Fairway Forest Resort was a great stay overall! The rooms have been recently renovated and were very clean, with modern touches, fast WiFi, and nice TVs. We especially loved the oversized tub and walk-in showers—everything felt spacious and comfortable. The balcony had beautiful views and was a perfect spot to unwind after a day of hiking. The location is also a huge plus—very convenient for accessing nearby trails, waterfalls, and parks. Gorges State Park is just a short drive away, offering stunning waterfalls, scenic overlooks, and a variety of hiking trails suitable for all skill levels. While the resort doesn’t have an on-site restaurant, there are several excellent dining options nearby. Mica’s Restaurant & Pub offers a cozy atmosphere and a diverse menu featuring everything from juicy burgers to fresh seafood. For a more upscale experience, Canyon Kitchen provides farm-to-table dining in a picturesque setting surrounded by granite cliffs. Panthertown Cafe is a great spot for breakfast or lunch, known for its French toast and Eggs Benedict, and is conveniently located near the Grassy Ridge entrance of Gorges State Park. The rec center had a lot to offer: indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, a gym, walking track, sauna, kids’ play area, and basketball court. While the amenities were a nice bonus, they’re definitely showing some age. The pool wasn’t the cleanest, and we noticed they were regularly adding water to the hot tubs without visibly testing or adding chemicals, which was a bit concerning. That said, the staff was fantastic—friendly, responsive, and quick to assist whenever needed. With some updates to the rec facilities, this would easily be a 5-star stay. Still highly recommend for the comfort, location, and overall experience!

Apr 19, 2025 · Aaron MillsI had a wonderful stay at Fairway Forest thanks to the amazing service provided by the staff. Cora Lee and Nicole at the front desk went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, offering helpful tips about the area and always greeting me with a warm smile. Moreover, Billie, the manager, was exceptionally kind and eager to assist, ensuring my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, the hospitality I experienced made my visit truly memorable, and I can’t wait to return!
May 31, 2025 · Rebekah PaulsenI've stayed here twice and both times have really enjoyed. It's very quiet and secluded. Great place to get away from the noise. Tons of space for one person. Modern, updated furnishings but still has a rustic vibe to it. Overall very comfortable! Relaxing on the balcony/deck is the best part! Will definitely be back!
Dec 17, 2024 · Andrew KennealyThis is a beautiful area and pretty quiet. Upon arriving I was charged for their “activities” I had made it clear that I was simply coming here to relax and maybe drive to a waterfall but I HAD to pay and extra 155.00 for “activities “ for which I have no interest in at this time. I also had called to make sure my room had a jacuzzi bathtub as advertised and I was told yes my place will have one. But after getting to my condo/apartment there was no jacuzzi bathtub. Most people might think this is not a big deal but for me it was a huge selling point and I was told over the phone that yes they had them. After driving back to the registration building I was told that The person that I had spoken to misspoke and I could not be moved to another location that had the Jacuzzi bathtub because none of their places have them, but if you look at the pictures, they certainly do have them. It’s a lady at the desk, made several excuses and apologized, but the fact that they lied to me over the phone I cannot get past and as a result, I do not see myself ever returning to this resort.
May 17, 2025 · Csterling SterlingWe are Hilton Grand Vacation owners, and we travel a lot because of it. We normally go to the beach, but I have really been wanting to get away to the mountains. This place was so comfortable, I felt like it was more of a home than a hotel condo.
