Sure is big and pretty! I like a lot of the dealers I’ve talked to. Pit bosses and above I could do without. Arrogant and unfriendly. Won a roughly $1000 bet, they said I didn’t, said they’d check the video, they didn’t. When approached again they said they’d pull the video and contact me, they didn’t. And addressed one more time to no avail. The bonus bets are mostly a joke. Why give me a bonus bet and tell me I can’t hardly use it? Compared to any other casino I’ve been to this is the tightest, least fun and least rewarding of them all.

The environment of Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort is characterized by its grand scale and meticulous design, integrated into the natural beauty of Western North Carolina. The resort is nestled amidst the scenic Great Smoky Mountains, offering picturesque views and a refreshing mountain atmosphere. The property spans a significant area, featuring multiple hotel towers (including the Mountain, Creek, and Soco Towers) that contribute to an impressive skyline. The grounds are immaculately maintained, with a focus on creating a visually appealing and clean environment, from the sprawling casino floor to the various dining areas, pools, and public spaces. The overall ambiance is vibrant and energetic, reflecting its status as a major regional entertainment hub. While guests are constantly reminded of the natural beauty outside, the resort's design encourages an immersive experience, where all desired amenities and activities are conveniently located within the complex. Being an enterprise of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, the resort also subtly integrates aspects of the local heritage into its aesthetic, creating a unique sense of place. Despite its large size, the resort is designed for ease of navigation, though some guests might find the sheer scale requires a bit of walking to get from one end to another. The resort's commitment to environmental sustainability is evident through various initiatives, including recycling programs, water conservation efforts, and energy-efficient systems, including a green roof and even a solar farm at a sister property.
The services at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort are extensive, catering to a wide array of guest needs and preferences. A 24-hour front desk ensures around-the-clock assistance for check-in (typically from 4:00 PM), check-out (by 11:00 AM), and any inquiries. Complimentary self-parking is readily available in a large parking garage, and valet parking services are also offered for added convenience. The hotel boasts over 1,800 luxurious rooms and suites across its towers, each meticulously appointed with amenities like premium bedding (often Simmons Beautyrest mattresses with Eucalyptus-blend sheets), a mini-fridge, a 50-inch Samsung flat-screen TV with cable channels, an in-room safe, a desk, and a laptop workspace. Large bathrooms often feature imported Italian marble vanities and rain + wall shower heads. While basic Wi-Fi is usually free, higher-speed internet may be available for an additional fee. The resort offers a diverse array of dining options with over 10 restaurants, including celebrity chef concepts like Gordon Ramsay Food Market, Guy Fieri's Cherokee Kitchen + Bar, and Ruth's Chris Steak House. These cater to all meals and preferences, from quick bites to fine dining. Room service and "Caesars Eats" (an in-house delivery service) provide convenient in-room dining. For relaxation and rejuvenation, the 18,000-square-foot Mandara Spa offers a comprehensive menu of treatments, including massages, facials, and body therapies, along with a sauna and Jacuzzi pool. The resort also features an indoor pool (open year-round), a seasonal outdoor pool with a poolside bar and cabanas, and a well-equipped fitness center, all accessible to hotel guests, often requiring a room key. Concierge services are on hand to assist with reservations for shows, spa treatments, golf tee times, or any other guest needs. For Caesars Rewards members, a robust loyalty program offers various benefits, including exclusive pricing, personalized offers, and access to special promotions. The resort is also equipped with a business center and extensive meeting and convention facilities, including an 83,000-square-foot convention center, making it suitable for both leisure and corporate events. The property has a strict no-smoking policy within hotel rooms and a no-pet policy, with exceptions only for registered service animals, although some select rooms in a designated Pet Stay program may allow canine companions for a fee.
The features of Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort are its defining characteristics, making it a comprehensive entertainment hub. The centerpiece is the expansive 150,000-plus square-foot casino floor, featuring over 3,000 slot machines, over 160 traditional table games (including Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Mini-Baccarat, and Poker), and a dedicated World Series of Poker - Poker Room with 32 tables. The Caesars Sportsbook provides a premier sports betting experience with a large 90-foot screen and private "Fan Caves." Beyond gaming, the resort's key features include:
From a promotional standpoint, Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort is heavily marketed as a premier "Majesty in the Mountains" destination, promising "unforgettable getaways" with "luxe hotel accommodations and amenities, thrilling casino excitement, celebrity chef restaurants, world-class golf, high-octane shows and events, shopping, and so much more." They frequently offer a wide array of promotions, including "Vacation Sales," upgraded room deals, and special discounts for veterans and military personnel. For casino enthusiasts, numerous daily, weekly, and seasonal promotions are available, such as "Next Day Free Play," "Birthday Rewards," and large prize giveaways, all integrated with the Caesars Rewards loyalty program. However, it is crucial to consider real customer feedback to gain a balanced perspective. While many reviews praise the resort's impressive size, overall beauty, cleanliness of the rooms, and the friendly nature of many dealers and cleaning staff (with one guest specifically commending "Vina" for 6-star service), some recurring criticisms exist. Issues mentioned include the perceived "tightness" of slot machines and table games, with some guests feeling that "bonus bets are mostly a joke." There have been reports of unsatisfactory experiences with pit bosses or higher-level staff regarding disputed winnings, with claims of video review promises not being kept. Room comfort, specifically the beds ("a rock") and pillows ("non-existent"), has been a point of contention for some guests. Noise disturbances from other guests in hallways or on balconies, particularly during late hours, have also been reported, with occasional difficulty in getting a resolution from the front desk. Furthermore, while the dining options are plentiful, some guests have expressed disappointment with the quality-to-price ratio at certain "big name" restaurants, suggesting better culinary experiences can be found outside the casino. Despite these points, the overwhelming consensus from many visitors is positive, leading to repeated stays, particularly for those who prioritize the all-encompassing entertainment and gaming experience within a luxurious setting. Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort is an ideal choice for adults seeking a vibrant, amenity-rich resort vacation focused on gaming, entertainment, and leisure, rather than a quiet, secluded retreat.

May 01, 2025 · Bob WeirExcellent place to stay. Clean comfortable rooms. Thank you for your service. Much appreciated.
Oct 02, 2024 · Darren GrantConfusing and disconnected casino floor layout, confusing self park directions. Multi building & multi floor layout and no clear/easily accessible foodcourt area... we finally found it after making our way to the other building for Guy Fieri restaurant, which was very good. Slot prices are too high as well as table games IMO. Attempted earlier in the week to see about an affordable room Friday/Saturday night since we were driving through from pigeon forge on way home and were told @$500/night ... No way that was going to get us to stay longer and spend more money in the casino (fairly sure I have a free night stay/credit, but must be limited to certain days only). Staff was friendly. Generally disappointing all around, and reminded us why we prefer Cherokee Valley River over this location.
