We stayed at Fairway Forest. It has very nice accommodations, all newly remodeled with quarts counters and a huge shower and other high end furnishings. The pool and other amenities are 3 mile drive and the lake is about 2 minutes away. No kids allowed in the sauna or hot tub. Pools are heated. Very few stores if you need anything you have to drive an hour if dollar general or Ingles don't carry it.

Sapphire Valley Resorts Introduce

For local users searching within the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, Sapphire Valley Resorts emerges as an outstanding and comprehensive destination, offering a wide array of amenities and experiences amidst the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. This resort is not just a place to stay; it's a vibrant community and a recreational hub that caters to diverse interests, from adventurous outdoor enthusiasts to those seeking peaceful relaxation. It represents a significant offering within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, providing extensive services and facilities designed to ensure a memorable stay for families, couples, and individual travelers alike.

Environment: A Four-Season Mountain Paradise

Sapphire Valley Resorts is nestled within an expansive 5,700-acre property, boasting an elevation of 3,100 feet in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains. This picturesque location, often referred to as "The Land of Waterfalls," is characterized by its lush temperate rainforests, pristine lakes, and an abundance of breathtaking natural beauty. The environment offers a distinct charm in every season: vibrant green foliage in spring and summer, a spectacular display of fall colors, and a serene, snowy wonderland in winter. The resort seamlessly integrates with this natural landscape, providing stunning vistas and a tranquil atmosphere away from urban clamor.

Guests can explore miles of walking trails, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and engage with the local flora and fauna. The resort's design emphasizes harmony with its surroundings, with architecture that complements the natural beauty rather than detracting from it. The presence of features like the private Fairfield Lake, a crystal-clear 55-acre lake, underscores the resort's connection to nature. This commitment to maintaining a pristine natural environment is a core aspect of the Sapphire Valley Resorts experience, creating an idyllic backdrop for all activities and ensuring a rejuvenating escape for its visitors.

Services: Comprehensive Offerings for Every Need

Sapphire Valley Resorts excels in providing a wide range of services designed to maximize guest comfort and convenience. While specific check-in processes may vary between different properties within the resort complex (e.g., Club Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Sapphire Valley often has limited front desk hours, while others might offer 24-hour service), guests can typically expect clear instructions and efficient assistance. Daily housekeeping is generally available, ensuring that accommodations remain clean and comfortable throughout the stay.

Dining options within and around Sapphire Valley Resorts are varied. While many accommodations feature full kitchens for self-catering, the resort area boasts on-site restaurants, coffee shops, and pubs, offering diverse culinary experiences from casual American classics to more refined dining. Nearby local establishments further expand the choices. For recreation and wellness, the resorts typically offer multiple swimming pools, including indoor heated options, seasonal outdoor pools, and dedicated children's pools. Guests can relax in hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms, or maintain their fitness routines at well-equipped fitness centers. The resort also provides a range of amenities for business travelers, such as business centers and computer access.

Beyond these, specialized services like ski and snowboard rentals, ski lessons at Sapphire Valley Ski Area, and boat rentals at Fairfield Lake are available. The presence of a dedicated Recreation Center and Community Center signifies a hub for guest assistance, activity sign-ups, and general inquiries. For accessibility, many common areas, pools, and fitness centers are designed to be wheelchair-accessible, and TTY kits are available for guest use. Complimentary self-parking is also a standard service, providing ease for guests traveling by car.

Features: An Abundance of Activities and Home-like Comforts

The distinctive features of Sapphire Valley Resorts are centered around providing an extensive array of activities and comfortable, spacious accommodations. The lodging typically consists of apartment-style suites, ranging from one-bedroom to two-bedroom units, often featuring full kitchens (or kitchenettes), separate living areas, and private balconies or patios. These units are designed to feel like a home away from home, with amenities such as washers/dryers (in most units), DVD players, televisions, and Wi-Fi internet access. Many units also boast cozy fireplaces and jetted tubs, adding to the comfort and luxury. This emphasis on spacious, well-equipped accommodations makes the resort particularly appealing for families or extended stays.

Recreational features are a major draw year-round. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy access to an 18-hole PGA golf course (Sapphire National Golf Club) and a 9-hole executive course (Red Bird Golf Course), along with driving ranges and putting greens. The Sapphire Valley Racquet Club offers eight clay tennis courts and pickleball courts. For water activities, guests can enjoy swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and electric boating on Fairfield Lake. During winter, the Sapphire Valley Ski Area provides opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing, with a 1,600-foot main run and a learning slope.

Beyond these headline features, the resort offers miniature golf, basketball courts, horseshoes, an arcade/game room, and playgrounds. For those seeking adventure, options like the Vordach Zip Line canopy tour are available. The River Walk, a meandering trail along the Horsepasture River, offers a peaceful way to connect with nature. The Activity Field hosts various sports and events, including arts and crafts festivals and concerts on the slopes. The resort even features "Bark Parks" with designated areas for small and large breeds, making it convenient for guests traveling with their furry companions.

Promotional Information: Value and Exclusive Experiences

As a leading resort within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, Sapphire Valley Resorts frequently offers various promotions and special packages to enhance the guest experience and provide value. These promotions often include discounted rates for specific booking periods, extended stay offers, or packages that combine accommodation with access to certain resort amenities. For example, guests might find deals that include amenity passes, which are required for access to many facilities such as pools, golf courses, and tennis courts (though some facilities like Ski Sapphire Valley and Red Bird Golf Course are open to the public without a pass). Some vacation rentals within the Sapphire Valley Resort complex may offer discounted tickets to attractions like the Biltmore Estate or savings on activities like the Vordach Zip Line. Loyalty programs, such as those associated with Wyndham Destinations (which manages parts of Sapphire Valley, like Mountain Laurel Villas), may offer VIP benefits, RCI Silver Crown Resort® awards, and points accumulation for future stays.

It is highly recommended for potential guests to visit the official Sapphire Valley Resorts website (e.g., SapphireValleyResorts.com or SapphireValley.com) and the websites of affiliated properties (like Club Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Sapphire Valley) to find the most current and specific promotional offers, as these can change seasonally. Early booking, especially for peak seasons like fall foliage or winter ski periods, is advisable to secure preferred accommodations and take advantage of any limited-time deals. Transparent information regarding check-in/check-out times, cancellation policies, and any associated amenity fees (e.g., $2/day/person for ages 14 and up with a 3-day minimum for guest amenity passes) is typically provided.

Sapphire Valley is great! Right in the middle of the land of 1000 waterfalls, you've got mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, and everything in between. Lots of good restaurants as well. I own property that is governed by the Master Association, So I'm somewhat of a fixture with them. I understand that it's tough to get people to come up the mountain to work when the cost of living up here is so high, but I do wish that the resort would do a better job of training their staff.

Please,Please do not use Sapphire resort. They are scammers, I paid off my loan, but was told I no longer have the time share any more, because of late payment of maintenance fee. But got mislead, was told the loan is more important than the maintenance fee. If you are in a time share of any kind, and want to get out, just stop paying on your maintenance
