed and bed sheets were clean and bed was surprisingly comfortable for an extremely old mattress. My other big issue with the room was the fridge…… it is brand new and it runs LOUD! I had to unplug it so I could sleep! My last minor issue, was that the internet and WiFi SUCKS!!! I don’t do live tv. I stream. So trying to stream TV or watch videos on my phone was difficult, especially since the building destroyed my cell service to almost nothing…. I chucked reading reviews because someone mentioned they found an old wash cloth hanging between the shower curtain….. Happened to me too. Seems to be a common place to hang them. Hotel might wanna start checking there. But it’s kinda one of those out of sight places… Last thoughts though, every staff I encountered was super nice and friendly! I didn’t hear jack from the neighboring rooms, which is uncommon for me. The breakfast was actually impressive for an Econo lodge. They usually only have waffles and cold cereal snd bread. This one has a full layout. I seen people complain about “food quality” I don’t know where your staying, but I don’t see any hotel serving high quality food unless it’s an actual restaurant…..Home2 serves the same kind of egg omelet thingys……. For the price, I ended up paying about $70 for the night. I wouldn’t pay that again, it’s not to my standards I’ve come to see from Econo Lodges…. Econo Lodges are actually one of my favorites. I have definitely stayed at one over a Comfort Suites just because I have always had great experiences at Econo Lodges…… I wouldn’t stay here again….. if it was more than 1 night, I would have checked out next morning and went somewhere else….. I’m not terribly picky, but this place was pretty bad. But big shout out to their staff! **edit and comment to managers response: Sir, I went back through reviews saying many things similar to mine not only recently, but going back a year. The same generic response is given, and the reviews don’t change. I appreciate that you read them, but then you need to take action.

DO NOT STAY HERE – Worst Hotel Experience Ever My stay at Econo Lodge Neenah was absolutely terrible. The room smelled disgusting—like rotten potatoes—and the bathroom shower was broken. The entire place felt dirty, neglected, and poorly maintained. The staff made it even worse. An employee named Shayam also know as Sam Patil falsely claimed to be the owner and manager, and treated me with complete disrespect. Another staff member, Jenny, actually attempted to break into my room—invading my privacy. Luckily, I had the deadbolt locked. When I asked for the real owner’s contact info, they refused to provide it. There is no sense of guest privacy here. Walking into the building feels like walking into a shelter, not a hotel. There is no on-site maintenance, and the staff clearly have zero training in hospitality or customer service. They only care about your money, not your safety or comfort. The phone in room wasn't working. When you talk to management they talk to you like your their slaves not a guest!!! Their bathroom toilet 🚽 seats are like baby seat. If you’re still not convinced, go ahead and try to spend a night there—and make sure you share your experience too. Avoid this place at all costs. One of the worst and most unsafe hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

The floor was absolutely filthy. Hasn’t been mopped in weeks or months. Careful with the receipt they give you for a cash deposit, if you loose it, you simply don’t get your deposit back. They claim that it’s their way of making sure of your identity, however, they didn’t ask for my ID when they returned my deposit, so how did they confirm that it was actually me? For a second I thought I lost it and they were happy to say “oh well” and keep my deposit. They could’ve checked my ID or looked back on the camera. It’s just a sneaky way of making more money. And, the manager during the day should never wait on customers, he’s just rude, cranky and terrible at it. Evening manager for check-in was wonderful.
