Rooms and lobby were all very clean and well kept. Rooms were also pretty well updated with flat screen. The problem was with customer service and management. There were only two people available and both were rude, unhelpful, and antagonistic. There was confusion over what they quoted us over the phone and they offered that my dog could stay in my car, no problem. Avoid this at all costs. Choices are limited in Caledonia but just stay the next town over.

Conclusion: A Consideration for Minnesota Locals
For residents of Minnesota, particularly those living in the southeastern region or planning a trip there, the FairBridge Inn & Suites Caledonia is one of the few local lodging options to consider. It provides a functional and accessible place to stay directly within the town, which can be a key factor for those attending local events, visiting family, or simply needing a break from a long drive. While there are some positive aspects noted by past guests, such as room updates and cleanliness, there have also been significant and consistent concerns about customer service and overall hotel management. These conflicting pieces of feedback highlight the importance of careful consideration before booking. For Minnesotans who prioritize a budget-friendly stay and a convenient location, and are prepared to manage their expectations regarding service, this hotel may serve its purpose. However, for those who seek a more reliable, amenity-rich, and consistently positive guest experience, it may be worth exploring other options in nearby towns. The limited choices in Caledonia itself make the FairBridge Inn & Suites a practical consideration for a specific type of traveler, but it’s crucial for locals to be fully informed about the potential experience to make the best decision for their specific trip.

Oct 16, 2014 · Bryon EddingerThis is by far the worst hotel I have had ever had the privledge of staying at. The rooms were filthy, carpet had stains everywhere and the lobby area just felt grimy. Didn't even bother eating the questionable continental breakfast. You could practically see through the crappy towels and sheets. Managment was spectacularly rude and hostile. You would be better off sleeping in your car than this establishment.
May 30, 2015 · Katelyn MoldanI was sad to stay at this hotel this last time. When the hotel was run by another company it was always clean, the people were friendly, and the food and service was amazing. Caledonia is an amazing little town with beauty all around it. I have stayed at this hotel for years. It used to be a great place to stay for family events, weddings and so forth. This last time it was dirty, smelly, and I blame the family that owns it and Fairbridge. The halls have stains all over, the lights are missing or broken, the swimming pool was closed by the MN health department, the phones in our room did not work to call locally and our cell phones had no reception. The food in the morning was from Kwiktrip and was frozen. The milk was a gallon in the fridge and there was no juice. Our room looked clean but had a nasty cleaning smell. It was so bad that we had to sleep with the window open and the heat on and ended up leaving very early in the morning due to we were not able to sleep there. The WIFI did not work and when you asked the front desk about it they stated that is no longer one of the items that they offer. The pop machines are there but all state that they are broken. For the first time in all of my years staying there it is to bad that I have to write a review like this. Caledonia is a great town with an amazing bakery, and fun places to go and see. This dump is what you see when you come into town and is one of the few places to stay.
Oct 14, 2015 · Michelle LeeI will never come back to this hotel. Hot water was out all day today, I told them I want a refund, cause I want to go somewhere else. They refused saying I have already stayed all day here even thought I've been away at work, that hot water was out this morning and its still out tonight. Their Pool and spa were shut down by the health department... nasty. There were spots on the sheets of one of the beds in my room. People here in town say if I ever have to come back, to stay at The Crest hotel which is also here in town.
Nov 11, 2016 · Alyssa RomanoI had to put a star up there to do the review, but in all honesty, it doesn't deserve one. Don't listen to anything the owners/management tells you, these reviews are the realist in terms of showcasing what a horrendous place this is to stay. By the way, management refers to this place as a motel. Believe management are husband and wife, and happen to be the only two who work here. The man is VERY rude and defensive. Nothing is his fault. The is also rude, but is much better at giving a dirty glare in guests' directions. You'll also find them both speaking in another language about guests (thank you google translate). BY FAR the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They "sell" a hand towel for $40 and a bath towel for $60... just in case you needed one to purchase? Breakfast is a joke, and often is never restocked in hopes guests won't bother with it. I WARN EVERYONE when I say this place will be a pure nightmare. Please seek another establishment to stay in when traveling to wonderful Caledonia. This "motel" and these owners DO NOT reflect the wonderfull town that it is. SEEK OTHER PLACES TO STAY!
