After an incredibly disappointing experience at another hotel near the Cedar Rapids airport, Jessica at this property completely turned our trip around. From the moment we arrived, her warmth, authenticity, and customer-first attitude were impossible to miss. As someone who has traveled extensively and teaches hospitality for a living, I don’t say this lightly—Jessica is one of the most exceptional front desk professionals I’ve encountered in a long time. She was not only gracious and accommodating with us, but I watched her handle both a joyful guest and a frustrated one—and she nailed both interactions with empathy, grace, and professionalism. It’s clear that she takes great pride in her hotel and genuinely cares for every single guest as if they’re the only one that matters. That level of service is rare and worth celebrating. Beyond Jessica, the hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-kept—but it was her hospitality that truly made the experience unforgettable. Thank you, Jessica. You reminded me why this industry matters. Brava!

Jul 25, 2025 · Lynea LaVoy3 things that stood out One: we got in late at night. (on a road trip across the country) My fiancé booked a stay with his points. A lady came from the office behind the desk to assist. As she walked out, her shirt was pulled up in the back so you could see her side/back and she had what looked like dried food stains all over the front of her shirt. She presented herself as unprofessional and was not very hospitable in checking us in. Two: the shower door, in the room we stayed in, (306) was broken on the seam of where the door connects to the glass, so water would get on the floor and the glass isn’t even fitted properly and it’s slanted where it should be flush. Third: it wasn’t even 9:30am when we got a knock on the door for housekeeping… we got in late and were in bed. That’s way too early to come knocking and to not even check with the front to see if we’ve checked out yet. Also, very loud as they were cleaning other rooms/like paper thin walls or ceilings. Seemed like the floor above us. Just overall, unprofessional and felt more like a motel stay to be honest. I don’t recommend but in a pinch yes it will work and beds were clean.
Jul 14, 2025 · Katie GoodchildAntonisha, the front desk person, was absolutely outstanding. She welcomed us with kindness, stayed attentive a presence made us feel safe and cared for, and it was clear she genuinely takes pride in her work. Marriott should be proud to have someone like Antonisha on their team. She truly made a difference in our experience.
Jul 23, 2025 · Bruce LeeWe have stayed at a lot of Fairfield hotels and this one was by far the worst. The guy who checked us in was nice, the girl on Sunday was very nice, thank you! The midday girl on Sat needs to find a job that doesn't require her to deal with people. She was absolutely rude and impatient and screaming at us in the lobby. Worst customer service we have ever had at the many, many hotels we've stayed at. Room was average. No fan in the bathroom so the condensation never went away and everything was constantly slimy and disgusting. Wifi was terrible. Area was pretty run-down as well. We definitely won't stay here again.
Jul 16, 2025 · Alison WormThe breakfast is great! I stay here and have My family stay here whenever they're in town, because the location is great the hotel is very clean and again the breakfast is great, and they have fantastic house coffee. That right there gets me in the door everytime. The pool is freezing and the hot tub was not in commission the two times I came, but the staff is pretty helpful. Everything you need is in walking distance. One of my favorite hotels in CR.
