The room was perfect for what we needed it for, sleeping, and I LOVED the complimentary breakfast bar. My only complaint is that on the day of checkout, a housekeeper unlocked and opened my door. My mom had just stepped out, so when I heard the door unlock and open I thought it was her, but it was housekeeping; They didn't even knock. Upon telling the Front Desk agent, he seemed like it was not a big deal. I'm glad I was decent or I would have made a fuss. Just poor communication.

The hotel's general environment, while being close to the lively casino, aims to offer a comfortable and generally quiet retreat for its guests. The parking lot, while sometimes noted as being less than full by long-term guests, typically offers ample free self-parking for visitors, a convenient feature in this popular area.

Services and Amenities:

Fairfield Inn & Suites Cherokee is designed to provide a comfortable and convenient stay with a range of standard and appealing amenities. Guests benefit from complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the property, ensuring they remain connected during their visit. A significant highlight for many guests is the complimentary breakfast bar, served daily. This hot breakfast typically includes a variety of options, although some long-term guests have noted a reduction in certain offerings, such as specific omelets, over time. Despite this, the breakfast is generally praised for being a convenient and pleasant start to the day. For relaxation and recreation, the hotel features an indoor swimming pool and a hot tub, allowing guests to unwind regardless of the weather. A well-equipped fitness center is also available, providing opportunities for guests to maintain their workout routines while traveling. While some guests have mentioned that the rooms might appear a little dated in decor, the overall cleanliness of the rooms and the property is frequently highlighted as a positive aspect. Mobility and hearing accessible rooms are available, featuring amenities such as grab bars near toilets, height-adjustable showerheads, and lowered electrical outlets, ensuring accessibility for guests with specific needs.

Promotional Information and Guest Experience:

Fairfield Inn & Suites Cherokee, as part of the Marriott Bonvoy program, often attracts loyal Marriott members who might expect certain benefits such as room upgrades. While the hotel aims to accommodate guests, some reviews, particularly from long-term elite members, indicate occasional inconsistencies with upgrade policies and maid service, leading to disappointment. For instance, a long-standing guest expressed frustration over upgrade denials and infrequent, incomplete maid service during an extended stay. Communication issues, such as housekeeping entering a room without knocking on the day of checkout, have also been noted. However, on the positive side, the staff, especially those at the front desk, are consistently described as friendly and helpful, often going out of their way to assist guests. The hotel's prime location directly across from the casino remains its strongest selling point, often making it a preferred choice over other hotels in the area, even those with higher price points or fewer amenities. Despite some criticisms regarding service consistency and breakfast variety, many guests report a positive overall experience, citing the convenience, cleanliness, and comfortable accommodations as key factors. For those seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" with direct access to casino entertainment and a reliable brand standard, Fairfield Inn & Suites Cherokee remains a strong contender, offering a generally pleasant stay with valuable amenities.

Bring Cooper back! This place ran great when Cooper was here. We have come here 2 to 3 times a year for the past 10 years. Each trip we stay a minimum of a week and typically about 10-12 days. Additionally, we maintain a Titanium Elite status for Marriott as well. Based on all of these metrics one would think that we might get some special treatment here. However, the last trip was rather disappointing. I booked a month in advance much like I do with all of our trips here. In the past, we would always get upgraded at check in. This time I was told that they weren’t able to upgrade me. I mentioned I was always given an upgrade in the past and that I was in fact told when I called to make the reservation that the upgrade would be no problem just like always. They said too bad that someone told me that because they weren’t going to upgrade me. When I inquired why the change to previous stays they finally stated that I could get the upgrade for some nights but that they would have to move me at least five times during my stay. This made no logical sense so I pressed as to why that would be. I was told that it was because they were receiving other requests coming in where groups wanted to be blocked off together. OK fine then put me dead center or on a book end. Again why would I need to be moved? And if I booked first, shouldn’t I be given the priority? They said it wasn’t that simple. Again a very strange response. None of the rooms are adjoining. I’m not sure how me having one room will disrupt a group of people in any way, shape, or form. But they insisted that I would have to move every day or two if I wanted any upgrade. Rather than deal with that I gave in and was given a small room with two double beds. During check in they asked if I wanted maid service during my 12 day stay. I asked if there was any benefit to declining such as getting points or getting a reduced rate. They stated there was no difference. So I said yes of course I would like the maid service during my stay. Over the course of my 12 day stay the maid service came in one time. Once. They made one of the beds. They didn’t vacuum. They didn’t clean the bathroom. But did they steal two of the four clean towels that I had in the room. That was the extent of the maid service during my stay. Beyond the lack of an upgrade for a continued repeat customer they also have pulled back considerably on the breakfast offerings. In the past, one could count on seeing some ham and cheese omelets every 3rd or 4th day. They didn’t have them out a single time on this 12 day trip. The rest of the breakfast offering is lackluster. We like to support Marriott. And this Fairfield is directly across the street from the casino making it an ideal location. But I noticed that the parking lot that is usually jam packed was less than half full most every night. Apparently, other people must be getting frustrated with this location too. I’d love to hear back from management. Moreso, I’d love to hear that they’ll provide a better experience in the future should I continue to book here. On the pro side I will state that the people behind the desk have always been friendly as a general rule which we do appreciate. But that isn’t enough to overcome the lack of upgrade, poor maid service, and lackluster breakfast offering. If it was just one of those things we would probably deal with it. Dealing with the combination of all of those metrics is rather disappointing. In short, the experience made us feel unappreciated as loyal Marriott members.

We had a very nice person check us in. Gave us great directions and suggestions on dining in the area. Our room was clean and place was very nice. Breakfast was free and simple. Right across the street was the casino. Will come back here again.

I have stayed here twice in a week. The rooms I have had have been clean and staff has been friendly. This last stay the room next to me had been smoking cigarettes in their bathroom all morning causing my room to STINK! I notified the front desk and while I did receive a her that stinks…I never received I am sorry how can we make your stay better? Anyways, I will be back. I will not let one stay deter me from staying again. Location is ideal to the casino and other attractions.

I would not stay here again. The rooms are very outdated and need a major update. The bathroom was not clean and the beds are hard and small. The room had a weird smell. It was not worth the money we paid at all. As far as convenience to the casino, you can’t get any better. But if you like to stay in a nice hotel, this is not it.
